I Thought it would be good to have dedicated thread to collate links, tips and tricks for the DIY installation and removal of a TGSP with LOCA glue.
I will update the OP with suggestions from below, lets get this nailed down.!
So far I have bought 2500 LOCA but ive heard that thinner is better ?
Neo3D has started posting some links for suitable TGSP's
To protect the earpiece I would use putty of some kind maybe some bluetack or similar .
How much glue? hoping someone will weigh the amount they use as we go on
I found some interesting info regarding touch screen relpacement which could give a good guide or starting point at least for TGSP
Samsung galaxy s5 s6 - 2.5 to 3.5ml
Samsung Galaxy Note - 2.5-4ml
Samsung Galaxy Note II NOTE 3, NOTE 4 - 3-4ml
There is a great video and a wealth of information in this thread here which I'll try and collate in to this OP later
Krazie Boy did a nice job HERE Using THIS TGSP And Some 2000 LOCA
Glues
LOCA viscosity 2500, 1000
Thinners for clean up of Loca glue
1) coleman fuel ( it is a black plastic bottle with red and white label any garden centres in uk sell them )
2) ronsonol lighter fluid yellow tin (not zippo)
( those two items listed above contains high percentage of PETROLEUM ETHER for samsung and iphone models it cleans without any problem
but some models of google nexus and they use different types of adhesive it won't clean )
if you can't get hold of those two listed above
3) isoproply alcohol (rubbing alcohol ) bit hard for iphones but better for samsungs
4) diluted acetone
Suitable TGSP's
This one in the UK, clear, no dots

The amount you need changes with viscosity and your patience.
4ml would probably be good for 2000, 3.5 for 1000.
If you want to test how much you need go to cvs and buy a bottle of pure glycerin. It has about a 1000 viscosity and you can mess around with testing your glass and such without wasting loca. You can clean it off your phone and the glass.
I suggest electrical tape on the sides and covering the ear piece.
I used a syringe to measure loca, but that will introduce bubbles if you aren't very careful.
With higher viscosity you can't just put it in a pool then drop the glass, it will never reach all the edges, unless you use more glue, then it becomes a mess running out them and sides.
Watch the videos of loca glue use, most people use a double y pattern for the glue, seems to work well.
I mailed xfactor, one loca glue seller on amazon to ask them to sell a glue in the 500 range of viscosity, and asked them if they knew what chemical we could add to thin out thier glue, they never answered.
I did find a thinner glue, but nobody sells it in small quantities.

If the tempered glass breaks how difficult is it to remove loca and the glass from the phone
Is there any video showing the process?

I actually broke mines, and it was really easy to come off. I used an old hotel key card and the glass just came off pretty easily. Playing cards work wonders too. As for the glue, a cloth, rubbing alcohol and 5 mins of cleaning got it all off.
Thanks bro...will definitely try..
Which one did you use and What do you recommend
Tp 2500 or 1000?

from my experience I would recommend loca 1000, it's easier to work with than the thicker loca 2500. if you do get bubbles while installing you can take your time and guide them out.

Please see the other thread that I posted on in this forum. The LOCA 1000 strength is too strong and may cause problems when removing. The strength has to be lower than that and it has to be thinner to allow for it to spread more easily.

For installation you can check out the above 2 videos.
No Y or Double Y pattern is needed. The amount of loca used is extremely little. Double Y will use too much loca and cause a lot of excess to run out and make the adhesive below the tempered glass to be very thick causing a very ugly side view of the cured glue.

These videos show their own branded adhesive and its niether 1000 nor 2500... thats why i guess it removed so easily.
Is 2500 weaker in comparison to 1000 or stronger.?

2500 is stronger in strength than 1000.
Usually when they talk about 1000 and 2500 what they are meaning is the viscosity of the glue.
With water being at 1 being the thinnest it goes up. Check out glue Cps values for a better understanding.

