This is Rain, an LG Home+ theme for your LG G8, LG V40, LG V50 running Android 9. This theme is a premium quality theme like no other Home theme+. What you see is what you get and that is quality and attention to details! Rain is a dark theme with some bright gradient accents throughout. The Dark Notifications compliment the ui and battery life! The app icons have a slight gradient to them, with some more noticeable than others. This theme does not support adaptive icons as some of the key features of this theme are blocked by enabling the adaptive icons. If you'd prefer adaptive you will need to use a third party launcher like Hyperion or Nova.
No need to run a third party theme system any more, just use the system theme chooser and you can enjoy all the benefits of an advanced theme system.
To apply the theme simply go into settings/display and select themes. From there select Rain, and push apply! then reboot and then reapply the theme again. It's a bit more in depth than other themes but given the complexity of this premium theme it is required for all elements to be themed properly. Also it is not recommended to "Hide the second screen/notch"'. This may cause some system apps to look odd.
That's it! Simple, easy and quick.
This theme is also meant to run at the highest resolution, with the lowest stock setting for the actual display size. Larger sizes may cause some elements to look slightly off. If this happens please lower the display sizes of the iconography.
Now for the only part that real matters!!!! Screenshot all the thingies!
Enjoy!!!
G Theme 3
Click me for Video Promo
t's back!!! This is G Theme 3. Why G Theme you ask? Well I think you can figure that out when you use it what it's all about. This theme is a premium quality theme like no other Home theme+. What you see is what you get and that is quality and attention to details! G Theme 3 is a dark theme with beautiful colors and designs throughout it. The Dark Notifications compliment the ui and battery life! This theme supports adaptive icons and I recommended choosing circle which is unlocked as a feature and can be accessed from going into the settings application and then going into display, home and choose the icon shape. Due to this the music app does have a light overlay at the bottom which is a bug that LG should address!!! For real LG fix that will ya.
Now this is the important part. This theme is only for LG devices running UX 6, Android 8.0 Oreo. If you are running a different LG UX or android version this will not work and if you upgrade from the above this theme may not work properly. It is presented on an "as is basis". I do my best to try and update to allow for the theme to function on all devices as best I can and as soon as I can. However due to LG's interesting update cycle sometimes one device may update prior to others.
To apply the theme simply go into settings/display and select themes. From there select Twilight, and push apply! then reboot and then reapply the theme again. It's a bit more in depth than other themes but given the complexity of this premium theme it is required for all elements to be themed properly.
That's it! Simple, easy and quick.
The theme comes with a coral wallpaper but if you'd like to have it animated simply grab this add on and set it as a live wallpaper and you'll be all set. Since most Lg Devices don't support seamless wallpapers just download this and install it and set as your live wall and enjoy!
Live Wallpaper right Here!!!
Please note that refunds will not be given for installations on non UX 6 (running Oreo) Devices. As the title of the theme clearly indicates which device this is for and this app description does specify which OS version is supported..
This theme is also meant to run at the highest resolution, with the lowest stock setting for the actual display size. Larger sizes may cause some elements to look slightly off. If this happens please lower the display sizes of the iconography.
If you run into any issues please send me an email directly instead of leaving a poor rating. Often I am very quick to reply and great to solve any issues. The review system is not meant to be a support channel!
Thank you so much for your support and I hope you enjoy this theme. I've worked extremely hard on this and by far it was the most challenging and time consuming project I've ever made!
Instructional video on how to apply Alpha, see below
You will need ADB installed on your pc: Right here
You will also need the substratum app as well as the Andromeda app and the Desktop client for Andromeda
This thread is for support and feedback for my LG Substratum themes and legacy LG themes. with the update to 8.0 Oreo substratum is now supported without rooting your device. Due to the capabilities with Substratum all previous LG themes will be referred to as "Legacy themes" and the primary focus has shifted to Substratum. Since substratum can provide everything that an LG theme can provide and more it makes the most sense to evolve and transcend into the more advanced theming system.
So this is my first theme "Alpha". It has a double meaning and I feel is appropriate for this theme. Let's stop with the chit chat and post a few screenshots and if you're looking for a way to pass the time then keep reading! I promise you the literature doesn't get any better, but have at it!
Oh hey everyone! Again, I didn't see ya there. You just snuck right up on me now didn't ya bud. Well it's that time again. Another new beautiful LG device is upon us and I had to get it. So it must mean it's time for another fun theme discussion and feedback thread. Now I must get this next bit out of the way to make it clear what the purpose of this thread is. 1: I am not here to sell my work whatsoever and that is not the purpose of this thread. Posts regarding updates, screenshots or other communication are strictly for the purposes of obtaining feedback on what I do. and to see if users are pleased with said changes. 2: I will never post a direct link to anything I make that is paid as that is not allowed and I expect that as users you will not post links either.
My V20 and G6 threads are absolutely fantastic and I encourage you all to check it out at some point if you wish to see how I interact with people. I cannot thank you all enough who have supported me and given me feedback and interacted with me in any way to discuss things theme related. Don't be shy about commenting or giving suggestions or feedback provided it is constructive and is done in a mature and professional manner. Feel free to joke around a bit and have some fun. That's what it's all about anyway. It's a very positive and fairly active thread. Users often give me feedback which is incredibly valuable and also post pics of any bug fixes. That allows me to quickly address issues.
First things first to any mods who may be peeping it is important to note that I am complying with xda rules and there are zero paid direct links posted anywhere in this thread by me. So there are no rules being violated. Rule 11 states that I can use xda to get user feedback on paid applications and that is what this thread is for so I am well within rule 11 which can be found here:
11. Don?t post with the intention of selling something.
Don?t use XDA to advertise your product or service. Proprietors of for-pay products or services, may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or a free version of their product for XDA users and to offer support, but not to post with the intention of selling. This includes promoting sites similar / substantially similar to XDA-Developers.com.
Do not post press releases, announcements, links to trial software or commercial services, unless you?re posting an exclusive release for XDA-Developers.com.
Encouraging members to participate in forum activities on other phone related sites is prohibited.
Off-site downloads are permitted if the site is non-commercial and does not require registration.
Off-site downloads from sites requiring registration are NOT encouraged but may be permitted if both of the following conditions are met:
A) The site belongs to a member of XDA-Developers with at least 1500 posts and 2 years membership, who actively maintains an XDA-Developers support thread(s) / posts, related to the download.
B) The site is a relatively small, personal website without commercial advertising / links (i.e. not a competitor forum-based site with purposes and aims similar to those of XDA-Developers.com.)
Be sure to follow me on google plus to stay up to date and get additional theme information regarding updates and other testing and feedback.
So this thread is for all those who are using any of my themes where we can come discuss things, give feedback and post screens etc of what I've been working on. I will continue to add new themes and post screens of my work here and interact with all of you. Remember, I ask that you be civil to myself and other members and keep any feedback constructive.
Pixel 2
This is Pixel 2 theme. This is my take on the Pixel 2 Ui on your LG V30 or LG G6 using UX 6/6+. What you will find is the high standards and attention to the small details that you have come to expect from every single one of my designs. I have created and evolved the way we look at themes in general for LG and set the bar where others will surely try to copy. This is my interpretation on the Pixel 2. Now sit back and enjoy the refreshing yet familiar experience. Do not be fooled by imitations or knock offs that will take shortcuts in order to say they support 20 different LG devices. You know you're getting a brand and quality with me. Now let's have some fun shall we?
Screenshots
G Theme 2 & G Theme 2 Light
This is G Theme 2. You know what the G is for and that is what the backbone of this is. What you will find is the high standards and attention to the small details that you have come to expect from my designs. I have integrated some very familiar and comfortable elements and added some bright and colorful flare to really make it pop! This is the third chapter in the G Theme series.
G Theme 2 is absolutely gorgeous. It is pixel perfection with vectored iconography with all the little details you've been wanting in a theme. You can stop looking for that one theme, it is here.
G Theme 2 brings you crisp and clean and redesigned icons, stunning animated check and radio selectors overhauled from the ground up featuring a morphing design that flourishes, as well as an appropriate long shadow being cast as well as the retraction. The quick settings icons and settings icons features long shadows and the floating action button has been redesigned and implemented throughout the theme. And the keyboard has been reconstructed to replicate the new dark G board style with boarders.
Echo
Please take a minute or two and read this. There are a few things that will help you out if you're lost or confused on a couple things.
This is Echo. What make this theme unique is that it the first and original theme to truly invert the stock ui while retaining features no other theme can do. Echo is all about choice. As the user you should be able to choose if your icons have the default icon frame background or not. You should be able to choose if your navigation bar is white or black... Personally white isn't my thing for this theme but hey it's there if you want! Please don't rate me 1 star and send me a silly message if your navbar is white when you apply this! It may be white if you have it set to be white in settings! As I said it's all about choice so you can set it how you like!
The calendar and clock icons are dynamic in this theme too! And the setting icons will retain the colorful backgrounds they were meant to have! No other theme out there can even come close to giving these to you in such a beautifully inverted style. There are also subtle changes where I felt a few things could be improved from the default light theme.
This theme is meant to run at high resolution only. I do not support lower resolutions and it is not recommended to set it below QHD! This theme is only compatible with UX 6 or UX 6+. Unfortunately I will not be making a UX 5 version of this theme for those wondering as there are too many things that cannot be done on it.
Dark Aosp
It's been a long time coming for this one and today the time has come for Dark Aosp to come to your V30 and G6!
This theme utilizes the dark mode settings found in vanilla Android with a few twists based on your feedback. It is clean, minimal and a very smooth experience. It is also the only theme that uses a true material minimal keyboard, simulating the flat style found in the stock Aosp or Google keyboard!
I hope you will enjoy this one and if you do please take a minute to drop a rating and comment too!
PixTerial
This is PixTerial. This theme is what happens when you combine Pixel Ui with some Material Design and add in some darkness! It's a very clean theme with subtle animations, with an inverted ui of the Pixel Ui. Now throw in some fresh and fun iconography and you have a beautiful theme to enjoy.
Pixel Experience
This is the Pixel Experience. For those who want to enjoy a lighter theme with minimal, subtle changes that want to be able to set it and forget it without having to worry about constant Google app updates and be able to enjoy the Pixel look. This is for you and you're gonna love it! Like Alpha this theme will be updated regularly and will continue to grow as time goes by. Enjoy the clean and refreshing look and experience the Pixel!!! #WhiteUiMustLive
Now you probably didn't bother to read that crap above so let's just post some screenshots shall we?
Some users may experience some readability issues in Settings/storage. So for those who can't deal with these speed bumps I've made a patch for this. It's actually 12 patches so it will take about 30-40 seconds to apply it.
Instructions on how to apply patches are here (same method for settings fix as well as light notifications):
How to install the patch: First update the theme to the latest version. Then download the patches for what you're trying to do. Next change to stock theme. Then install the patches. Then after you've installed them apply Pixel Experience. Next reboot and you'll be all set. If you experience some force closes that is because you didn't revert to stock theme and installed the patches while using Pixel Experience
Here is the patches for the settings fix:

