Hi,
I am in Poland and using HGO Go application on my Nexus 7.
The problem is HBO Go is not finding my Chromecast - message says 'No Device' and wile playing the movie cast button is not active.
At the same time other applications are working with chromecast.
Does anyone have a clue what might be the problem?
Thanks,
Piotr
So,
our house currently has 4 chromecasts. if i am not the one casting, i cannot tell what they are actually doing.
is there any method currently to see whats being cast to the screen without being there (URL/mirroring)
thanks for any ideas!
There's an app called RemoteCast that tries to connect to an active Chromecast and take over control. It can sometimes show you a text title for what's running on the Chromecast. But the app hasn't been updated for a long time, and it doesn't work with many Chromecast apps now.
Hello guys,
i've been a sony user for years now and recently decided to join the Huawei community. So some days back i got myself a pretty P10 (L29).
I noticed that in the quick drawer menu (pull down from homescreen), there is no cast button. I usually do that to connect wireless to my soundbar which supports google cast.
Now, i know the phone supports cast and even audio casting, coz it works through an app called screen mirroring in app store. The app does exactly the same thing as the cast option in the quick drawer.
Now, is there a way to get the cast button in the quick menu?
Cheers
Would like to know as well

Found it though I don't believe it supports Chrome Cast.
I have 2 Chrome keys in the house and it can't see them.
Actually the mirrorshare feature on huawei supports miracast technology which is different from google cast.
I know the phone supports google cast, only the quick option is missing in the app drawer..Maybe in EMUI 8 it will be present

Fingers crossed
Download the Google Home app for chromecast in the Playstore.
Has anyone checked on the Google Home Hub if you can cast your entire screen onto it using the cast icon in the pull down menu on say a pixel phone or some other Android type phone?
no you cannot it work with apps like youtube, movies and other apps that support casting but for some reason casting the entire screen does not seem to work currently
Similar to if you try casting Netflix to the Hub. It does it for about a second, then it seems to remember "that's something I'm supposed to tell the user I can't do," so it stops and says (best HAL9000 voice) "I'm sorry Dave. I don't know how to do that yet."
So CAN it do this (is it technically capable)? Yes. WILL it do it? No.
Just bought a redmi note 10 pro and updated the OS to 12.5.2. The issue I have is that whatever media app I use (spotify, xiaomi music, podcast addict..), there is no media player notification, I have to enter into the app each time I want to play/pause.
All the settings seem to be OK:
- at OS level the setting for each app has the "Player" notification ON
- at app level, the notification settings allow for player notifications
All other notifications for these same apps do work (for example, new podcasts downloaded).
I could not find other people posting about this issue, I am the only one? any idea on how to solve it?

I had the same problem. I had lock screen notifications to Don't show at all. Changing lock screen notification to show but hide contents or show notifications on lock screen solved the issue and the controls started showing up in the notifications. Maybe you have the same problem.
same problem here, any solution?
Same issue for Redmi 9 Pro on 12.5.1. This can be partially worked around by enabling lock screen notifications. There'd still be no icon in the status bar, but at least the controls would appear.
I've seem someone claim this is fixed in 12.6.
Hey friends, how are you? Try this to see how it solves you
turn off "do not show notifications at lock screen", select any of the other two options and it'll work fine

You can try this method
App info > other permissions > allow app to show permanent notification. This fixes the issue in my case.
