2 issues - v88.1 for ARM64 nougat - Xposed General

First, I'd like to say thank you to rovo89 for your hard work on getting the framework to work with nougat, I've really missed it!!
I have an S7E g935fd running superman rom v2.6. The framework flashed smoothly and the installer seems to work at first glance but I have to major bugs that renders it unusable at the moment as follows:
1. When I search for a module in "download" I click version and then download... It begins to download and when it's done downloading it never gives me an option to install and only allows me to download again. I checked my device for the downloaded file using root explorer and cannot find it. I need to download a module from the web in order to install... Which then leads to the next issue.
2. After I have installed a module, I cannot activate it with the following message: "this module cannot be loaded because it's installed on the sd card, please move it to internal storage."
I will say that I have my sd card set up as adoptable storage. However, when I check where it's installed using app info in root essentials, it says all of the files are internal storage and none sd.
Any ideas?

Same
Same, it needs a download function that directs it to internal storage. Some apps make it, some don't. I download to the sdcard then transfer it to internal storage, but the installer says it's still on sdcard.

[Q] Installing the Framework

I have the Samsung SGH-I537 running off with a Official Rom of 4.3. The device is properly rooted, and I was able to install the framework directly to the "/System". But everytime I restart it, it seems as if it does not catch that part, and the framework will not activate. I would have to keep restarting the phone until it does catch it. And yet sometimes, some of the modules I have installed won't work ether. Yes, they are activated in the main settings.
I tried installing the xposed framework by flashing it, I tried the second option of automatically flashing it, and that did not seem to work. Then, I tried manually flashing it with my TWRP recovery, but I could not find the .zip it told me it had downloaded onto my SD Card. Is there a place I can download the framework and put it onto my phone manually then flash it?
Note: I do not have a External SD Card.
The installer should tell you where the flashable zip was saved. Read the output.

Lenovo A806 can't install xposed.

I having this issue "Ayulin OS". After installed framework, hang at boot up screen and need to restore back the OS. Any solution for this issue?
See this post in the pinned FAQ thread. Nothing can be done unfortunately.

Problem Solved
ROOT and third party recovery required.
1) Copy LenovoVIBE_Xposed_path.zip to SD card.
2) Open system/build.prop then edit by File manager apk
3) Enter the following code at the bottom
#Close JIT By Tekin
dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:fast
4) reboot into recovery mode, install LenovoVIBE_Xposed_path.zip from SD card.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I've just bought a second-hand A806, mainly just to play about with, and I was able to install Xposed Framework by following the above instructions. Everything is working perfectly.

Android Version 4.4.4 Upgrade Issue

Hi,
I upgraded my Android to version 4.4.4 via the updater following these steps (from what I can recall).
1) I downloaded the latest Release version & the latest Gapps files locally to the tablet & went to recovery.
2) I took a backup, wiped Dalvik cache & apply update from sdcard.
3) I ran the Android release build zip file but forgot to run the Gapps zip file.
4) Android upgraded to version 4.4.4 but when I log in I get prompted that 'Unfortunately Google Play Store has stopped' . As I forgot to run the Gapps zip file that is to be expected.
When I boot into recovery it can only see the following directories & not the update folder where the Gapps file was downloaded.
Android
DCIM
LOST.DIR
appdata
clockworkmd
downloads
ringtones
wallpapers
The recovery doesn't seem to be able to see the sdcard & only the internal storage.
However if I copy the Gapps zip file to any of the folders above, boot to recovery again it won't see the zip file.
I also seem to have wiped my backup trying to recovery the situation so can't roll back.
Within the recovery menu I've tried to mount/unmounts the below but it still can't see any of the folders.
Mount /boot
Unmount /cache
Mount /data
Mount /system
unmounts /sdcard
The above is my current settings but I've tried mounting them all.
To complicate the matter further the USB port on the tablet is broken so I can't connect it to my computer.
Previously to transfer files I used a ftp client on my laptop & Wifi File Transfer Pro on the tablet.
I don't know whether to finally give up on my touchpad so any help/advice is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Chip

Access to the sdcard has to be enabled by the developer. You must have installed one that doesn't (since you didn't specify which it was)

Here is the build info currently on the tablet.
Kernel Version:
3.4.82-tenderloin
Mod Version:
ev_ternderloin=testing-2015.01.22
Build number:
ev_tenerloin-eng 4.4.4 KTU84Q eng.flintman.20150122.215911 test-keys
If this build doesn't recognise the sdcard, should it not recognise the Gapps zip file on the internal storage?
There is 1.4GB in total on the internal storage with 388MB free.
Do you know if there is anyway I could get a build of Android & Gapps on the tablet & upgrade to that?
Thanks for responding to the thread.

I doubt you've used the latest and proper way to install 4.4/5.0 ROM's. Go here. Start over and follow the instructions to the letter. Read everything first and decide how you want to proceed before doing anything.