Pixel Experience Dark
Welcome to the dark side. This is Pixel Experience Dark! Including dark notifications! I'm really proud of this and how it turned out! Please take the time to read the app description as there is some important information in there for your benefit which will help you get the best experience out of this theme! Also in the description are optional patches which are theme specific!
So go get it and please drop me a quick rating and if you'd also be so kind to give this a quick share too that would be great!
Screenshots!!!
I've also included a patch for Light notifications because some people mention that they're having difficulties with some apps like whatsapp or telegram where the user name is black on a dark background or that they have a light shadow around said text to make it somewhat readable. If you wish you can install the patch and the entire theme will remain as is but the notifications will be light and you won't have any issues at all.
Also I have a patch for a settings fix. So basically this is the only theme that has been able to change the settings icon backs to have different colors than stock. There is only one method to do it because unlike the G7 they hardcoded them in smali which I can't touch. So due to this some south korean users have experienced a force close in settings (even though I asked them to send me a log so I could fix it none of them ever did). Also there are a few other issues for some dual sim users in settings and a couple screens like storage, accounts that just don't quite look right. These are essentially collateral damage and cannot be fixed if we want to have true Android pie style colored settings icons. So for those who can't deal with these speed bumps I've made a patch for this. It's actually 12 patches so it will take about 30-40 seconds to apply it.

Since this theme pushes the boundaries of the LG Theme system it retains adaptive and dynamic icons on stock launcher. Due to this you will have to select your navbar color in settings, display, home touch buttons. Simply select the dark navbar color. Unfortunately when you select dark it gives you black. This may bother some as it will not be the identical dark shade that the theme uses so I've also made another patch for users who want it to match. This however will kill the adaptive and dynamic icons so decide which option you prefer because unfortunately due to system limitations you simply cannot have both. Like the previous patch just install it, reapply the theme and reboot. If you use a third party launcher this patch should most definitely be used. link to patch: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1JddcJfr9RPwgVbZUnH4kfe-88RdsIFxS
Twilight
See bottom of description for Quick Settings and Dialer Add-on Patches!
This is Twilight an LG Home+ theme for your LG V20, G6, V30, G5 running Oreo only (Pie is not yet supported!!!) This theme is a premium quality theme like no other Home theme+. What you see is what you get and that is quality and attention to details! Twilight is a dark theme with bright gradient accents throughout. This theme does not support adaptive icons as some of the key features of this theme are blocked by enabling the adaptive icons. If you'd prefer adaptive you will need to use a 3rd party launcher like Hyperion.
3rd party Quick Settings Icons:
Some apps allow the user to add a shortcut activity to the quick settings panel. This is not supported by this theme whatsoever. If you decided to add any icons to your quick settings panel they will not show up. They will be 100% transparent. They cannot be added. If this bothers you then in a future update I will make an add-on quick settings patch that will add usability back for them, however it will sacrifice the creativity of the current structure of both styles of available quick settings icons. It will be more minimal and all the icons will be the same color like how most themes are. Due to the complexity and advanced nature of this theme this is something that I am aware of and have embraced 100%.
To apply the theme simply go into settings/display and select themes. From there select Twilight, and push apply!
Please note that refunds will not be given for installations on non LG V20, G6, V30, G5 Oreo Devices. The title of the theme clearly indicates which device this is for and the description also specify which OS version is supported..
This theme is also meant to run at the highest resolution, with the lowest stock setting for the actual display size. Larger sizes may cause some elements to look slightly off. If this happens please lower the display sizes of the iconography.
If you run into any issues please send me an email directly instead of leaving a poor rating. Often I am very quick to reply (unless I'm sleeping and you're in a different time zone) and great to solve any issues. The review system is not a direct support channel!
Quick tip... Search and install the app "Quick Shortcut Maker" on google play. Install, then set a 1x1 quick shortcut maker widget and drag it on your home screen. Then in the activities tab, scroll down to "Themes", expand it. touch 1st option at the top of the list that doesn't have and upwards arrow. Hit Create" button at the bottom and now you have a themes app shortcut.
This theme as you can see from the screen previews shows two different styles of Quick Settings icons. This is because I designed both styles and had a tough time deciding on which ones to go with so I decided to make them both. Minimum are default. If you wish to change them simply install the corresponding patch to the style that you want. After you've installed the patch, apply the default LG theme. Then reboot and reapply the theme. If you wish to change back the original style you can repeat the above process using the other patch. I've uploaded and clearly labeled both patches. Those along with other dark notification patches can be found here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=288984
There is also a patch for the V20/G5 and G6/V30 for the dialer. Because these devices have a different screen resolution I could not make a universal round dialer app. I had to make it just plain black by default but you can install a patch for it as well. These are in the same folder as the quick settings add-ons in the above link. To apply them follow the same steps. V20/G6 Dialer: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=288982
V30/G6 Dialer: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=288984

