Hi, since some time after upgrade to stock 7.0 my mobile data stopped to work.
The APN is set up properly
H+ is there, next to the phone range bar, though can't access internet.
It works with WiFi
Device is unlocked, and was working before.
I did downgrade to 6.0 marshmallow, but same issue.
Ps. Hello everyone, as it's my first post on XDA since 7 years (new account as well).
I had to turn off device and insert another sim card inside then put back original sim card for it to work . Same thing happened to me also. For one moment I thought perhaps T Mobile was blocking my SM-T819Y tabs2 from their network. But all good now.

I put in CM 9 in my old tab 7 and loved the performance so much i wanted to start using it again.
Was using it wifi only.
Got a month of prepaid data from AT&T.
No problem with connection to network but there is no data connection.
Has anybody seen something like this when trying to re-establish service with carrier? or just with the symptom of solid connection to network with no data connection.
I thought it would be modem file so I will try some others, but I should have the right one in the build.
I will be getting a new SIM in case it an AT&T issue (ugh), but I need time to drop by store (ugh).
Did a complete reset. Clean install and the APN are right.
Mobile Network apps (Kabits) shows cell connected nornally, just no data.
Any thoughts??

Hello.
Having problems with my I8190N. About 2-3 days a go it suddenly lost ability to connect into internet. I can switch data connection on or off, it doesnt make any difference. I have tried to reflash various ROMs and it's all the same, no internet. I get the usual signal bars but no H/G/E marks.
It did not happen after flashing, had CM11 on it for days and I could connect Internet just fine. No carrier limitations either, I can make calls out and same SIM in my old phone can go to internet.
Should I flash the stock ROM/bootloader back and RMA it? Or is there something else I can do? (perhaps known issue and solvable on my own)
Phone is fairly new, bought it in August as brand new.
i suppose APN settings are correct?
you can try to flash another baseband to try with it, what is yours current baseband?
basebands you can find here for N version, XXAMJ ist newest and working for me...
I had the same problem a couple of days ago. It turns out that my problem was the simcard, have you tried to put another simcard in your phone and see if it works?
I have this problem, same with two phones and two SIM cards, both phones are ZTE, both problem SIM cards are on Vodafone, both phones have no problem connecting to data via t mobile sim? This leads me to believe that voda data does not work on zte phones, apn details are correct. Does anyone knowa fix?
finally sorted it........... f'd around with a few different apn's and even phoned up talktalk(same as vodafone network) who confirmed I had the right settings which I hadnt!
Found the correct settings on the geeksquad website. seems i didnt need to bother filling out some of the fields and then wham internet connection straight away!

For the last weeks.. I have been trying to get this phone working with T-Mobile..I had unlock the sim card and now running badboyz 4.3 rom. 1.3
After unlocking the sim card and setting up the apn, selected T-Mobile from the available networks and it will connect. But when I go to work, I will lose signal every few block, and need to search for available network again and wait to select t mobile again.
I had try to use the t mobile sim card on my old phone and everything will works fine with no signal lost.
Can anyone please HELP!... I been searching and looking for an answer for more than 2 weeks..but no resolve.....

How did you get the SIM unlocked in the first place?

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem ? (different rom or radio...etc..) Or I have to give up the phone... Cause it is too much headache to "searching for network" all the time and miss all the call with no service on the phone without knowing..

well, I am not an expert on the tmobiles network, but going by what lazybozz, said, I seem to remember tmobile using different bands than the other carriers, so what you may be experiencing, is the phone being in the vicinity of multiple towers, but not all of them are within the band that the phone supports. So its like the phone doesnt even see those towers. On a side note, this issue caused alot of chaos for those who unlocked iphones about 3 years ago, they could use EDGE on tmobiles network but not 3G, so i assume this is a similar situation. So long story short, yeah you probably cant fix the problem, unless you get a quad band phone. I could be wrong, but it does sound like a logical reason for the issue you are having.
as elvisypi said above, Its the freq that T-mobile operates on in that area. If your getting T-mobile at all in the states then you have already flashed a radio. However flashing any other radio is not going to give you the freq that tmobile uses, Its not a software limitation its a physical hardware limitation.
Thanks for your reply, do you know any app out there that monitor and alarm you when the network or signal is lost ? That works with 4.3 ?That way at least you know the phone is offline ... some of the apps I tried is anything at all ...

Have you tried an app like tasker? Its essentially an automation app. It isnt jist for your use. Its for many different functions. Jist look on the app store for tasker. That might help

Hello Guys,
I hope somebody can help me to find out whats happening with my phone. A few days ago I bought an ascend P7 (unlocked) and I put in a T-Mobile sim, then I realized the mobile data is not working as expected. I use to have LTE connectivity and 4G with my previous phone and now with the Ascend it always show H+ or 3G but even though every time I tried to use the internet I got an error regarding a bad connection. And is the same for any app (facebook, browser, g maps) even when I try to send a message using Line some times it fails.
So, I want to know if it is a known issue with this brand-model or if it could be something with my phone itself?
These are the specification on the phone:
Huawei Ascend P7-L10
UI Version 2.3
Android Version 4.4.2
APN: fast.t-mobile.com (it was detected automatically when I inserted the SIM card)
I tried changing the APN for a different one fouin using google but it was the same. In general I really like this phone so I hope someone can help me with it.

My brother has serious issues with his G4. He bought the phone two month ago from T Mobile store. and everything was working fine (the phone is unlocked). However, he traveled to Poland on Sunday and since he put Orange sim the phone went crazy. First of all, the battery is draining like hell because "cell standby" is on high percentages (was 72% on last screenshot he sent me). Secondly, he is getting text messages in Polish every 2-3 minutes saying that "the service is no longer available, thank you for your message" (that's the translation to English). besides that, the mobile data keeps turning off bu itself and the charging takes a long time than usual.
I went to T-Mobile and according to them, because it's a T mobile phone, it keeps searching for T mobile networks, that why it's draining the battery. They told me that a reset might help. It doesn't sound reasonable to me that a new phone that cost more than 600$ will have this issues. I have a feeling that all the T mobile crap apps that came with the phone are causing these problems. is there a way to disable some of them without a root?
Any help will be welcomed!
My first guess would be a bad SIM card according to the description you provided. Has he checked to see if T-Mobile variant cell frquencies match with Poland's Orange's? Perhaps it is looking for the LTE bands that doesn't exist on Poland. Or that SIM card is keep telling T-Mobile phone to look for the LTE band that isn't compatible with the device.
He could try to set to 4G only or Some other settings.
If all fails I would try to take back the SIM card and replace with the new one.

Also checking APN settings could help and making sure the right once are selected under mobile networks.