Problems after SuperSU update, phone Samsung Galaxy S7

Hello,
I have had problems after SuperSU update came to my Samsung Galaxy S7 (international version SM-G930F). My phone was rooted and everything worked fine. Then I got a notification that SuperSU needs to be updated. On my previous phones SuperSU updates have succeeded every time so I presumed updating works without a hassle also with S7.
I accepted to update SuperSU and after a while I got a notification that the update was succesful and I was suggested to reboot the phone so I accepted it and after that the problems started.
After reboot I got an error:"Device memory error: the data partition has been corrupted. You need to reset your device to factory defaults. This will erase all your data". I rebooted several times and also pressed Volume down + Home button + Power button (same as removing the battery as there is no possibility to remove the internal battery of S7) but those actions did not help, always same error after the phone started.
I had backups of my files so I made the factory reset as there was no other option on phone screen than "Reset" (after selecting Reset I had to select factory reset in recovery menu).
After that phone started normally but there has occured three problems:
1. When I want to move an application from phone internal storage to my microSDXC card I go to "Applications" -> "Application Manager" and select an application and go to Storage. After that below "Storage used" I select "Change" and select my external microSDXC card as a new storage location and I get an error:"Not enough storage space" although there is a lot of space in both microSDXC card and also internal memory (someone told this can also refer to internal storage). I have tried this with several applications but always the same error. I have not accepted to use Adaptive Storage (and I think that is disabled in S7).
Before SuperSU update+factory reset I was able to normallly move my applications from internal storage to the external storage (and also from external storage back to internal storage).
2. When I connect my phone S7 to the computer (I have tested with several computers) and I have my microSDXC card in my phone, computer only shows internal storage of my phone, not my microSDCX card. I reformatted microSDXC card (tried both FAT32 and exFAT) but that did not help. I also tried with other memory card that worked fine with other phone (when the other phone is connected to the computer with USB cable both internal and external storage are seen) but same card in S7 did not show in Windows. Reinstalling Samsung S7 USB drivers doesn't help.
3. I cannot root my phone anymore, Odin detects my phone (shows added) but when selecting the required file to AP and clicking Start it goes to Failed status. I downloaded SuperSU and it tells my phone is not rooted.
Any suggestions what to do?
Phone information:
Phone model: Samsung Galaxy S7 international (SM-G930F)
Android version: 6.0.1
Baseband version: G930FXXU1APEQ
Kernel version: 3.18.14-8206888 [email protected] #1

Build number: MMB29K.G930FXXS1APG3

I wish I could help...in the S7 you have to update SuperSu in TWRP because in SuperSu app it doesn't works. If nothing helps you can install rom again in Odin and start all over or use Superman rom. I have an S7 and I use Superman rom this rom is really amazing it have many options in aroma where you can choose which root (SuperSu 2,68 or SuperSu 2,78 or Phh root for Magisk) and systemless Xposed (86,2 or 86,5 with Magisk) and which kernel (stock kernel, SuperStock kernel, Superman kernel). SuperStock kernel is the best it's stock kernel but with updated Linux and SELinux set to permissive.
I use this rom with systemless Xposed 86,5 (with Magisk) and Phh superuser so AP and Pokémon Go is working. You can also choose which apps to remove and it has an app Superman control where you can change lots of things. The dev is really helpful so maybe give it a go.

It is very doubtful SuperSU caused your /data failure. These issues *might* indicate your flash is corrupt.
If anything, I would start with a complete re-flash of the stock firmware for your device, and see if your storage issues persist.
As for your ODIN issue, try using a different version of ODIN, different USB ports, even a different computer.

Thanks so much for directing me to the Superman rom. I wasted hours on Sunday trying to get a systemless root etc. and this worked in 30 minutes. Can confirm every is correct and you can play Pokémon Go just like before the update on a rooted phone.
many thanks

[MM 6.0] Modules don't work even tho the installation was successful

Hi all!
So I recently bought a Cubot Max but cant get any Xposed Modules to work!
Specs:
Cubot Max
Android 6.0
FW v11
arm64
I got the zip and apk off the official thread and used the latest sdk23 arm64 version obviously.
I mainly need the modules "Youtube Adawy" and "Youtube background playback".
But for the sake of testing if the issue is a result of incompatibility I also installed the modules
"PinNotif" and "SlideBack".
None of them worked.
The UI of "SlideBack" seemd to work properly while the UI of Youtube Adaway said that the app was not actived, even tho i tried it several times.
The log file read "cannot read log/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/log/error.log: open failed: ENOENT" so i created the missing txt file and gave it - rw rw permissions.
Does anyone has a clue what causes this problem?

Exactly I am also facing the same problem.
Same here
Can we have a thread to get the Cubot Max working with Xposed? A 500+ page general thread is difficult to follow. Thanks!
Success!
I did it! This is what I did.
The problem is that there is a firmware error which affects a number of MTK6735 phones and stops Xposed from working. You have to install another module called grorkmod first, but this will not work if you have previously tried to install Xposed. So what I did was set the phone back to its initial state (after backing up data etc.).
1. Download the Custom TWRP and the Cubot Max official ROM from here:
mod edit: link removed
2. Unrar the official ROM, and, using SP Flash Tool, set to "Format and Download", Flash the ROM in full. You will now have an unrooted, untouched factory-set phone.
3. When I did this, the Firmware version (Build Number) was V04 — check this through your system settings as my phone originally arrived with Build Number V09. So, after unzipping the TWRP download, I had to use the older version of the Scatter file. So use SP Flash Tool again, and Flash TWRP and reboot the phone, you will have an unrooted phone but with TWRP installed. Do the usual stuff with becoming a developer and changing the necessary permissions.
4. Now you can transfer files to your phone's memory.
UPDATE-SuperSU-xxx,zip
grorkmod_v1.1+lite.zip
xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip
XposedInstaller_3.1.1.apk
5. Boot to Recovery, and, from TWRP:
(a) Install UPDATE-SuperSU-xxx.zip but do not reboot.
(b) Clear Dalvik cache etc
(c) Install grorkmod do not reboot.
(d) Install xposed — this time reboot.
6. Run your file manager and attempt to install the .apk file. If you are diverted to give permission for this, change the settings and do it again.
Hope this helps.