I see a lot of black and white but the back of my device is silver. ?
Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk.
Great idea! I'll definitely be doing some nice dark ones. I had to do this first because well it's th3 Pixel 2! ???
Have you tested any of your themes with a modified DPI? I downloaded a different V30 theme yesterday, and when it didn't look as shown in screenshots, I eventually found that it was the custom DPI. As soon as I reverted to an official setting, it looked as expected.

Do you mean via adb or using the dpi options included in stock? I imagine using adb it will kill the theme. If i recall the V20 was like that and it was simply beyond our control. I myself have not tried the adb method but did try the stock way and all seemed fine.

It was done through ADB. I miss just how small I could make text on the Note8, so I set it to 500 using a shell command. It applied most of the theme after, but certain elements didn't apply correctly.

Gotcha. I figured as much. What wasn't applied? Depending on what was affected there may be a work around. We can support different dpi folders and I'm starting to use only vectors in the regular drawable folder Which in theory should hit everything regardless of dpi...

The wallpaper was applied, and the background areas that were changed to black, from stock white, also updated. Basically anywhere there was supposed to be magenta, there was orange instead. Which is not present in the stock theme at 500 DPI.
I posted some screenshots here of what is looks like: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74282888&postcount=7
I have no problem supporting your awesome work, having used one of your themes on the V20 as well. So I'll buy at least one theme either way, but it would be awesome if it can apply fully.

I wonder if he just used the bold theme as a base and left the other dpi folders in place. That might explain that orange. If at any point you test that on any of my themes let me know what happens at that dpi. I'll be adding a lot of themes in the near future. G Theme will likely be next once I've remade the icon pack for it.
Hey Mark...you made it! :good:
Love the look of the Pixel 2 Theme, but patiently waiting for this dark themes that you are "famous" for!
I think a G Dark and nXt theme would work well with the V30...or something similar to them.
I need to be more decisive regarding which themes I now purchase since majority of my Google credit went to all your V20 themes!
Looking forward to what comes next...

I'm definitely looking to go back to 500 DPI, so I'll try it with your Pixel 2 theme, unless you have a dark one coming within a few days. No rush, of course.

UPDATE: 26 MARCH 2013
Wiztiles has made it to the Top 16 for the Windows Phone Next App Star Contest! There is no better way to make our statement heard, that Windows Phone users want to customize their home screens.
I have tried my best to convince Microsoft that developers need access to launch First Party and Third Party applications, and access to live tile notifications. They have partly given us what we want, which is launch Third Party apps, but is still very limited. Please help me keep the pressure on, and get our voices heard by getting their attention. We are now in the spotlight for making it to the Top 16 of a contest that Microsoft is promoting. For every round we win, we will get noticed even more. Also, you just might win a Lumia 920!
Please vote here: http://nas.newwp.it
UPDATES TO WIZTILES:
With the new APIs, different resolutions, and different tile sizes, we had to basically re-write the application from the ground up. I know we’re taking long, but I don’t want to release an update that will remove all the current features we are enjoying now. Aside from the current features already available, these are being added:
1. Support for higher resolutions
2. Support for all tile sizes
3. Launching of some third-party apps allowing their apps to be launched (Facebook, Groupon, WhatsApp, Nokia Drive, etc.)
4. Launching of more tasks (battery, music, etc.)
5. Folders
6. Custom background behind tiles
7. Uploading your themes to share with others
8. Downloading your themes to other phones you own
9. Applying and cycling through different themes of already pinned tiles at timed intervals
10. Custom lock screen wallpaper
Let me know if you guys have any questions about these upcoming features, or any suggestions. Thanks!

1. use accent color as background
2. ability to create themes
3. ability to edit themes
4. ability to cut up images into 8,6,4,2 tiles

UPDATE: 21 FEB 2012
I've been getting emails about people's themes not working when they upload to their Skydrive or Google Sites accounts. For some reason, both those services don't work with the Wiztiles application. One service that does work is Dropbox.com. I tried to doing this on the phone browser, but easier with desktop. So after you create an account, upload your zip file to the Public folder. When that file shows up, click on that file's row.. a little dropdown appears on the right. Choose "copy public link". There is also an option to "Shorten Link". Copy/paste the link to email to yourself, or just type it into Wiztiles application to download the theme. We will add the ability to upload the themes easily in Wiztiles Designer, but this is a nice temporary fix. Also, don't be shy! Share your awesome themes with the rest of the community, and post on this thread!
UPDATE: 20 FEB 2012
Hi everyone. I'm very excited to announce a little tool we created so anyone can now make themes. It's called Wiztiles Designer, and it's a little Silverlight app that will run on any Windows or Mac Web Browser that allows you to specify a background for both front and back tiles. The theme will automatically be packaged, and ready for download. This is Version 1.0, and more features will be added in future updates. After designing your theme, all you need to do is post the zip file somewhere to share, like this thread. I will add your creations to the front page for everyone to download. Go nuts!

For anyone wondering, YES this feature will be available in the Wiztiles phone application as well. For now, we want anyone to make themes even if they don't own a WP7. Let me know if you guys have questions. Also feel free to email [email protected] for any bugs, suggestions, or if you want us to feature your awesome theme!
UPDATE: 9 FEB 2012
Some people are reporting that their pinned tiles no longer work after the update. As djntraining45 posted on the Wiztiles Marketplace review page, unpin from your home screen, and pin it back again from within Wiztiles. The tiles should work again as expected. Sorry about that bug, there was no way for us to catch it during testing. Thanks everyone who sent in the bug.
We've also had a complaint about the loading screen. Please note that having that loading screen does not slow down the launching of pinned tiles in any way. We had to put that in, as we needed a loading screen when loading the main application. It will go away once we've figured out a way to make a separate loading screen for the main application. Thanks.