Most of the loca sold in the open market is around 1000 and 2500 cps.
Whitestone is using around 150 cps but I do find that a little too thin and the strength of the adhesive a little bit too weak.
Usually those LOCA that are lower than 1000 cps has to be specially formulated.
Will let you know if there is any soon LOCA that is thinner and will update this thread. Cheers mate

I'm sorry I don't think you have any experience with LOCA, at least not with LOCA 1000 viscosity. It is easy to work with and is not hard to remove. Your product costs $43 (in the videos you posted) and Whitestone dome costs about $45 to $50......while 2 tempered glass (of my liking which is full coverage) + LOCA 1000 (enough for 5 installations) + UV light...costs me less than that. All in all it costs me less than $15 per install.
And here's a note (no pun insteaded) if the tempered glass is shattered to the point it can't be lift off then some isopropyl alcohol (household rubbing alcohol) will loosen the LOCA up and it's extremely easy removal after that.
P.S it's not double sided tape, it's masking tape or painter's tape. After applying the tempered glass use the UV light for about 10 or 15 seconds at the top and bottom so the glass won't move then remove the tape the clean off any excess LOCA (if there's any). Then continue to cure the glass under the UV light.
Apply the tape on the edge of the phone so its not so far up that it gets under the screen. Seeing that the tape won't get under the glass, you can actually cure the glass with the tape still on the phone but I rather cure the top and bottom then remove the tape and do any clean up then do a full cure process.
I also want to say, good information is good, but bad information is really bad.

1) I do have a whole lot of experience with LOCA 1000 from the days of LCD screen replacements from Samsung S2, s3, note 2 etc
2) I will be posting up a video on LOCA 1000 soon and you will know what I meant by the strength of LOCA 1000 not being suitable for retail usage as it is extremely hard to remove.
3) when I meant double side tape, I was replying to a post of a member mentioning that won't it be better to leave the tape on the tempered glass while pasting using LOCA as it will hold on the tempered glass to the phone while the loca spreads. That is the double side tape I was referring to.
Anyway thanks for sharing and keep us posted the day you remove off LOCA 1000 or why not take a video to share when you remove? It will be educational for all of us.

By the way, we do it in a commercial application and I have done more than 90 pieces easily for customers.
We have gone through almost 10 different formulations of glue and are well aware that the glue in the markets are meant for AMOLED Glass replacements (those you buy off the shelf) 1000 and 2500.
If the glue need not be specially formulated, there is no need for Whitestone to even create their own version of LOCA.
We work hand in hand with a factory to get our LOCA specially formulated just for the purpose of it being more viscous and also to reduce the strength to a point that it is suitable for retail customers to remove.
Great post on your side though buy thought I better just clarify somethings.
How many pieces have you done and removed using LOCA 1000 by the way?

1) You have a lot of experience with loca 1000? Oh, ok I couldn't tell because of some of the things you've said sort of doesn't add up to someone with huge experience.
2) lol, I'd like to see that video because it seems to go against what I know and what I've been doing and my experience with the glue. I don't know what you class as "extremely hard to remove" but on an unbroken screen I can start the lifting process with just one hand to roughly about halfway then use other hand to keep the lift from the other side and voila. On a broken screen I lift up the big parts that I can then use isopropyl alcohol to loosen the rest.
3) oh ok, but I didn't see you quote the person so I guess I thought it was you.
I wouldn't be talking if I didn't have experience with it. A couple weeks ago when I was looking for a proper tempered glass screen protector for my phones and friends I thought about doing a video but didn't have a tripod or clip to hold my camera. So I ended up doing just a one handed video and some pics just to show the process. Before I found the tempered glass I liked I did do a bunch of installs and removals.
I have no problems with helping anyone, I actually encourage them to do it as it's much cheaper, each install costs me roughly $14....it could cost me even $8 or less if I use a really cheap glass.
That is interesting that you went through 10 different formulations and great for you guys too....
From my point of view the glue is specially formulated for lower viscosity so less is used with minimal waste which is better for the end user as there's little to nothing to clean up after the install and not for some other arbitrary reason, you can correct me if I'm wrong though.
I've done about 11 installs and some removals so far, I don't have the 90 installs like you. But I'm to the point where I get pretty much a perfect install every time since about the 2nd or 3rd install. As I've said before I have little video but it's nothing too special. By the way, it's been 4 days since you posted I'd love to your video showcasing how hard loca 1000 is to remove. Looking forward.

Actually just to add on. Testing so much LOCA recently also gave me some insights into the whole LOCA situation.
There are different LOCAs in the market coming from the Soft Cure LOCAs to the Hard Cure LOCAs. If you take a look at Whitestone LOCA, it is a SOFT CURE LOCA, when you peel it off it slowly you see the adhesive coming off slowly.
Let me just attach a photo of my Samsung Note 8 Midway through removing the LOCA 1000 first

Was quite sad honestly as my Note 8 was scratched that day. You see the middle portion, that part was the difficult part to remove off.

