Different stock ROMs possible? - Windows Phone 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an unlocked 925 but its default or stock ROM is in French because I bought it in France. I want to sell it but I'd like it to be in a default North American ROM. How do I find out what is available and how to do the flashing?
Thank you!

Look for roms...

Hi, I'm searching for Italian roms for my Italian Treo 750 (H3G)...
If its possible I'll install Vodafone roms, or unbranded roms (WM6!) but I find only broken links...
Another question: how do I can backup my actual firmware?? Because, in case of problems, I want to have the chance to restore my actual WM5 H3G rom...
Thanks in advance!
There aren't italian roms???
try this link:

At the moment I have the ROW version but I can't upload now.

German rom for Telstra Vivid/Velocity?

Hi,
i got myself a HTC Velocity in Australia. It is still running on the Stock Gingerbread. From what i found out yet, there is no ICS rom with German language included.
I'm wondering what about the Custom Roms based on Gingerbread like HoliRaider...?
Are they for universal use (Telstra, At&T, European, Asian Version)?
And are there different languages included?

Click to collapse
The Dev would have to include the extra languages into the rom. And as far as i can tell i dont see any either. The Dev will usualy specifiy but it doesnt hurt to do backups and try to flash it. Trial and error.
My ROM has a ton of languages, including those that no other ROM has, you can try it.
It's based on Telstra 3.5 ROM.
Most all of the custom ROMs not using ATT source on Gingerbread have a plethora of languages offered.

[Q] Which LG G Flex version supports japanese ?

Hi,
I'm considering to buy the LG G Flex, but I can not find information anywhere about the supported languages (on stock ROMs).
Basically I need to have Japanese language support (on stock ROM) and I also need this phone to work both in Japan and in Europe (UK and France especially).
GSMArena says that the D955 version is for Europe and the D958 is for Asia (with more bands supported on the D955), but it doesn't list the supported languages.
Then in Japan, AU sells the yet again different L23 version. Could that be the only version supporting Japanese (if so, will that version work in the UK, on a which carriers ?).
Anyway, if anyone owns a D955 or D958, could you please go to the language list and let me know if Japanese is listed ?
(It might be written in Japanese: 日本語)
Thank you !

Buying the phone

Hello all,
I am planning to purchase this phone in australia, and am wondering a couple of things:
1. Is there anything actually wrong with the chinese rom, and can I use everything just like on the international rom
2. Does anyone have any experience with purchasing from eglobal, as that is where I am buying it from (I am in Australia)
3. Can I set the chinese roms default language to English
4. Is there a way to hide the bloatware that comes on the device
5. Is there the potential to brick my device by flashing the rom to the international version
Thanks, all help is appriciated
There are some sellers here in the UK that flash an English ROM including Play Store before shipping. I don't know if that's possible in Australia from your chosen seller.
The problem with setting things to English (rather than flashing English ROM) is that some stuff will inevitably still show in Chinese.