UPDATE: 01 FEB 2012
Wiztiles Pro is up in the Marketplace!
Download it here:
http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/f8f66960-acba-40b2-842b-1fbec2664739
Quick Notes:
You guys currently have the FREE Version. The FREE Version will also get an update shortly, as soon as it passes certification. The PRO Version contains TRIAL and PAID versions. As of now, the TRIAL of PRO Version will be exactly the same as the FREE Version that you guys already downloaded. The advantage of using the TRIAL of PRO Version is that if you ever decide to upgrade to the PAID Version, all your themes and settings will be saved. Also, the PAID Version will eventually have additional features that the FREE and TRIAL version won't have.
So what's changed?
All the FREE stuff that you guys currently enjoy has been preserved. Plus, we've improved the loading time of custom tiles, as well as overall app performance. We've also added new backgrounds and icons to the base Metro theme.
What's the advantage of getting PAID version?
PAID has additional features to make downloading of themes easier. It also has theme versioning, so if a new version of a theme is available, the app will let you know. Then all you have to do is download the new version from an easy interface. PAID also lets you store unlimited themes into your phone. FREE and TRIAL will only allow you to store 1 theme at a time. BUT, if you've been downloading themes the old way (putting in the URL to download from server) you are allowed UNLIMITED number of those. Why did we do this? Because we want to encourage the community to keep making themes on their own, and share with the community. It also lets theme designers test their creations without limitations. So, if you are willing to maintain your own version of themes, and download themes the OLD way, you can probably live with the FREE or TRIAL version. If you want the convenience of EASY downloading and version maintenance, get the PAID version. Also, if you just want to support us, get the PAID version
What do you mean FREE and TRIAL Versions allow only ONE theme at a time?
If you downloaded a theme the easy way, which is pick it from a list of available themes, and pressed "download theme", you only have 1 slot available on your downloaded themes list. You can always delete a theme from that list to download another theme. To delete, simply long-press on the theme you want to delete, and select "delete". As I mentioned above, if you downloaded a theme the OLD way, you are not limited to just 1 theme at a time.
New for Version 1.2.0
1. faster launching of custom tiles
2. performance enhancements to make app faster
3. easy access to 12 new themes!
4. theme versioning
5. theme preview with screenshots
6. create tiles without using a theme
7. updated none task to go back to home screen
8. added task to launch wiztiles application
9. quick access to review app
10. added mini icons to metro theme for use with wallpaper themes
11. added backgrounds with gradients to metro theme
12. added url parameters to browser task for theme designers
13. added disabled back tile for theme designers
14. improved overall user experience
Here are screen shots on how the new icons and backgrounds from the base theme can be used:
UPDATE: 19 JAN 2012
Apologies for not updating for a while. I'll try to answer some of the questions asked on this thread later on. We've been busy with the next release. We've solved the loading problem, so custom shortcuts will now load within 1 second or less. We've also made it very easy to download themes. I will update more as we get closer to next release. In the meantime, here's some screen shots. Enjoy!
UPDATE: 29 DEC 2011
NEW UPDATE IS OUT! PLEASE UPDATE OR GO TO MARKETPLACE TO GET IT NOW!
Surprise! We took out the ads! We removed everything you guys hated about the app. It is still FREE!!! Enjoy, and Happy New Year! Please rate our app after you download. Thanks!
New for Version 1.1.0
No more ads!
Performance Enhancements
No more annoying splash screen image
Added ability to disable back tile
Improved overall user experience
Removed having to click back twice to reach home screen
UPDATE: 22 DEC 2011
It's been a crazy 24 hours. Thanks for all the tremendous feedback! Please keep them coming! It helps us improve and find out which is annoying to users. So first thing first, I will list the pains that people are experiencing. Most of the reviewers seem to remember the bad, and the satisfied reviewers just don't say anything. So please, if there is something that you love and hate about the app, we would love to know about it. So, for the pains:
1. Hate the wiztiles splash screen
2. Hate the loading time of the created shortcuts
3. Hate the ads
Our response:
1. Windows phone apps are encouraged to embed a jpg image while the app loads. This is what you guys are seeing every time you click on your custom tile. Obviously, our app has to start in order to launch your action. We are not intentionally plastering an image in your face for a few seconds to remind you of what app your are using. We are simply launching the wiztile app. We are working on making the launch time shorter, so you won't have to wait so long, and hopefully the launch time will be short enough, that we won't need to load a splash screen.
2. We are currently looking for ways to optimize the app, so load time is cut short.
3. The app is free. We need to eat. We are working on the paid app. We refuse to sell an app that does not meet your expectations. The paid app will hopefully get around all the loading time issues, and hopefully when that paid app is released, our tiles will behave as you guys expect. Fast loading, and with more features.
Conclusion: We love the feedback. Especially feedback that tells us how to improve the app. We do hate the 1 star review. Please rate us fairly, as we want the app to bubble up to the top of the marketplace, and get the word out. If you love the app, please rate it! We need the positive reviews! I will post more later about making themes, and where to find them. Thanks for all your support!
UPDATE: 21 DEC 2011
Name: Wiztiles
Hi guys, I'm proud to announce that my app is finally here. It's late getting certified in the Marketplace for 2 weeks because of a silly icon that did not pass, but it's finally here now.
Basically this app lets you create custom tiles and tile themes for your homescreen. Sure, there are tons of similar apps in the marketplace, but I promise, this one is different. The main difference is that you can create themes, then download them into your phone. We've also created 15+ basic tasks that you can execute from the custom pinned tiles.
Here are some examples:
1. Make a phone call
2. Compose email
3. Launch a website
4. Compose text message
5. Take a picture
6. Share status to: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Live
7. Airplane Mode
8. Bluetooth Settings
9. Cellular Settings
10. Wifi Settings
11. Directions
12. Location Search
13. Bing Search
14. Browse Marketplace Applications
15. Browse Marketplace Music and Videos
The one you will most likely use is Launching websites. Instead of ugly pinned website shortcuts, you can make custom tile shortcuts to your favorite sites like m.youtube.com or reddit.com. So the most interesting part of the app is the themes. Themes are zip files with a bunch images and text files inside to define a theme. I've attached a sample theme here:
View attachment sample.zip
A sample blurb from the theme text file:
task=Phone
front.icon=phone.png
front.background.color=#635297
front.background.image=back1.png
front.title=Phone
back.background.color=#635297
back.icon=phone2.png
back.background.image=back2.png
back.title=Phone
back.text=this is awesome!
Currently, you can make themes on your desktop since it's much easier with a big screen. I'm attaching a PSD Template to get you guys started.
View attachment WiztilesThemeTemplate.zip
Once you've created a theme, zip it up and upload somewhere. Then from the phone app, pivot to menu, then click on "download themes". Enter the URL in the box, and click on "download theme" button. So that's about it with themes. I hope you guys like the app, and feel free to post some theme files on this thread. I'm excited to see what you guys can come up with! Also, please review the app in the marketplace! We would love to get 5 stars if you like it

thx for share!
Really good work.
1 question - if i have an image that i wish to use as a background, how do i split the image so it spans across all tiles?
are the pinned tiles Live? or just static?
DJRedline,
Currently, the app itself can't split images. It is the highest priority feature right now that is being worked on. It just didn't make it for this release. The next release is coming very soon, depending on how long certification will approve. You can manually make these images from the WiztilesThemeTemplate.zip I attached above. I will let you guys know as soon as Version 1.2 is available. Thanks!