Can't see pic you posted.
By the way I use X-factor sticky-icky loca 1000.
In your video that's not the best way to apply loca 1000 or above. Check the images I posted. You'll see that it flows under the glass much faster and better, should take roughly 2 to 3 minutes (not 24 minutes). Also tape off the edges of the phone like you see in the pictures with masking or painter's tap because there will be some extras flow out the sides.
I personally don't know of any "hard cure" loca. But doesn't sound like something be used to install tempered glass.
So, is there any useful information in this thread, or just bickering?

I use a tempered oleophobic glass screen protector on my Galaxy Note 2. Just yesterday, it saved my phone from a 1 m drop onto a tile floor. There is now a hairline crack in the protector, but that's much better than having a hairline crack in the Note 2's screen itself. It would've been the screen if it weren't for the protector!
If I had used a plastic film protector, it would have bee a different story. Those flimsy films only protect from scratches, which this tempered glass protector does a much better job at anyway.
These protectors only cost around $10 on eBay, so it's a worthy investment to prevent spending $300 to replace the whole screen assembly.

Note: You don't have to buy from this link if you don't want to - it posts from China, so it may take a very long time for most people. Try searching for a tempered glass screen protector locally first.
How is it installing this particular protector? And what effect does it have in regards to the s-pen?

+100 for Tempered Glass!!! Have my VITREO on and wouldn't leave a home without. We all focus on getting good cases to protect our phone, and some end up adding $0.99 thin film screen protector from ebay. Even good stuff from Spigen with 3H hardness will only protect from scratches. Impact protection is only reliable with a tempered glass. Furthermore, tempered glass usually is super clear, no light effects, not interference with s-pen, and it feels super smooth like a real glass.
@vantt1, how is it sticking to the edges? One of the biggest problems with Note 2 is display curve toward edges. Spigen didn't even bother making their signature Glass.t stuff for Note 2. MIME got it right only from a 2nd try. Other brands had issues with glass not sticking to the edges. Sedio VITREO shrunk the glass to cover only visible part of the display and not even going all the way around home button, all that to avoid with curved part of the Note 2 screen edge. So curious with the one you got if it's sticking to the edges or not? Or perhaps it's a bit thinner and thus more flexible in comparison to VITREO, so edges do stick better?

Installation is relatively straightforward. Just make sure the screen you're applying it on is super clean and dust free, then peel the plastic film covering the silicone-based adhesive off and align the protector according to the location of the home button and the front camera. Don't worry if there's one or two specks of dust in between the protector, because it is near impossible to remove the dust again. Pushing it will make the silicone fill up pretty much all the remnant air bubbles caused by the dust, and will look nearly invisible anyway.
As to the S-Pen, it doesn't affect it at all. Hover and tapping works just fine, and because it is glass it doesn't scratch like the old matte ones I used to use.

This 2.5D is by no means flexible, but the protector is smaller than the Note 2's screen by about 1-2 mm around the edges. It sticks reasonably well to the curved edges, but it is visibly not making complete contact. The protector clings perfectly where the actual AMOLED panel is though, and that's good enough for me. Furthermore, as you said, the glass does make seamless contact with the display, so there is no air gap at all and no extra reflections.
It's very smooth and hydro/oleophobic too!
Now this is the kinda thread I like seeing... Much better than one I've seen called " Don't use a screen protector!" which I hope dies in the depths of this forum
My tempered protector is the best 6 bucks I've ever spent on phone accessories and it's the first accessory I'll buy for all my future phones. I stop worryimg about what else is in my pocket. And because it's glass it's easy to forget that you're even using a screen protector unlike with the flimsy plastic films.

Okay, you guys sold me on this. I just purchased one from the OP's link
I bought one again myself as a replacement for my currently cracked one.
Just ditched my several week old zaggs invisishield, which proved to be a sticky, bubbly pos which ripped after just a few weeks of sitting in the pocket of my khakis (with nothing else in the pocket).
Received and installed a Seidio Vitreo which I learned about in vectron's thread. The Vitreo is outstanding but I wonder what makes it so much more expensive ($30+)...hardness maybe?

...hardness maybe? No that's not why. I'd bet money it's no harder than the rest.
The only difference with Seidio is that it's not as wide and therefore it doesn't go as far to the edges. As you might have read in Vectron's review, if the screen protector goes too far to the edges the curved edges of the Note 2's screen will cause the protector to not stick as well.
The reason it's so much more expensive is because of the word Seidio printed on it's packaging and I guess a bit also for the fact that they solved a problem that no other protector solved at the time they released their product.
In my opinion Seidio products in general are overpriced, but hey we all live on different budgets
That being said I bought a $6 protector on eBay from a Chinese seller here and I couldn't be happier. I dont have the problem of it not sticking properly to the edges. It came in nice packaging with proper English instructions.
The edges are nicely tapered and the feel is great.
Plus the seller threw in an aluminium button sticker for free... I asked for one...haha

Yours looks better on the top edge... the Seidio has an asymmetric cut around the earpiece. I'll keep that one in mind for my next phone or if the Vitreo breaks.

