Hi all,
talking with a gentle XDA member (my friend @Oveana) I've discovered the existence of the M-ROM for our beautiful smartphone Xperia Z3 Plus.
Oveana tell me that v.1.9 of this ROM is stable, good and with all the advantage of customization (Dark UI) of a stock based ROM (limited, but good for what I want).
V.1.9 he says, it's good as daily driver....but, M-ROM it's difficult to download, because the developer is Chinese and uploads on baidu.
(quote) "It's a little bit tricky and even annoying to download from baidu"
So, I want to ask if someone can post here (asking the permission to Dev) open a thread for this ROM, even for single SIM version of Z3 Plus.
Searching on forum, seems that there are thread about this ROM for other version (dual sim) of z3 plus.
Can someone open a thread or post here, M-ROM v.1.9 files? (zip, instructions, kernel and so on..) :fingers-crossed:
I hope that it's possibile create a thread, share opinions and experiences, tips and so on...At this time I'm on stock ROM, locked bootloader and I have no problems. But I'm really interested on a ROM that is based on stock ROM with root, recovery and superUser MOD / Xposed pre-installed.
In this way, user can have stability and full functionality of stock ROM, but can have a DARK UI, install some MOD (compatible with stock kernel) and similar.
Before of this phone, I had Z1 Compact and there was a ROM with this features. I hope can have same on Z3 Plus...
Thanks in advance to everybody can help me and other users intersted to this ROM. :good:

In simple terms stock based roms will use the Sony skin and many of Sony's apps - typically the developer will have tweaked the build to improve performance or used the most recent version of Sony apps from higher end devices (the Z1 for example). They may also add some extra features - (using the volume buttons to skip music tracks/advanced reboot menu).
Custom Roms won't have any of the Sony features and generally will be closer to unskinned AOSP (Android Open Source Project) in appearance. They will mostly have some unquie features and be more options for customisation than a stock based ROM. Developers can also release higher versions of Android than Sony, allowing the user to experience Kit Kat long before Sony release a build. They tend to perform better than stock builds because they are less bloated. Sony has significant facebook integration within it's builds for example, similarly whilst it's possible to ignore it, there is a lot of secondary marketing within a Sony build trying to get you to use their music/video/games services. Most of these apps are heavy, slowing down the device. The SP copes fine, but their are definitely smoother custom roms out there.
Ok thanks !

Hi
I am looking for a ROM with the following qualities:
- Android 4.4
- SEMC UI
- for locked bootloader
- stable for everyday use
- good battery life
Is there any such ROM? Most 4.4 ROMs I can see here seem to be lacking the SEMC UI.
Regards,
Mike
By SEMC you mean stock sony kitkat ui? If so, give it a try to xperianze and repexpersis, you can find them in the development section.
No such ROM.

Hello.
- Ok
- No. You'll need to apply a theme on your own. However you'll require a theming engine. This engine was built in Cyanogenmod ROMs so most derivatives will have it as well.
- Ok
- Custom ROMs are deemed to be stable, but will never be perfectly stable. Nothing is actually stable in my perspective
- Simply no. Battery usage is very different compared to stock ROM. SURPRISE! Because it is not a stock ROM.
So for your queries, no there aren't any ROMs that matches your request, sorry.
However if you still want suggestions, I suggest Paranoid Android by NexusPrime or CM11 by bagyusz or CM11 weeklies by MrSteve555.
Thank you for the replies! Then I will stay at 4.3 (Master ROM V5), perhaps one day there will be a suitable KitKat ROM.
Hello there folks! I just got a Z1 and I'm looking for ROM recommendations... If possible a ROM with camera2 support... As the device is both old and popular, there is a lot of ROMs, and I tried some, but the newer ones seems to have some buggy camera support.
Any help, info, tip or info is greatly appreciated!
use slim rom 5.1.1 or cm 12.1 both uses 20 mp of the device
but to get best results stock rom wins
for using camera use stock rom or dstrikerz1 kai

i am searching for roms for my sony xperia z c6602 are there any ?
If your device bootloader is unlocked or allowed to unlock, then any rom in this forum are available for you.
You can try lineageOS for the most smooth use experience and best battery usage. You can also try Resurrection Remix or XenoHD if you like more features and more customize, which are both made from Lineage.
Ive tried them all.
Hello, could you tell me what - if you're currently on Lineage - customization are you using? Launcher, icon packs, whatever (as the customization is limited by non-existing Xposed for Nougat). I came to Lineage from Ressurection Remix (aiming for longer battery life which many users are claiming) and as I had lots of troubles transfering to LOS (wrong ADB drivers, losing TWRP,...) I really want to squeeze as much as possible out of this ROM as I got it to a working state. Thank you
I have a few questions to the various custom rom users for this phone.
Right now I am using stock rooted rom. The features I need most are the stock camera app which I really like, as well as the various slow motion options (regular slomo+ super slomo).
The one feature I want most that does not work on rooted stock is screen mirroring (which starts and then fails due to HDCP issues caused by loss of DRM on bl unlock).
So, my questions are:
Do any of the custom roms include both of these options? (Tested by users. For example screen mirroring option exists in stock and existenz, but I don't know if it works. If any existenz users can confirm this to be working, that is enough for me)
I don't want to flash a rom just to test, because I'm afraid that I might not be able to set up the working camera on stock again. (In case the needed features don't work as required)
If not,
Can I flash sony camera on a custom rom? I remember seeing a magisk or xposed module for sony framework, but I can't find it now and I don't know if that is updated to current framework and apps or not.
If flashable, will the stock camera features work?
To be honest, if I could relock the bl and just use the vanilla stock I would do that, but... not an option on Sony unfortunately.
Thanks all
p.s- Is there a whatsapp group for this phone?
currently stock is the best for camera and screen mirroring won't work with existenz since it is a stock rom patch to give you more customization you can join sodp and existenz group on telegram links should be in this forum

Just curious - why does a stock rom patch make mirroring not work?

Custom ROM camera quality will raise each month.
In certain conditions we already have a better quality.