Yes, pinned tiles are live, as they flip to reveal more info that you specify. It does not, however, give you counts of missed calls, new sms count, new email count, etc. We will try to implement these in the near future, depending on how much is allowed by the API's. There is no easy way to do this with the tools Microsoft currently provides.
Nice app
Really nice, just tried it out on my HD2. Gonna be featured on the portal .
I think you should include some more pre-made themes, as most people probably won't want to create them themselves. But otherwise, very nice and polished app, combines theming and shortcut functionality.
Will you make paid versions? Since now you're showing a WizTiles screen after pressing a live tile, which slows it down unnecessarily.
Thanks, Livven!
I have a few friends who are making themes and will be posting a couple soon! Paid version is coming soon! As far as showing the WizTiles screen, that is really the loading screen for the app. We are investigating why it takes about 2 seconds to load the app. We are trying to find out how we can load it faster, so there will be no delay. Thanks for planning on featuring in portal!
I could actually make some themes (been theming and tweaking WM 6.5, but yeah, lost interest...) now that there are holidays. Let's see.
What I'd also really like to see are more custom actions, like in Supreme Shortcuts.
Some other observations: When changing the picture/icon/color, the app bar buttons are above the ad, and it's not obvious what the color field does. Also, the app icon isn't pixel-perfect to be displayed in the app list (seems to be scaled down from the tile-icon that is pixel-perfect).
(Yes, I'm a designer )
Your App is going to Rock. Themes had been a major wanted feature and till now was possible via some custom tool. I have done a review on wpxbox
Also I will suggest you to check the Windows Phone Hacker Tool and see if you can get something like that done specially for Installed Apps or Homebrew Tools.
Secondly Can you get the process automated which will be like replacing the start screen with the theme or pin all of them automatically.

You can try the Windows Phone Icon Maker Tool http://wpiconmaker.codeplex.com/
Hi Livven, thanks for pointing out the scaling down of tile icons. We will look into that. Also, unlike Supreme Shortcuts, this app does not require Homebrew. We don't have direct access to the actions that Supreme Shortcuts offer. We might do a homebrew version of this later on, to make this a real launcher. As of now, we are focusing on non-homebrew version. Thanks!
wpxbox, thanks for the input and the review! We will look into the Windows Phone Hacker Tool when we decide to go homebrew. I will need to ask my fellow coder if he's up for it.
Ah okay, so those things are limited by MS. Looking forward to further development then.
Hi. I'm trying and upload a new theme and am being told that the theme file is corrupt. I tried uploading your sample theme zip and then downloading it as well and get the same message. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Hi Agion, try to upload the zip file in this thread. For example, I uploaded the sample.zip file at the beginning of this thread. If you right-click on that link, and copy link, it looks like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=825470&d=1324532072
Email and copy and paste that link into the download themes textbox in the phone app. It should download the theme called "sample" It's a duplicate of metro theme. On your list of themes, you can do a long press and the menu item will contain "delete". Click on that if you want to delete the downloaded theme. Hope this helps!
OK, and even better tip: In your windows phone web browser, long press on the link above. Pick "copy link". Paste the URL into the "download themes" textbox, and voila! Theme is downloaded into the app.
I am really at a loss. I copied your link and the theme installed fine. I downloaded the file to my desktop, replaced the one background image with one of my own (173x173 png), re-zipped keeping the same folder integrity, and still got the corrupt message. I uploaded to a different server (this time skydrive) and downloaded from there. Still no dice.
On different note, I did use a picture from my saved photos on the phone and created a phone shortcut. It seemed to work fine. Once I tried to enter your app again it would crash. I restarted the phone and tried again but could not get back into the app. I uninstalled and re-installed. It worked. I installed the sample file that you asked me to and it installed the metro theme. When I tried to enter your app again, it crashed.
I am running a Samsung Focus, v1.3.
Thanks.
Hi Agion, sorry to hear you're having difficulties. By the way, skydrive link has not worked for me either, even if I setup as public link. We will need to figure out exactly what Skydrive is doing. I will test on a focus phone, and see if I can recreate your problem. Do you mind posting the zip file you created? Thanks!
Very Very Very amazing !!!

Poloche, we appreciate your feedback. We've received similar feedback from many people. We are working on a paid app with no splash screen, faster loading, and no ads anywhere. We don't want to charge people for a half-finished app. Please be patient, as we resolve these issues. Thanks for your support!
[CM12-THEME] ░⋮ PCB Series (Circuit Boards) ⋮░ Premium theme updated for Lollipop!

Actively updated for 2+ years, the PCB series of themes return to Lollipop! With that same dedication, exquisite details have been applied to an extensive amount of elements. We're talking Material Light + Dark, PCB graphic images in the notification dropdown and various backgrounds, as well as 3 different styles of keyboards.
That's not all though, as a full theme support for Holo is included! Many developers have not quite updated their apps to use Material design, and in this case, they'll still look gorgeous due to PCB supporting Holo Light + Dark.
► Custom, unique 8-bit boot animation
► "Exo", a sharp, easy-to-read font
► Wallpaper and Lock Wallpaper
► Techy ringtone and notification sounds
► Works with Tablet UIs!
► Full system, Material & Holo (Light + Dark)
► Calculator
► Contacts // Dialer // Phone
► Android Keyboard (3 styles to choose from)
► Settings
► Trebuchet Launcher
► CM Updater & Theme Chooser
► More features and colours in future updates!
All of the above amounts to what is basically a 4-in-1 theme (Material + Holo // Light + Dark for both), delivering outstanding value at a low cost. Don't forget that the CM12 Theme Engine supports the ability to mix-n-match theme components, so use few, many, or all!
» PCB Mini-Site
Change Log is found via the PCB Mini-Site link above
Due to the nature of Theme Chooser, it is not possible to put multiple colours into one theme
» Google Play
* Note that currently only PCB Blue is available for CM12 -- More colours to follow!
Simply install the theme from Google Play, then navigate to SYSTEM SETTINGS --> THEMES, and apply the PCB colour theme you just installed. If you have any issues with applying the theme, or some elements are not styled, simply perform a full REBOOT.
Please note that while a huge amount of elements are themed, you may come across certain ones that were not. This is most likely due to the fact that the Theme Engine cannot quite style them yet, but I will continue to do my best to update it once available.
You may also sometimes see 'out of place' colours, which were used to target certain elements, however I did not find all of them (they might not even be used), but if you do, please include a full-resolution screenshot and post it to the Google+ community.
A _massive_ amount of work has been put into this theme, and I am sincerely doing my best to get it to perfection. Please consider this when leaving your rating! Hope you enjoy, thanks!
Looks good. It looks a lot like the mixer theme I take it he "borrowed" some of your images

He didn't end up "borrowing" them, as I had given him permission previously. The PCB theme of mine above is 'pure' and of my original work. MrDSL is a great guy though, as I had kindly asked him to remove my PCB elements from his market versions of Mixer, to which he peacefully obliged. Mixer can still be found with my PCB images, however the 'official' version is the one that I'll be maintaining on Google Play. It has been about 1.5 years in the making, and I have never been able to ask for a cup of coffee for it before (due to it formally being a flashable .zip).
Anyways, glad you like, and please do remember that I'll be working hard to maintain and improve this theme. Couple of things planned are more system app styling (MMS/E-Mail/Contacts/etc.), as well as develop new colour schemes once the main design is near-complete.
Cheers and please help spread the word by Tweeting + Rating the app if you grab it from Google Play, thanks!!
Hi! Pretty cool theme. Looks very nice on the AOKPCB!!
Would be possible a CM7 version? :B
Keep up the great job!

Thanks for the kind words clockworkninja!! I'm not sure if it would work on CM7, as that is Gingerbread and has many different resources when compared to ICS...I won't rule it out, but chances are slim
Hey scar - as you may remember I'm a big fan of your theme. Currently running AOKPCB Nightlies on my Sensation and using the CM9/Theme Chooser version on my A500.
Everything is great, one tiny thing bothering me though...it's the status bar on my A500. When I first bought the theme all was ok but after update the circular circuit icons under Back - Home - Recent Apps are off center. At least I'm pretty sure they weren't like that at first...Upon opening something "fullscreen" like pictures or movies they are correctly placed but after returning home they are offset vertically again.
After last update my status bar Back Home and Recent backgrounds are still a bit offset and the notifications/toggles area has some parts bright blue.