I asked for one...haha

...hardness maybe?

Although the curved edge problem exists on my protector, I haven't noticed any reduction in contact within the last 6 moths that I have been using it. Sure, a little bit of dust does get caught under it, but it doesn't seem to affect the protectors amount of contact at all.

Yours looks better on the top edge... the Seidio has an asymmetric cut around the earpiece. I'll keep that one in mind for my next phone or if the Vitreo breaks.

My protector also has that extra bit of glass underneath the home button, which in my opinion goes well with my home button sticker.

Damn, should've checked here before I got one on Amazon for twice the price. By the way if anyone's looking for some reliable instructions on applying them here's a nice guide I wrote as a review earlier:
1. I don't know about you but I'm a bit anal with my phone so that whole just "line it up as best as you can and drop it" stuff isn't good enough for me. I'm going to introduce to you the hinge method which will allow you perfect alignment. Lay your screen protector over your screen exactly where you want it to be placed. Don't remove any of the plastic coating just yet, you just want to line it up. Then, tape the bottom part of the screen protector down with two pieces of tape effectively making a hinge. When you go to apply it you will simply remove the backing and the screen will lay down perfectly where it needs to be but we'll get to that in a bit there is still a little more prep required.
2. You are going to need to clean your screen so you don't have any particles under it to cause bubbles this is probably obvious but I would be remiss not to include it. This kit includes a microfiber which for most installations should be just fine however if you feel you need a little extra cleaning help you can also try a little bit of isopropyl alcohol.
2. Your enemy is dust so you want an environment that is less conducive to that. Let the shower run for a while until the steam builds up to ground the dust. Humid=Less dusty. If you haven't guessed by now you will be applying the screen protector in your bathroom.Set up a little station so you can have the phone/screen protector as close to eye level and and as visible as possible to spot any dust particles.
3. The moment of truth! Take another quick swipe with your microfiber cloth and check for any dust particles. You can now peel off the backing. There should be no guesswork here due to your hinge method so this part should be a piece of cake. Slowly lower it starting with the side closest to the screen and it should hinge close. Run your finger down the middle of the screen. You should see it adhere to the rest of the screen on it's own for the most part. Remove the front protective layer. Wrap the little card (or a credit card) with the microfiber and push out any remaining bubbles. You're done! If you did everything correctly not only will your screen protector be perfectly aligned but you will have no bubbles.
This tread should be a salesman good god. After reading through this thread I overed one from ebay right away.

0.4 mm thick.
We need to get this useful and honest information out there.
The best Full Adhesive screen protector for curved screen device is here all along.
The problem is the adhesive application.
Got to give this guy credit for showing the know how.
Use a cheap curved tempered glass for Note 8 and simply apply with Loca glue.
The exact Loca glue is listed in the video (tp-2500f).
And you can cure the glue just with natural UV light the Sun.
People should know and don't get ripped off just for Adhesive Glue
Thanks for sharing. Can the screen protector and adhesive be removed after being applied (without damaging the screen)?
Looks exactly like this product: http://www.mobilezap.com.au/64792-w...galaxy-note-8-full-cover-screen-protector.htm

So I just want to know that glue will damage the coating of screen, or not?

It was mentioned in the youtube video description, he took out the tempered glass that he used loca glue tp-2500f 10 days ago.
You can refer at 1:00 time point. I don’t see any damage there at 1:20 time point

As a starting point, try to get hold of the loca glue tp-2500f and patch test on a glass surface. They are fairly cheap.
You can decide from there whether you are comfortable with this loca glue.
found some good glue on amazon, also a good UV light.
but for now i don't know which glass i should use.
im looking for one without dot matrix if possible and also one with installation tray would be nice.
any tips?

I've read reviews on the process saying 2500 is pretty thick compared to the LOCA Whitestone supplies, and the reviewer stated they had to press down on the TGSP to get the adhesive to fully spread across the entire screen.
I bought the XFactor Sticky-Icky tp-1000f LOCA, and now waiting on the UV lamp to arrive to peel the NeoFlex off my N8. Could go with the sun curing like in that video, but don't wanna be that long with my phone during daytime hours

I have done 3 installation and two failed installation. The failed installation was my first WhiteStone attempt and the other was due to 2500 loca glue being too thick. The best installation I have done were the Octopus LOCA glue in Amazon. Whitestones viscocity is very watery and having a level surface is extremely important.

