Best cases for Huawei Mate 10 - Huawei Mate 10 Accessories

I've only ever had the Spigen case for the Mate 9 and it has protected the phone very well. I usually put a decal on the back to protect the phone from scratches.

Some advice about the case provided by Huawei with the phone ?
I'am waiting for my Mate 10 Pro and looking for a good case ...
This one looks great :

MSVII right ? I just ordered one,
another great option is Cafele, it has around same thickness and same material
for $3-4 bucks those two are pretty good deal,
used it previously on my S8, nice fit with excellent finish

I went for this one : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Huaw...hash=item21314d9100:m:my56SUhXYf46xbLVMd8r_fA

Thx, they both look nice !
Now I need to choose which one I prefer

Spigen. Though the design is a bit... eh, but it does the job well. I like it because it's thick enough.

Not exactly the MSVII. The one on the foto is the TopACE case but they are almost the same.

Yup.

I went for this:
CAFELE soft Case For huawei mate 10 TPU silicon Slim Protect Skin Rubber Ultra Thin Phone Cover

Will let you know when I get it.

do you think noreve worth the price?

I have the Top Ace ultra thin clear case on my Mocha Brown Mate 10. It's great - not bulky at all and shows off the lovely colour and glass back. There's a slight lip around the screen too. Was £6 from Amazon.
It's not too disimilar to the one in the box actually, though there is much more protection around the rear cameras.
I have also bought the brotect airglass screen protector (had one on my Mate 9 & U11) but am yet to fit it due to the nice glass protector already installed!

does this protect the sides and corner when the phone dropped on the floor?

I would say so yes. Sides and corners are fully covered, with good feedback on the buttons.
The corners aren't extra chunky or anything like on some cases, but it does the job for me.
I would have got the Spigen case if I had the black version as it was brilliant for my Mate 9. Though I wanted something transparent and a little thinner this time around.
Can't go wrong with this one!
(I had it for my U11 too as also wanted to show off the fancy back, just seems a shame to cover these beauties up!)

Purchased a bunch from Ali. First thing I did was cut out the plastic between the flash, camera and laser to expose the Leica branding.

I had a Noreve wallet style case for a previous phone (Nokia 1020). It is certainly expensive but the quality is very good. If you've got the dosh I'd say it's worth it. Good protection and looks great. Lots of choice on colours and materials but gets more expensive still when you go off the common colours or leather finishes.

Nillkin Frosted Shield Hardcase

i need something to protect my phone until my Slim Armor arrive so i bought the Nillkin Frosted Shield for ~$12 from a friend..
i've been using Nillkin products for my devices since the last 2 years and IMO it doesn't disappoint..
fits really well on my Int. D802.. it shares a similarity with Poetic Palette Slim Hard Case, but the main difference here is that the Frosted Shield had a rough textured back.
it really helps keeping the phone from sliding off and providing better grip..
also worth mentioning is a slightly raised lip along the side of the case that grips on the edge of the screen.. so it's safe to place the phone face down on a flat surface
all the ports are accessible and it doesn't interferes with the LED flash..
and don't forget, just like other Nillkin cases, it comes with a free clear screen protector (it's a bit too wide so it must be installed dead center)
i got the red version of the case.. it looks really good on my black G2 (pics are below)

the main benefits of this case are it's textured back and the price (you got a case and a screen protector for <$10)
you can find a bunch of this on amazon/ebay/etc as low as $7
but keep in mind that this thing won't make your G2 defy gravity..
Ordered a brown one for my D803.

Scary that bottom and top is exposed. Reminds me of the pictures of the dude who dropped it and cracked right at the bottom corner with feather case.
Just got my red one today. Looks pretty cool, but it's far from protective. I bought this one just for looks and scratch protection though. It's a bit slicker than I prefer though.

What I meant by that, is that it's not going to offer much protection in a drop. It's very slim and sleek and is a nice looking case. The grip on it improves over time. But the exposed corners offer no protection. I still use it quite often though.

I've bought Nillkin products and recommended them for some time, they offer the best bang for buck around when it comes to cases. I've bought this specific model, the rubbery hard plastic case, for the Oppo Find5, HTC One (M7), Galaxy S4, Xperia S and the G2. I always went with the black one and it was good. With the G2 I went with the white one to match my phone's color. Big mistake as a few weeks later it started to pick up color and eventually it turned pink. Nothing to complain on the fitting and build of the case. It is sturdy but it's not the best protection you can get.
I hope my insight can help you opt for other color besides the white case

Well as luck would have it....I dropped my phone today with the Nillkin case on. I flung my back pack overt my shoulder and forgot I had the phone in the side pocket. It flew out and slammed flat against the concrete edge.
I thought for sure it shattered my screen. It hit the ground and made a loud smack! I picked it up and cringed.
Just a few scuffs! Obviously they're where it smacked the concrete edge. The phone functions perfectly and had no marks at all. I got very lucky. Phew.

How it looks
I am a big fan of red and black so i want to get the red one but one question how red it is? Is it bright red or it is like pinkish looking? In the first photos with the black G2 it looks really red but in other photos is like pink...maybe depends on camera.
Can you help me with this? Thnks!

What cases is everyone using?

Exactly what the title asks.
This is not a thread for what you think is the best N5X case out there. This thread is for you to post what case/s you use and your experience with it.
It is also to help other users find new cases that they may like.

I purchased one of these. They fit perfectly and is the thinnest case that I can find. It's a matte finish so there's plenty of grip. My only gripe is the shipping time. It took roughly 2 weeks for delivery.

How's the grip on that case compared to the naked phone? It looks quite thin in the pictures which is what I'm looking for.