Hi HunnyBearLewis,
I can confirm what you're seeing with the bright blue parts of the notification area. This is a result of me getting back to the Tablet UI, and I ran out of time yesterday to completely address it I will be doing my best to get that looking proper, but it does seem that the CM Theme Engine has some issues with tablet layouts (they weren't around in CM7).
Otherwise, with the notification button spacing, I believe this may be an issue that stems from AOKP, as I have not changed any metrics for spacing, or even image dimensions (they're the same as stock, just with my design). I'll still keep it in mind though and try to address it. FWIW, on my TF101, the navbar buttons appear a lot closer to each other, but then again, I have 5.
Anyways, I know I haven't said much helpful stuff, but I'll always be working to improve/fix these issues! Thanks for your patience and reporting.
can you make the keyboard a separated flashable zip? so i can flash it in my dx
Hi all,
I just wanted to post up a quick note to let you know that I always check this thread and I always take everyone's recommendations seriously (and thank you for them!). There are a few issues with v1.0.4 (the current version) of the theme, mainly with the Tablet UI notification popup area (blue glitch), and I hope to fix those for the next update.
Life is a struggle for me (as I'm sure it is with many), but as I am a freelancer and work for myself (mainly doing web design/hosting), it is tough for me to dedicate a huge amount of hours to the theme. That said though, it is truly a passion of mine as I also use the PCB theme myself. I will always continue to work on improving it, but please please be patient.
Understandably, website design + hosting is a bit more lucrative than my theme in the Market, BUT I sincerely want to thank everyone who has purchased it, as it really means a lot to me. Please help me by rating the theme and also tweeting/spreading the word about it. I've still got some nice plans for the future, and I will surely work them into the theme over time.
Thanks again for reading this, I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up as to why I haven't been as active as I was over the past few weeks (although I hope that will change!).
Cheers!
Great theme. Found a bug with the usb debugging icon in the notification pull down.
Found a couple more bugs with the battery style. The battery bar in the status bar style doesn't work. It's blank instead of showing it. And here's a couple of glitches with different battery styles. And wouldn't it look better if the battery was blue to match the theme, unless perhaps it's charging or close to dying? That's my opinion at least. This is an hdpi device, by the way. Also, not too fond of it changing the wallpaper. Sorry for the long list

Thanks PonsAsinorem, I know the battery icons are a bit messed up, so I will fix that for the next version (revert the other 'non-circle mod' icons back to stock), although I'm not too sure I'll make them blue just yet (other priorities and fixes to be done first).
In terms of that USB Debugging Icon background within the pulldown list, I have seen it before with other apps too, but I still cannot find where that image is located. It has eluded me for the longest time, but I'll go on another hunt soon
Otherwise, I hope these can be considered minor issues, but I'll definitely try to fix them quickly too.

Hi Spyr0s, I can confirm this, and my goal was to fix Pons' issues (via that screenshot previously) with the Battery Text Mode. Looks like another thing I cannot fully solve, so it's going to be one way (no CM9 circle battery icon) or the other (battery text modes will be borked).
Please leave your thoughts as to what you might prefer, because my goal is to always take feedback that would help make PCB better.
On a side note, the Tablet UI issues have been fixed, and a few other change log items have been added to v1.0.5 of PCB Blue. Here's the Google Play change log:
• Fixed incorrect battery icons being shown on anything other than "CircleMOD" option
• Improved keyboard background scaling on different DPIs / tablets
• Colourized soft keys/navbar icons to match theme colour
• Optimized resource XMLs
• [TABLET UI] Fixed display issues with Notification Area
• [TABLET UI] Created a new status bar background
• [TABLET UI] Improved spacing of notification buttons / softkeys
► Please remember to (re)rate to help our listing r0ank!
Hope you're still enjoying it...Cheersch!

The issue you are trying to fix is an AOKP bug, not a theme issue. Theme Manager was created by CM9 team for CM9 ROMs, if themes are not working correct then AOKP must find a way to fix it rather than just copy the CM9 code.
With your solution in 1.0.5 every CM9 user is being left with unthemed battery icon. I've used Blue Infinitum theme with AOKP and "Icon only" gives you themed icon, "text only" gives you themed text and "Circle Mod" gives you stock battery icon and of course CM9 works fine.
If it's borked due to improper aokp implementation, I'd switch it back. Don't want to short change other users because of it. And I don't use those modes anyways, I was just testing and looking for bugs. Apparently the status bar battery bar does work, you just have to go back in and reset your option and reset the color, even though it's selected. Perhaps we need to get with aokp about their implementation of the theme engine to figure out how best to solve this, for completeness sake. Thanks for working on this.
Hey guys, thanks for the follow up, and helping me understand what exactly is going on here. Keep in mind, I never want to deprive anyone from features/functionality in my theme, however as we know, all ROMs are not created equal (that would be pretty boring wouldn't it?!).
I'll run some more tests, etc., and try to come to a happy solution that doesn't screw with anyone too much Will update with more as I make progress.
Have a great weekend in the meantime all!

Try switching to the System Theme first, then Reboot immediately. Once you're back into Android, try applying PCB Blue again. The theme doesn't have any 'device-specific' resources, so it should work provided your ROM with Theme Chooser support is built properly.
Please let me know what happens.

Been working on this theme for a long time now and its been a struggle at times especially when its hard to find the time, most of what I have learnt has come from XDA tutorials and the many people who contribute to them so I would like to thank anyone who contributed their bit of knowledge in the releveant threads.
individuals id like to thanks especially: Daniel Czarnomorski (dcstudio) for template and help, pooley, kovdev & sTl2yk3l2, all of which answered my question and tried to help me with problems I encountered.
I have tried to make the theme as polished and release ready as possible which is why it has taken me so long, I understand they may be problems and people may have suggestions about what can make it better or may not like current icons or theme elements to which I would like to hear your feedback so that I can work to make it better.
Wallpapers can only be applied using launchers with their own compatible wallpaper pickers, I have not yet managed to work out how to create a wallpaper picker within the app, it was giving me Force close errors but hopefully I can implement this in the next update.