I'd considered the Octopus LOCA. Also read that the LOCA Whitestone uses is likely thinner thank the 1K I ordered. Hopefully the XFactor works out for me. If not, still have one NeoFlex left to hold me over till a different adhesive gets shipped to me

Interesting. I need to purchase more LOCA glue at this moment as I have 5 installations to do but don't know if I should go with my tried and trued 1400 Octopus or Xfactors. One thing I did enjoy about WhiteStones was that I felt it was clearer, but I believe thats the glass they are using and not the glue. I also see that Xfactors is much much cheaper for 30mL but dislike that it doesn't have a mL measure in the syringe. Keep me updated please!
Would love it if I can find a non 3d Matrix glass without the black bars.

As of right now I have three different tempered glass coming to me. I'll update everyone on which is the best. I've installed the amfilm(http://a.co/b54BrHg) in one and I personally did not like it. So I have Olixar(https://goo.gl/qtcGRx), Supcase( http://a.co/6c9DctI) and a OmyFilm(http://a.co/dJbQllZ) tempered glass on order.
These are the photos of the amFilm on the Note 8 plus my latest S8+ installation. Both used Octopus LOCA glue.

First is extremely difficult to get the speaker grill covered with tape. I had to put tape in the front speaker, cure the glue then hassle with tape to release since the tempered glass covers the speaker grill. Wasn't easy. Secondly my brother uses cases which are bulkier like the pictured Supcase. These type of cases tend not to hug the corners. If you look at my S8+, I like cases which hug the corner for better protection. Lastly I do not want anything such as LOCA glue nor tempered glass covering any of my sensors/camera.
How hard is it to remove the glass and loco glue? Just in case you need to replace the glass screen protector.
So far I needed to remove WhiteStone after it cracked. That was pretty easy, but as we've been discussing they probably use a lower viscosity than 1000mpa.s. The Octopus is 1400mpa.s and Xfactors is 1000mpa.s Worst case scenario you need to put a heat gun to the screen for 30 seconds to remove, but I highly doubt that's needed as the WhiteStone removal was easy.
Here is another to avoid. Installed perfectly but now clicks at the lower right and again, loss of sensitivity. I swear I'm going naked until the Whitestone arrives.

I guess we have a few categories of TGSP...
1. Standard adhesive at the edges with microdots - nobody seems to be a big fan of these.
2. Glass fitted with LOCA adhesive - only the Whitestone in the market at the moment.
3. Full adhesive TGSP - it's not clear whether any of these actually exist. I've got this on order from AliExpress, but I'm not holding out a massive amount of hope... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/201...32828528538.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.PyrjCM
4. DIY LOCA - This seems quite appealing, but the choice of glass is probably quite important. I've not seen any threads about this, so maybe I'll start one, but I'm guessing the best option would be one with adhesive that doesn't show up once it's glued with the LOCA (or maybe can be completely removed?), and no microdots.
Hello gyuz,
As mentioned in another thread in Accessories sub-forum, while Installing the Whitestone Dome Screen Protector (https://www.whitestonedome.com/) on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8, there was UV glue spillage all around the phone & now I have dried (UV cured) glue in the tiniest gap between the screen edges and the metal frame of the phone. Please check attached image, I have circled with red the exact location of the glue, however imagine this almost all around the phone:
Now I need a good UV glue remover to soften the dried glue and an extremely thin blade (or a similar tool) to reach in the gap and remove it. I saw some products on ebay, however I am not sure which will do the job.
First of all which Glue Remover is more suitable? Does it have to be a branded one? Or the unbranded ones will do the job as well? Is there danger that the remover will dry and stay in the gap making it worse? Will it damage the color or consistency of the metal frame? Will it damage the buttons (Power, Volum, Bixby)?
Secondly, which tool should do the job reaching such tiny gap while at the same time not scratching the screen or the metal frame? Metal Blade? Plastic Blade? Wire? Some other tool?
Please advise, as I am nearly desperate. Thank you!
Damn, I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. This is one of the biggest reasons why I don't use screen protectors on my phones. I've used a glass one on my Note 5 but didn't like it. Naked display feels the best and performs the best. Not fuss, no glue, no BS. Eeek!

