Which CSC are you on?
What country did you get it from?
Is OEM Unlock available in developer options?
Do you happen to have the box that has the region lock message sticker on it?

Did you see OEM Unlock at all in Developer Options after the phone has been on for 7 days?

I am from Mexico, 950F, I bought my note 8 without any contract, but branded to Telcel, the biggest carrier, it comes unlocked and has the OEM UNLOCK option working

Mine is 950F, without contract, branded to AT&T; NO OEM UNLOCK option.
Mexico BTW.

When I was about to buy my note 8, I went to att looking for color options, and they told me that all their phones are locked, when you pay the full price, you have to ask them to unlock it, TELCEL Sells the phones unlocked in the no-contract mode

Yeah You are right, mine came locked to AT&T and had to call for the code to unlock it. (Very fast anyway)

Rooted, remove Device Unlock App possible?

Hi,
I just bought from Ebay an H872 TMobile LG G6 and found out it's BAD IMEI and can't do SIM UNLOCK or cost too much with Device Unlock APP.
One question, any chance to remove the preinstalled Device Unlock App from phone and revoke the SIM UNLOCK CODE instead?
If it is truly a bad IMEI that will not help. Every carrier will check the IMEI when you try and put it on their network and reject it.
It's doable, just check your phone's IMEI on t-mobile servers here: https://www.t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx
Also to be sure, check your IMEI also here: http://imeipro.info
I've got a locked H872. I contacted Tmo about unlocking it, and they said that I had to have the original owner contact them to have it unlocked, but they will unlock it. I bought the phone from a guy that bought it from the woman who purchased the phone out right from Tmo. The guy I bought it from used it on straightalk with their Tmo SIM. Anyways, I've been looking for a SIM unlock method that I could do myself, to no avail. In 2014 I SIM unlocked a Sprint XT1056 using the NVITEM software...is there anything like this available for this device

N950FD Singapore bootloader unlockable?

Hello ladies and gentlemen.
I am looking to buy the N950FD singapore version of Note 8. Can anyone tell me if all devices of this variant is bootloader unlockable? I did see the twrp for FD and I also did several researches, some say there is no OEM unlock option for this model until 7 days later it will show after activation? There is a method to skip that and retrieve OEM unlock option straight away.
I just want to confirm this, not willing to buy the Snapdragon version because of lacking custom rom support and ability to unlock bootloader...
Thank you for your time.

I don't have the Singapore version, but I do have the N950FD from Dubai which is bootloader unlocked. To my knowledge all other Exynos variants of the Note 8 are also bootloader unlocked. Yes there is a 7 day wait period to toggle OEM Unlock on some Exynos phones, but there is also a workaround for that posted as a sticky. Hope this helps.

No problem. You can read through the oem unlock thread too for more info on the 7 day timer... I think there were specific posts about the singapore model, but probably from before the workaround and fix were discovered.

Does the SM-N9600 have a unlocked bootloader

Recently bought one with a dual sim, it is international unlocked but has the Snapdragon 845, from what I heard only exynos has a unlocked bootloader? Aloha !
That is correct from what I understand as well, I wouldn't try it and wait for someone to develop a root hack workaround
I was under the impression that the HK 9600 snapdragon was bootloader unlocked.

What region fw is on your phone? We probably will need China, or Hong Kong fw flashed, then crom will work. Then any n9600 fw can be flashed, and bl will still be unlocked. Unfortunately my n9600 still isn't here.
Edit, I forgot, after you enable developer options, you have to wait 7days for oem unlock to appear.
Or try the attached image way. Ugh, wish I had my phone.

Other options for OEM unlock

So I just received a brand new S10 from Sprint. I am trying to enable OEM Unlock so that I can root the device. However, the option does not appear under Developer Options. I have tried to clock reset about 20 different times with no luck. Does anyone know of any other way to get OEM Unlock to show up?
I am currently running Android 9 on the version of G973USQS2BSIA/G973UOYN2BSIA/G973USQS2BSIA and Security Patch Level of September 1, 2019.
Thanks in advance!

This has been know to just about everyone for the last 3 or 4 years. It has been posted here and everywhere else a zillion times so it should come as no surprise.
Actually, you can make the OEM unlock toggle appear, but as far as I know it doesn't really DO ANYTHING at all.....
Just flash the Combo file and check in Dev Settings again, it should be there, and you can tick it on and off....
But like I said, It DOES NOT REALLY "UNLOCK" the bootloader... I guess it's Samsung's way of torturing us. Or making fun of us...