haha true yes
FYI, havent tried it yet but looks super cool
will try tomorrow and keep up the good work
quality theme the moment you install it everything matches well wallpaper and icons and the dock icons are really clean
sent my list of icons to be themed not so bad for now as i put them in one folder
thanks going to make new icons soon hopefully, first I want to try to implement the1dynasty's template into the theme, activity pages and wallpaper picker etc. then ill start rolling out weekly icon updates im aiming for about 50 icons a week. icon updates arent so bad on 3 themes as they are easy to re hue but implementing the activity into all 3 will be a bit more long winded, hopefully I can get it to work.
just to keep everyone updated I was planning weekly updates however I have a job interview this week and have to complete some tasks before hand, first icon expansion is scheduled for around the 14th July. ensure you send me lists of un-themed icons so I can work on these before this date.
updates not going as planned, main reason for this is due to the fact that after a short holiday ive been preparing for a job interview and now have got a job in graphic design which is ideal and should mean that I can improve my own skills and work rate . im going to give it a week to settle into my new job before I begin work on new icons for these themes, so far very happy with how successful the theme has done considering that the marketing of it came to a quick halt after release.
help me out by sending me:
- apps you want icons themed for
- ideas of graphical elements you dont like or think can be improved
- dock icons you would like, sticking with the glyph style I have implemented the dock icons are easy to make and can be anything from basic shapes to representation of apps so let me know if theres anything you would like.
with regards to the wallpaper picker Ive decided I am done with racking my brains trying to work out how to iron out errors I get with the app every time I try to implement a picker and I simply do not have the time for it anymore, my interests are graphical and web design based and it is not enjoyable for me lol. as a work around I am beginning work on my own website where I will publish all my themes and future wallpapers in full quality for download. this has many advantages to myself and users by:
- generating traffic for my own designs and work
- creating a large library of wallpapers in one area
- decreases overall app size as wallpapers are fairly large in size
- improves quality of wallpaper as I don't have to compress them
- users can download images to their device, allowing them to be used as lock screen wallpapers as well as home screen.
thanks for the support of everyone this theme has helped me have the confidence to pursue a career in design and purchases of the premium greyice version will help to pay for the costs of my website.
Amazing
Thanks grey :good: :good:
greyICE version of this theme is now free, I do not support these themes anymore as I really wasnt very good when it came to the code side of making an app anyway, my true passion was with the graphical elements and I lack the time and patience to carry on with themes.
hope everyone enjoys these themes while they last I dont think they will work as intended forever as package names change and launchers update. I am willing to share icons/wallpapers and even complete theme files I used if anyone would like them, just let me know how best to share them.
Thanks so much

In front of you is reincarnation of popular user interface Kite UI.
Instruction on complete applying of elements:
1. You need launcher which replacement of standard icons is possible in. The theme was tested on Lightning Launcher,
which has necessary features: 1) possessing a large quantity of settings, it remains to be the fastest of offered on the Market. 2) Movement on the screen
can be carried out to the left, to the right, down, up and on a diagonal, in difference from other launchers, who offer transition between home
screens only by moving to the left and right.
After all that there is a question, what is Kite UI? How the movement on the screen should be carried out? If you saw a topic on xda-developers, you already
are familiar with structure. If not, I will tell you, it should be carried out comprehensively. Probably, with a little differences, than
in Lightning Launcher, but nevertheless, very approximately. Still App Drawer is built standardly in it.
Certainly, to achieve the necessary result in settings, you should spend a little time in settings of a launcher. From the most important points of
settings, I will note, in the line :Number of columns" it is necessary to put value 3, and in "Line height" - 75, if your screen has not got more or less than 3.5 inches.
Otherwise you should experiment with settings.
!!!. You can use any launcher for a theme, I only give advice. If you're not familiar with any of the launchers you can
just install a BetterCut app from the market.
2. You need to download the UltimateCustomClockWidget (UCCW) app to apply and issue the clock widget on the main homescreen.
3. Super Status Bar. Even with the trial version of this program, you will approach status bar of the phone to the status of a Kite bar as much as possible.
And everything is at a minimum of spent time. You don't need additional application of themes, which will be unlocked in the paid version. Standard design
is already approached. !!!. Similar programs, such as, for example, Status Bar +-Custom Status Bar are possible. But design of an appropriate look
I can not guarantee.
4. Music player. Not compulsory procedure. I looked long for it. I use TTPod with an orange standard skin, thanks to its fast speed of the circulation, the built-in 12-band equalizer, strengthening of basses, shake function imitation, and madly beautiful design.
5. Widget Locker. I included the backup settings of the application. Well, and Kite Locker certainly. So, I think it would not be a hard work to adjust it for long since everything here is provided by me.
It is necessary only to put icons and widgets there. As a clock for lockscreen for example I use UCCW too.
THE PAID ARCHIVE CONSISTS OF:
1. 40 Kite UI style homescreen and 49 app menu icons.
2. A Kite UI clock widget, with author's backup settings along with 50 day and 49 night weather skins.
3. Nearly 80 HD, FHD and UHD landscape and 16 abstraction wallpapers. The Kite design looks perfect with every of it.
4. Exclusive fonts to set up date, etc... including original Kite UI font ("kite" folder).
5. The well-known Kite UI LockScreen on the basis of Widget Locker. Simplicity and grace.
6. The well-known Kite UI wallpaper with the clouds, recreated most approximately to the original taking into account more than 80 layers of a photoshop. The original eclusive KITE UI wallpaper is also included.
7. Many variants of demo icons and weather skins, so you could see all the progress been maken.
The FREE v.0.7 of the theme consists of:
1. 10 Kite UI style homescreen and 50 app. menu icons.
2. A Kite UI clock widget, with author's backup settings along with 6 main day and 6 main night weather skins.
3. 33 HD landscape wallpapers. The Kite design looks perfect with every of it.
4. Original Kite UI font ("kite" folder).

I need some action in the topic, so I pay your attention on a contest. First 10 people who post messages in this topic will get this theme for just a 1$. Contest ends on 15th of June.
As good as this looks, I think you should have a look at the rules on xda regarding paid apps. It's one thing to have a donation button, quite another to try and sell your theme here.
+1 on the previous post. Great idea but, in my opinion, its bad way to advertise the theme. Good luck though. I'd love to see the free version as per XDA rules.

Ok. I really appreciate some activity in the topic, as long as it good review or a critics.
1. As for XDA rules, I've read it. I didn't lie to anybody, so you get a full alpha of this work, which is not restricted by time limits or smth. to review it and make a choice of appreciate or not appreciate an author's work. Instead of donate version I just made a note of transfering a payment. I've done the analog of XDA conditions, not crossing it.
2. I started this work in early 2010. Since then there were a lot of re-doings and some new things, as programms needed for this are also newer now, so there was a huge progress to see, what you see now.
3. All the updates of work will be released free in this topic, so you support a lot of spent time. I tried not to make a monopoly of this work, so there is a free link also.
As the contest goes on, you can receive the full version for transferring a $1. Posted to cornelha, ncdub