Agree with everything. if i had the chance again I would leave it naked, however I would still feel very uncomfortable without protection.. Actual screen exposed to everything is a little risky!
OP, wish I could advise you, but all I can say is take your time and don't rush this task. Since as you aware, you don't want to use a chemical or item that will damage the frame or buttons. Don't use any metal objects.
Feel for you bro, you go ahead with good intentions to protect your device and now in a predicament.

Thanks for your understanding mate. Indeed tried for the best and ended up worse.
I am not rushing for now, just conctacted Whitestone themselves asking advise on how to fix it, as well as an ebay seller that sells such equipment/tools. He suggested me these:
http://ebay.eu/2g3RySr
http://ebay.eu/2kATYJV
I am not sure about the quality of the Glue Remover and how thin the tools (blades & spudger) are though. Have to make a little research.
That is why also I opened the thread to ask for opinions from people that may have done this or similar task before and to help others in the future.

I have dropped my phones at least 5 times in the last year and each time it landed screen side down. I broke all 5 glass protectors but never the screen. That is why I must have a full adhesive glass protector on. It is a PITA to get perfect but for me, it's worth it.

I understand, some people need it. I haven't chipped or broken a display since I had an iPhone. Knock wood. Naked is glorious, though.
Plastic tools and alcohol are your friends.
99% Isopropyl should be able to dissolve the glue, and shouldn't leave a mark on the phone (iso evaporates completely and is not dangerous to plastics or metals). A stiff bristled plastic brush would be ideal, maybe an old toothbrush. The thinner and stiffer the bristles, the better.
The iso will dissolve the glue, but you'll need to mechanically agitate it to remove it completely. Bear in mind that traces of iso having touched the glue will streak glass , so a second/third rinse with iso may be necessary.
I'd be careful about getting iso into the switches, as long term iso can degrade rubber (switch seals etc) but as long as you clean, then dry out effectively there shouldn't be an issue (iso will evaporate at room temp in any case). Covering the switches with tape could help, but iso is so thin it will probably go under the tape, and will likely dissolve the glue on the tape too!
e: Whatever you do don't use acetone or any other stronger solvent. Depending on the plastics used acetone will eat right through them, and may affect the finish on other parts too.
Iso really is a decent cleaning solution for most electronic devices.
e ii: Oh, and if you use an old toothbrush, make sure it's very clean. Getting some toothpaste grit on the screen and rubbing it in with a brush would be tragic. Maybe even buy a brand new brush just for this job? Not too expensive for the job, imho.

Packaging plastic is often thin and stiff... Cut it into a triangle and see if you can get "under" the glue in the gap.

HAHAH, SNAP! Same here, last phone I ever broke was my last iphone I owned , it was the iphone 4s. That was when I was drinking also,
Nekid, is always glorious, without a shadow of a doubt. But I am too shy and need coverage.
iPhone screens can be so brittle. I got used to changing screens for friends at work. During lunch they'd bring me their replacement display kits that they ordered from Ebay and I'd replace their broken screen for some Subway (as payment).

The glue stays soft. If you run the paper around it, it will come up. After about a half a cycle thru, I would cut the edge of the paper each time so that I can continue with a firm edge. I did this after a week of installation.

Guyz you won't believe it! For the past 2 hours I was doing exactly that! Actually what worked best was a piece of paper that had the dust removal stickers on it (got it from the Olixar Sentinel Case/Screen Protector kit), which is more firm than plain A4 paper. And I was cutting it all the time to keep its sharpness. At some point it finished and I used just plain A4 paper, which wasn't the same but it kinda worked as well..
I was running it inch by inch around the whole frame, taking out glue (indeed soft) little by little! I think it's much better now, though I think I will do another round in the near future.
well after watching videos.. I could see I never needed ALL of that small tube of glue. I always use some kind of screen protector. I like to sell or give away. And you can ALWAYS tell the used phones that never had a screen protector. Always some kind of scratches.. For me selling it mint.. gets more money.
So use some kind of plastic not metal blade to get the excess glue off. It comes off so easily

