I just buy a brand new galaxy S5 from an international seller en PriceMinister one month ago . The phone is stuck on Samsung logo at start so i just wanted to reflash a stock firmware using Odin.
J just need advices in order to know what firmware or files i should use for this phone . the sticker on the phone says it's a SM-G900F but for download mode or recovery mode it's a G900A ( see attachments )

Well first off, according to the firmware, it seems you have the AT&T version. The label on the phone is wrong, in fact, that label looks fake. The font is wrong.
Anyway, I am assuming you want to stick with the AT&T firmware for this. Use the stock build, it's the easiest to root.

Yup, that's the exact same one I used as well. Make sure you read on how to install it, too.

Warning: That will BRICK your device!!!
You're running OF2, on the G900A that version contains an updated bootloader and blows a qfuse. You can't ODIN back to NCE from that build. You're stuck on OF2.
Unfortunately, there is no ODIN file for you to restore the OF2 installation, so you have to ODIN to OI5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53454972&postcount=1 first link)

you were absolutely right .... my device is now semi bricked , i was just able to flash the CSC file ( BL or AP refused to flash )
Now here is the situation
1) i still have access to recovery mode
Informations on screen changed
it's now KOT49H.G900AUCU1ANCE
2) i still have access to download mode
3) going to reflash OI5 via Odin
reflash done

and can't get any update via software update.
for the record, the phone shows the AT&T software update which means i need an AT&T SIM card to get an update.
i'm frm morocco and if its An AT&T version of s5 , that means it was unlocked.
when i go to bootloader it says G900A....
as well as the download mode says it's a G900A
i took my EMEI and put it in emei.info website they said it is a G900f.
i installed an app from play store called phone info.
it says that my phone has A G900A bootloader , A G900A baseband version , an AT&T finger print build , and an AT&T original CsC code and an AT&T firmware's CsC code and states that the Csc country is Usa and the hardware revision is G900A.00
but on the other hand it says that my build number is G900FZHU1AND1.
please, anyone here can help me out with this.

Flash a G900F firmware and if it bricks come back here for unbrick instructions. Sounds to me like your seller flashed a G900A firmware on a G900F.
Network locks are carrier-side, not device-side. No matter what you flash, if the device was unlocked it will remain unlocked.

thank you i'm gonna try and flash A G900f firmware , and let you know then.
despite the fact that i have a G900A bootloader which is locked and means it won't let me flash anything else but G900A firmwares.
for the record , when i access download mode it says it's a G900A.

So I buy SM-N920S 128GB Note 5, but I find out that there is FRP lock and I am unable to do anything with it! Seller is no longer responding. I was trying something like that: (youtube: ggRhkme9FC0) with no luck coz apparently updated android in this device 6.0.1 is already fixed for this. And even after install everything inside phone, the crucial app cant be run. So I install Odin3 3.12 to downgrade and downloaded firmware with Android 5.1.1 but Odin is giving me an error SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE 2 BINARY 1.

HI, I'm confused here and I need some help.
Basically i bought a brand new S5 sealed phone in the box sold as a G900F
The box says model: SM-G900
behind the battery the phone says SM-G900F.
phone works fine, in settings about device. it says model number is SM-G900F
android version 5.0
firmware version G900FZHU1BOK2
now ive had s2,s3,s4, before this, all rooted plenty of custom roms.
my problems started when i tried to flash a custom recovery. and it came up with the error message:

When im in download mode it says:

okay I did that. My phone was brand new in a sealed box tho, ive broken recovery when i tried to install twerp inside android because nothing would flash with odin, i cant load ANY recovery, I cant flash anything with odin, ive tried flashfire NOTHING..... what can I do?

Holy sh*t that firmware actually worked, thanks HEAPS... I was about to throw this phone against a wall.
At least the phone is usable now!

I just bought a new Nokia 8, but it's on Oreo. I want to rollback to Nougat and root it.
However I saw many things here on xda and I fear to mess with my phone.
So first off all, here are some details of my Nokia 8 :

I've downloaded 2 firmwares :
NB1-484A-0-00WW-B03.nb0
NB1-4390-0-00WW-B01.nb0
Problem 1 : I don't know if there are Nougat 7.1.1 firmwares, so if anyone can confirm it ? ALso is it good for TA-1012 model ?
Problem 2 : I also saw the same firmwares but with "QFIL" at the end of filename. What is that ? Is it necessary ?
Problem 3 : How to downgrade with firmware like these ?

Why to you want to downgraded the phone? Is nougat better is performance or battery?
On all my phones, the most old firmware is always faster and less battery consumming than the last (I measured it).
But right now, I've succeeded to unlock my bootloader offficialy. However, when I tried to boot TWRP with Fastboot boot twrp.img, it's stuck on Android Logo Of course I can reboot my phone but I can't flash TWRP...
Is it becasue of 1st December update ? is it because bootloader isn't critical unlocked ? Or becasue of boot a & boot b partitions
Apparently it's because of December Security Patch...
Can I downgrade my phone to nougat to be able to root it ???