I'm giving it a shot.
Initial feedback not even installing yet.....
1. I have to figure out how to install. I'm a relatively smart fellow, but I'm having to read the install instructions more than once to figure out what to do. From my experience most people don't spend a lot of time working to get a theme installing. Using themechooser or something similar and picking a theme that has been installed by an apk is the preferred method
I have purchased the full UCCW and have messed with my own designs so I'm not expecting any issues.
2. Download locations are the easiest or user friendly. It was easy for me, I have a multi-host download program I pay for and I use Internet Download Manger so it's a two click deal for me.
3. Good deal adding install instructions in rar file. That helps.
I've got it downloaded. I'm going to play with it on my stockish 4.3 ROM on my ATT Note 2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2704375
dicksteele, yeah, the main problem of the work that it is not in one easy apk.
Though I am not smart in coding, so everything is just a designer's work. I just was so excited by Kite interface, and dissappointed it wasn't released to a public, so I wanted to anyhow recreate it. How I could.
WORK If you could do some help with coding this thing, you can P.M. me to my e-mail address (entered higher) or to my XDA profile. That help would be appreciated.
Also, you can have the full theme according to contest rules.
Waiting for other posts...
feel free to P.M. an author.
I'm closing this thread since it doesn't follow the paid themes guidelines, and is using pay-per-click links.
To summarize:
You can advertise your paid themes if and only if the free version is equivalent to it.
Download links must not be a mean for you to get money.
For more details, refer to the paid themes policy and the forum rules (especially rule #13).
Hey all,
here you have a summary of all available theming options to theme your OneUI 3.1 on Android 11.
Please note that this post features some paid apps! I do not intend to advertise these, it is just the lack of good free options at the moment. I did not put links here intentionally.
The following options allow for good theming support of your OneUI 3:
Hex Installer - Themes for OneUI (Early Access)
Most convenient option, very user friendly
Highly customizable (not only colors but also UI elements / tweaks)
Supports different "UI Mode" plugins, like the "AOSP R" plugin that allows for AOSP-like theming
Icon Theming for the OneUI launcher supported, as well as custom fonts
Pretty much all OS apps supported, also lots of third-party apps
Works by compiling and applying themes for the Samsung Themes engine
Can be used in combination with Substratum, more below
Some features are paid (the prices are fair)
Substratum / Substratum Light with Android R supporting themes
I could only make out 5 themes that support Android 11 / OneUI 3.1 at the time I am writing this:
Flux (free)
Flux White
Liv Dark (that's what I'm using)
Liv White
Aurora
These themes support a good range of apps and provide many customization options
Works great in combination with Hex Installer, more below
Substratum needs root!
Synergy
Now supports OneUI 3.1 as well
You can combine themes from different sources (like Substratum)
You cannot combine Synergy with Hex Installer
Personally I found Hex Installer to be more user friendly and allowing for more customization
Yet this is the way to go if you want to use a Substratum theme that does not natively Support OneUI 3
Paid app
SwiftBlack Installer
Now supports OneUI 3.1 as well
Most convenient theming experience
Easy updating of overlays
Customizable colors
But less themed apps as the other options as of now
Good Lock by Samsung (and its modules)
This app is quite known but totally underestimated in terms of its quality and feature set
Good Lock is a free customization toolbox by Samsung for OneUI, consisting of multiple apps/modules that can be separately installed from the Samsung Store
The modules allow for many different customizations in terms of lockscreen, homescreen, navbar, statusbar, clock face, and lots of more (visual aspects, UI tweaks, additional OS tuning and features)
Really recommend to get it and take a look at all modules and features. You'll like it!
Want to use Option 1 & 2 together? Let me share some tips on that specific matter:
First go to substratum and open your desired theme (see above). Do not yet compile any overlays. Just go to the overlay "Android System" and look up the color options it has. Choose an accent and a background color and note their color codes. Again: Do not yet compile the overlays. In case you decided to use Liv White / Liv Dark, I recommend choosing a solid color as accent (not gradient).
Now open your Hex Installer app and adjust the color scheme, taking into consideration which colors you chose to use for the Substratum theme (eg: Use the same accents / background colors)
Compile and fully install your Hex theme
Open Substratum again and compile all wanted overlays. You can compile overlays for apps that are already themed by Hex Installer. Remember to use the colors that you chose earlier.
Reboot and profit from a fully themed system!
Other tips:
For edge lighting experiences, I really recommend "Borderlight" if you only want edge lighting on home/lockscreen.
If you are looking for a system wide edge lighting experience, I recommend the app "Always On Edge". Heavier on your battery but provides extensive options.
Please note that not all third-party overlays are working perfectly.
If you want to use the same theme as shown in the attached screenshots, I have also attached my Hex profile and Substratum profile for you to use.
Hit thanks if any of this information was helpful!
Any questions? Leave a reply and I will try my best to help out.
Best regads,
lartsch

You're welcome. I do not know of any proper TG groups for the S21 or at least I am not a member in any. For custom roms to appear you will need to wait for quite some more time I think. In terms of themes, I don't know any other than the 5 in my OP. Have a great day!

Is Synergy working as before with no root?
EDIT: never mind, have to do ADB after each restart
Synergy soft bricked my phone. The settings app, and samsung theme app would crash and force the phone to reboot in Safemode SystemUI. I tried fixing the apps via recovery mode, nothing. Just a warning.

Hey all,
after having the experience that theming support on Android 11, especially OneUI 3, is quite weak as of now, I thought I'd share a few tips for people who are looking for something more than the Samsung Themes store can offer.
I can't live without proper, system-wide black theming and I bet some of you feel the same.
Please note that this post features some paid apps! I do not intend to advertise these, it is just the lack of good free options at the moment. I did not put links here intentionally.
// Screenshots at the bottom
// Update 1: Added Aurora theme to the list, which now supports Android R / OneUI 3
// Update 2: Synergy now supports OneUI3
The following options allow for good theming support of your OneUI 3:
Hex Installer - Themes for OneUI (Early Access)
Probably the most convenient way as of now. Allows for a decent theming experience, especially in combination with option 2.
Supports different "UI Mode" plugins, like the "AOSP R" plugin that allows for AOSP-like theming.
Fully customizable color scheme as well as other UI options (depending on the "UI Mode" plugin you use)
Icon Theming for the OneUI launcher supported, as well as custom fonts
Pretty much all OS apps supported, also quite some third-parties
Basically works by compiling themes for the Samsung Themes engine which are then applied from there
Some features are paid (the prices are fair)
Substratum with Android R supporting themes

Probably well known but really underestimated. Also I feel like people put the "samsung bloat" label on these apps pretty quickly. But they are actually really well thought-out and working apps!
Good Lock is a free customization toolbox by Samsung for OneUI, consisting of multiple apps/modules that can be separately installed from the Samsung Store.
The modules allow for many different customizations in terms of lockscreen, homescreen, navbar, statusbar, clock face, and lots of more (not only visual aspects)

Personally, as soon as Swift Installer supports Samsung 11, I will be back with it as it provides the most convenient theming experience I've ever had. But for now, this is the best it gets, I think.
Hit thanks if any of this information was helpful!
Any questions? Leave a reply and I will try my best to help out.
Best regads,

I thought Substratum development got dead.
Also, what's so good about Swift Installer? Not available for my S21U.
And Hex Installer? It costs money but never tried it.
I use Nova Launcher. Far from perfect IMHO, but a lot better than stock Android. I like most icons in less space, I'm also an extreme Dark themes fanatic, I would prefer extreme high contrast with black and green where possible. I hate dark gray color, honestly.

Thanks!
Nice to know. I'll get it next month then.
Can I have an extreme AMOLED-theme experience? Minimalism, black as much as possible, use green for letters and other GUI stuff as much as possible too with coherent exceptions.
Kinda like a very modern reincarnation of a UNIX green phosphorus terminal.
A bit similar to 2008 Gmail Terminal theme when used in a desktop web browser, but A LOT better and hires.
Maybe I'm weird, but this gives me a lot less eye fatigue and able to use devices in a lot more comfortable way.

no you'll have to make it.
I think that I did something wrong because chosen theme is active only for 10 minutes. What I did:
1. Downloaded Shizuku, did everything is it is on the provided Hex Installer screens;
2. Downloaded Hex theme from PlayStore, applied: first applied the default theme, than opened Hexed+ theme and clicked on "Try it out". Notification pops out with info that theme is applied succesfully;
3. Opened Hex app, clicked on this robot pill:
- Hex ADB setup is ticked green;
- Hexed+ theme applied is ticked green;
- Custom theme state is ticked red. How to make it green?;
- Hex theme Mode is active;
- Add My Themes Shortcut is active, but nothing happens when I try to open #MyThemes app
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G without root.
Any ideas how to solve this and have a theme for more than 10 minutes?

I believe ur supposed to select the high contrast theme in order to make it stick. I had to do it about 5 times to make it ACTUALLY stick. but I've since updated my phone and kept the theme, and can also remove it. It by no means works everytime, but I have had by far the highest success rate with hex.