I had the same issue with mine and all I used is the film that you remove from the Glass protector before application.. cut off small squares and I ran that in the tiny gaps but making sure you don't go too deep.. Patience and time is must..
I do have a question though.. What is the best thing to use if I wanted to remove my protector off, clean the cured adhesive and use the 2nd bottle to reapply??
Someone finally did it, a Tempered glass inexpensive full back adhesive for the Note 8, not just the edges. I have to say first that I was VERY Skeptical of this tempered glasses claim to have full adhesive and stick to the phone properly. I am one of those people who has literally tried an insane amount of tempered glasses I think Amazon had to offer, finally settling on the Dome Glass but if /when it breaks you are shelling out another 45 bucks plus the install procedure can be a bit much for some.
But anyway this tempered glass went on so easy with the provided guard rail I truly couldn’t believe it. It laid down and adhered to the phone with a little help from the provided squeegee then I just pressed the edges down and voila!! The ENTIRE glass protector lays down edges and everything no bubbles. Went on just as easy as a tempered glass for a flat screen. This tempered glass is just what I have been looking for since I got my Note 8. Well done… SingularityProducts
Pros:
1. Very easy install with tools provided
2. True tempered glass
3. Fingerprints and smudges are minimal and wipe off easily
4. No dot matrix
5. Touch screen sensitivity stayed not hampered
6. Was $13.89 when I bought mine, but now I see it is $18.89 still better than $45, $34, etc the others with this claim cost
Cons:
1. I truly could not think of one con, very happy with this product I am buying another right now in case this one breaks
2. Price increase from $13.89 to $18.89

I think I got something similar to this. Php 1,300 so around $25.
It isnt full coverage (It cuts the screen and leaves the curve where it drops off exposed) and this first one I got had a flaw in the adhesive and has 3 permanent bubbles on the adhesive itself.
I had this replaced then on the second one was perfect. No bubbles. Although one speck of dust made it through. It isn't easy to install and requires a lot of patience and slow application to get the bubbles out.
Technique for the is to let it adhere on the top then slowly work it to the bottom. Starting with the center then working to the edges also works but takes more time. It may have also caused the permanent bubbles to the adhesive as the seller who sold me this forced to press the bubbles out instead of working it out to the edges.
Pictures of the box, kit, and on the Note 8 to follow in a bit.
With the effort for this and the non full coverage I might consider the Whitestone Dome because I am tired trying out different protectors.
I have tried TPU (issue is the s-pen leaves marks on the protector), various edge adhesive protectors (some fit well some don't but all have the dot matrix and eventually dust gets in and in my use case of using the phone while walking in the rain water gets in), and finally this full adhesive but NOT FULL COVERAGE ONE). So far this is the best I have tried BUT lint still gathers on the edges and is driving me bonkers with the cleaning it out...

Lint gathers on the side but at least the touch sensitivity is not affected. Also part of the screen is cut off and the edges are actually exposed.
Also it is weird that the manufacturer kept the black border even if this is full adhesive and again NOT FULL COVERAGE.
I think these are the same full adhesive protectors offered at AliExpress. Ordered one 3 weeks ago. Crap. Bubbles, cuts parts of display left, right, top, bottom. Inacceptable, full adhesive or not. Got it refunded and would not order it again.

If it doesn't cover the edges then that wouldn't work for me. I'm glad you like it, but for me, it's worthless if it doesn't cover the whole screen.

Uh I don't like it but it is good enough until I get a Whitestone Dome or other alternatives. I do not want to leave it bare and naked.

Gotcha. I'm using a wet apply screen protector for now. I like it other than the S-Pen leaves marks in it.

Is it TPU? Is the Spigen one good? or maybe the wraparound Ringke?
Also which S-Pen Tip are you using the grey or the black one?

Iit's the Armor suit Wet apply one it's not TPU, but is a soft screen protector.
I'm using the black tip. the white one was too hard and really dug into the screen protector.

Disclaimer I am not a photographer so sorry if the pictures aren't great I had to use an iPad to take them...as you can see Mine is not catching any lint, like the dome glass, wet install ones, and TPU. Also, as you can see in the pictures my box is different than the one posted in the above post. Not sure which brand theirs is.

Lint gathers on the side but at least the touch sensitivity is not affected. Also part of the screen is cut off and the edges are actually exposed.
Also it is weird that the manufacturer kept the black border even if this is full adhesive and again NOT FULL COVERAGE.

The one that I bought myself the box is different from yours and mine covers the screen fully, well more than this one.

Yes adhesive on the entire back of the screen
Tip, if you start screen protector from the top and work down using the squeegee provided then you can work out remaining bubbles with your fingers as long as you don't trap any dust under the screen should be bubble free

Did you use the plastic jig that came with it? Some of the TGSPs i've bought in the past for my S8+ came with a jig like that, but they always set the TGSP about a millimeter too low so it wound up cutting off part of the status bar. NEVER enough to matter, but was still annoying. How's the alignment with this one?

