My note 8 is showing 4 minutes lesser time than the actual time when set to automatic time. I tried restarting the phone, setting the time manually and switching back to automatic, flight mode and back and none of them worked.

After running Android for a couple of weeks on NAND, I've noticed a common problem among Myn's and Plemen's Android builds using the latest dzo's nbh files. I don't know if it is related to what I'm doing but the auto sync functionality of google (including gmail, calendar, and contacts) is very flaky and I get an odd reboot problem.
Since I usually use the phone as my primary wake up alarm in the morning, I never turn it off. Instead, before i go to bed, I put the phone into airplane mode and plug it in to charge. What I've noticed in the two weeks is that more often than not, the phone reboots itself sometime during the night. I noticed this because several times, the single plus double vibrate on startup wakes me up. Other times, I wake up and the screen is on (I've set it to never sleep when plugged in). It's not all that major as long as the alarm rings at the proper time.
Then, as I get ready to go to work, I turn airplane mode off. When I get to work I see that the phone says I have no email. I thought that was odd because I usually have a bunch by 9am. So I logged into gmail on the computer to find that I have 10 unread emails that all arrived while on my way to work (between 8:30am and 9am). So I went into the data sync options to check when it was last synced and it says 8:05am (the time I turned airplane mode off). So the next thing I did was send a test email to my gmail account. No notification after 2 minutes. So I decided to reboot the phone. After it got to the main screen I could see the sync icon on the notification bar and about 30 seconds later, all 10 emails plus my test email got to the phone.
I'm not sure what is causing this problem, but I have a feeling it has to do with airplane mode.
I'll do some more testing to see if I can come up with a consistent way of reproducing this problem.
Update...
I've just done a quick test and need some confirmation from others that this problem exists:
1. Turn airplane mode on.
2. Reset the phone by pressing stylus into reset hole.
3. Wait for it to boot up.
4. Turn airplane mode off.
At this point, I went to check the last sync time in the data sync settings. It should say a time close to when you booted up.
5. Now send a test email from your computer to your gmail account.
Your phone should never notify you of the new email.
6. Now reboot phone again using the stylus method and wait for phone to boot. Your emails should arrive on the phone automatically.
7. Now send another test email from your computer to your gmail account. You should be notified within a minute.
Hi everyone,
I am currently running the rom found at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1464758
and am having a problem adjusting the time before the screen shuts off due to inactivity. At the moment whenever I change it from 15 seconds, the change appears to have taken affect (it shows the change in settings), then I leave the settings and it resets back to 15 seconds with no notification. It appears even if I leave my pad on the settings it does not change anything and still shuts the screen off after 15 seconds.
So now my question is threefold.
1.) Am I able to fix this problem in any way or is it a byproduct of the HP Touchpad itself?
2.) I have screeble, but it does not appear to be receiving information from the pad's accelorometers. Is there any way to fix this?
3.) I have tasker, though I have not messed around with it much. Is there any way to use tasker to force the setting in if the settings are unresponsive?
EDIT: Reflashing the ROM didn't work. Tasker didn't work.
EDIT 2: It looks like it was screeble that was deciding to keep on reseting my screen off time even when it was disabled. I deinstalled it and things seem to be working fine.
I recently factory reset my phone, and now it doesn't properly respect the downtime/priority settings. It's set to go into priority mode at 8:15 pm and exit at 7:15 am. It enters the mode fine, but within a half an hour it's back out of priority mode. I have also used Assist to keep the phone's screen from "breathing" during the same time. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? This didn't happen before the factory reset.
Im using Bixby routines so that every night it disables all unwanted features that consumes battery.
But in the morning, the settings wont revert to what it was previously. Makes it so annoying I have to turn on all the settings manually. Last night was also when I set the phone to auto restart.
What about creating "Bedtime 3" past 8 o'clock where you turn on all these settings back again?

What I remember before , the Bixby routines always reverts to the previous settings after the end time. Now sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't always work, so that's why I think it's a bug. Creating a third routine will be even more complicated.
I recently tried activating and deactivating airplane mode on my Galaxy S10 5G to reset my data connection, which was having issues. When I did, the phone's screen timeout somehow set itself to a setting that normally doesn't exist (see attached screen shot). This causes the screen to go black almost immediately when there's no activity. Since happening the first time, my phone keeps defaulting to this setting, usually when charging it overnight. The setting disappears of I select another option and exit the menu, but keeps showing up again whenever it defaults back or I activate airplane mode again. Does anyone have any clue what's happening here?
