Hi everybody. Quick question. Are you getting a static crackling noise in the earpiece? I noticed it goes away when the phone is in airplane mode. The noise is very subtle, I noticed it when talking to someone... But it remains even in standby. Hope to hear your opinions. Thanks.
I was experiencing the same issue & it was driving me nuts! Not to mention I had this problem straight out the box.. what finally helped was turning out the voice response option in Bixby settings.. I figured maybe that voice response was picking up my voice while on a call thinking I was giving a command.. Turned it off & it was instantly better!

Hi
Often this problem is happening the other end. I've noticed this issue on several phones not just the Diamond.
The problem can often happen if you are calling another mobile and they have their volume up loud. The Diamond seems to send quite a loud clear sound as I've had a few friends on mobiles say they were "turning me down" volume wise
Where the person you are calling has a mobile with the volume up loud, your voice arrives at their mobile, it is then sent out very loudly to their earpiece, and their phones own microphone picks it and transmits it back to you, so you hear an echo of your own voice. If others you are calling complain they hear their own voice echo, then turn your own volume down.
Some people have their mobiles so loud you can hear the other side of a conversation, and they are probably making themselves deaf in the process.
Try asking the person you call next time to turn down their earpiece volume, or you talk quieter and see if it stops.

or is it the network problem?

I doubt it is. It is all digital where would an echo get introduced?
The echo's I've heard are all produced by the person I'm calling with my voice so loud it is being picked up by their microphone and sent back to me with a delay added by the network and they just need to turn their volume down to resolve it. Tiny small phones and really load ear pieces are the cause as far as I've found.

Hi. Wondered if anyone had been having these issues with their phone? When dialling out the phone very often just emits a loud beep and cuts off the call before even dialling. Then after trying a few times it actually rings out but after making a short horrible screeching noise? Anyone help please?
Hello from, Norway!
I got this beautifull phone yeasterday,. Perfect screen and camera but it has 1 problem. When I call with 3g on. I hear static sounds when people talk to me. When they stop the static is gone. And when I turn of 3g the call quality is perfect. Is this normal?

Hey there,
recently (proabably after 5.1) I've had the problem that Assist reads my text messages and calls out loud, when the phone is in silent mode. I've checked all the settings but I have no idea what might be causing this, since it doesn't say it thinks I'm driving or at home. This is particularly annoying in situations where it is supposed to be quiet and I can't rely on it to stay that way, especially if I'm working with my headphones plugged in somewhere else and don't realize everyone can hear my texts being read out loud.
Any suggestions on what might be causing this? Is this a known issue?
I'd be really thankful for someone's help here.
Hi guys,
Does anybody know if there is a way to turn off the active noise cancellation feature that takes place during calls? Is there some sort of technical menu I can access where I can find the switch to toggle it off? There are so many instances where people cannot hear my voice clearly because of this aggressive feature that makes me sound like a robot drowning.
Thank you,
I get the robot voice sometimes from the other caller side. The only thing I can see is the volte calling feature. I have turned it off to see if it makes a difference. I used to get the same problem when using some voip apps so it makes sense that this could solve the robot voice problem.
Cheers!