Yes I used to jig that came with it and IMO it is perfect it sits "right" below the selfie cam yeah I think I am set for screen protection for now may be I will re-review in a couple of weeks, see how it holds up.
Here are some more pics to show screen coverage. Again I am not a photographer lol I use the edge screen Sidebar a lot with no issues.
I've looked for the past 2 days now and I cannot for the life of me find a decently priced FULL ADHESIVE (tempered glass) screen protector. I ordered a "bubble free" and it looks like garbage, only the edges have adhesive so it's not fully on, it definitely was not tempered glass, and when it's off you can see the rainbow effect.
I'm just confused because the last phone I had was a Note 5 and it wasn't that hard to find a tempered glass screen protector, we didn't have "adhesive edges" back then so all you had to do was spray a bit of water and card out any bubbles. I just upgraded to a Note 8, is this really so hard to find?
I did check out Finally, Tempered glass inexpensive full back adhesive for the Note Post and they do not sell the same product anymore.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

There are some on Amazon(UK), but they're nigh on impossible to put on without creating bubbles.
Personally I prefer the end result from the ones that you don't like. Maybe I've been lucky but these are what I use on my Note 8, my daughter's Note 9 and my wife's S9. Never spent more than £2.50 on one.
What you realise with experience, is that these will crack sooner rather than later they're all the same bar a minor tweak, 3 - 4 months and you'll be replacing them anyway.
Save your money.
i use this and i am very happy..!
it is a uv glue tempered glass like whitestone but a lot cheaper. (i have used whitestone doom in the past and i put them in the same quality)

The one I ordered WAS from amazon, but it was complete garbage, imagine taking 15$ and just putting it straight into the trash can. Did you have any specific recommendation or..
I have spent well over $60 on screen protectors.. Given up.
So annoyed with the curved screens. May even change brand

Good luck finding anything that will come factory with "full adhesive" I have tried every type in the book short of the over priced white dome. I ended up finding a perfect solution (for me) though a 3D or 4D"d Temp glass protector as its advertised anyways... i think they're all pretty much the same at the point of "D" in the description but that being said they are only like 6 bucks a piece for a full cover option i opted for with out the whole top section cut out around the speakers and camera. They were only edged adhesive but the trick is to use the LOCA glue to adhere it to the phone... I am aware its for LCD screen repairs but if you get the 2500 viscosity its a lot thicker and it never fully cures even under a black light but it has the right amount of stickiness to stay on the phone seamlessly on my note 8 and have no popping or issues with input of the s pen, Its great! the corners dont lift even its on there good. Yes ive cracked and had to replace them before so i can vouch they are remove-able. I will add if they are on there a long time that around the bottom center where you usually touch the screen the most it can be a pain in the ass to get it separated.. Ive found that 91% rubbing alcohol and a fresh clean razor blade window scrapper lifts it off without scratching the screen. Hope this helps

Look for the one which comes with UV light and UV activated adhesive.
There is plain glass with back side laminated sheet which needs to be peeled off. A UV activated glue that is liquid and needs to go on the screen over which the glass is placed.
Then its all like spreading butter between toasts. You must apply little pressure so it spreads over entire screen then use the UV light to harden it.
Its the best i have found yet after nearly 10 screen protector. It need expertise and is not for the faint of heart. Good luck

I would have to say shy away from applying pressure as it pushes the glue out of areas causing an uneven layer of glue & possibly bubbles. If you put a 50 cent size globon one end of it and tip the phone towards the opposing end it will run down the phone and as your doing that you just let the screen protector drop onto the glue ever so slightly from one end to the other and just let it spread it will eventually spread every time if you use enough glue.... cover up your speakers with tape. Just my Insite an experience with using pressure and not using pressure. Otherwise good advice

Nice, i faced issue when i dropped glue and put on the screen guard. It never went till the corners, even after adding more glue in second attempt. So i pressed a little and it went all the way to the edges.
Maybe im dropping glue in centre. I will try your method of starting from corner next time. Thanks :good:

Do you use cases? Maybe you have alcantara and protective standing? Does this custom glued screen protector have any issues applying cases? Thanx
I don't like screen protectors but I saw prices for screen replacement in services - it's just crazy.

If you use certain cases yes they will have issues, actually at least half of the ones Ive tried have caused the protector to lift. Also the glue that i use is not made for screen protectors, its for LCD screens replacements. THat being said its just 2500 LOCA glue. You MUST buy the 2500 or higher cuz anything lower in viscosity will make it near impossible to remove when it comes time to change out the screen proector