The grip is almost exactly like the naked phone. If I had to give it a scale from 1-10 (10 being naked phone grip) it would fall around 7-7.5.
Here's 2 pictures of the case on my phone. Sorry for the ****ty pic, It's a random camera I found in the office.

To add to the thread, I'm using the Diztronic case now that I've received the modified version with proper mic holes.
Case is fairly bulky as expected but their matte plastic is some of the best in the business and the grip is top notch.
I'm hoping to find an ultra thin case with little to no lip, such as the official LG made Hardshell (or Shield) case for the Nexus 5.

Will the thick TPU sides of the fusion bumper turn yellow over time? Because it's already hazy and murky in brand new condition. and you can easily notice the difference in clarity between the TPU sides and Polycarbonate back.

Hi, I have a silicon case and my past experience has been that such cases eventually form a yellow tint.
So will that yellow tint be visible on this case as well?
Or are Orzly cases immune to that? Would be disappointed if after paying a premium amount, I get the same quality.

I have an Orzly flexi case and no, they're not immune to the yellowing effect. In fact, if you turn on the torchlight, the whole case would illuminate in a golden yellow colour.
If you want a transparent case, I'd recommend a hybrid case like the Ringke Fusion. The polycarbonate back would be immune to yellowing and you can choose tinted TPU on the sides, since clear TPU yellows gradually.

Dear Panicos,
We have changes regarding CP+ today evening, the production department
notified us regarding editing the mold of CP+ for Oneplus 3, it'll be
available in 3-5 days.
Sadly we can't exactly tell what's going to be modified.
We can send you TPU case in separated parcel for now and if you're OK to
wait the result of reissued CP+, we can send it later or refund later.
There are also an option of H+ Pro glass (it's transparent).
Thanks for understanding and awaiting your reply,

i was just looking at ordering this one as well...
i wonder if the black edges cover actual display space like the OnePlus official one.

noticed that this same screen protector is a bit cheaper on eBay...
I have order from there site just to be sure that is the real one and if i have a problem i will deal with directly. About the display space they claim that is a perfect fit ,in anycase is much cheaper than the official and any other TG out there that cover the all screen and the adhesive is in the whole screen protector how worst it could be.
For me the equation is easy to explain with this new protector: screen with all curved edges + flat* tempered glass above = bad combination.
*The new versión, like the older, both are completely flat.
When, in his first tempered glass, they consider as "normal" the halo effect due to the curvatures of the screen ... that's not normal.
The only who fits to the characteristics of the screen is the official of OnePlus and it is because it is made in two parts integrated in one piece, tempered glass flat and a curved frame (not glass) that adapts to curved parts from the screen. For this reason it is more expensive (there are others more expensive and worse, like RhinoShield $24.99), is like to buy two protectors. The problem with the official of OnePlus is you will lose 0.9 millimeters on the sides of the screen.
So, after having spent a lot of money in bad protectors, expensive and cheap, of premium brands and unknown ones (including the first Nillkin, I consider a great brand) I think by now I can live with the limitations of the official of OnePlus, by the way, it fits like a glove.
Any advise of a good screen protector?
I got the same udpate from nillkin, 3-5 days of delay. I hope it's good, will report once I will receive it.
One of the local resellers here in ph got it. I'll be getting 1 next week.

Can you make a review? And post some photos with glass on OP3? It's thick? The lateral frame blocks the screen? Dot matrix? Glue on all surface?
I'll post an update when it comes.

Do you know if the one you're getting is the v2, this pic could likely be v1 since production of v2 started sometime this week according to Nillkin

The 2.5D one works fine with cases, but be aware that the H Pro series do not stick well on the edges, if you read the end of the item descriptions you will see that they specify this. I ended up taking it off, because it looked bad, but every case I had worked fine.
The CP+ does not have this issue from what I see.

wonder if it has 'glue' in the screen area and not just around it, so it will prevent touch issues.
does it have any issues putting it with cases? and also wonder if it doesnt have that pixels / rainbow effect

It has glue as far as I know, and no rainbow. Just check it on YouTube.

So you are recommending the Nillkin CP+ 2.5D? I want to use it with Neo Hybrid Case.
Found it here -https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For-oneplus-3-full-cover-glass-Nillkin-Amazing-CP-Anti-Explose-oneplus-3-screen-protector-2/32720417545.html?

FOUND! Thin Case with CAMERA PROTECTION

Was using the Samsung OEM silicone case but wanted something that was just as slim but also covered the camera glass because it's so big and pops out. Found this $9 case on Amazon. It has front raised lips for drop protection (minimal) and is actually even slimmer than the Samsung case so it feels like it's barely there. Unblock glossy TPU, it is matte black which I also prefer. I have a video of it here next to the official Samsung one: https://youtu.be/fMflVeSzkwU
I just ordered one...I'll let you know how I like it on Wednesday
Looks good. Wish it came with more color options though..
Good luck with the 3rd mic working properly in that case, though.

But most if not all the cases cover the microphone making it useless?

Not all. I have the ESR Tough Alliance, the Ringke X Fusion and Ringke Air-S. The Ringke cases have some 2mm of space between the camera bump. These cases do not cover the mic. The ESR cases are particularly better for its slanted sides on the camera mic side. It captures audio from the slanted side more effectively.
The Moment thin case is very nice and I think it is what you are looking for. I have it along with several Spigen cases.

You can download the user guide. It's there on page 12.
I went with a case with a sliding cover. By my standards I find the case pretty thin, but I typically go with really rugged cases, so my case thickness standards may differ from yours.

3rd mike useless outside of "scumbag" mode!
BUT! The camera glass shouldn't be covered like that.
Just as you should never put a runner over carpet!
Over time when you think you are protecting what's underneath you will find you're doing far more damage.
Why? Dirt gets underneath and will abrade the hell out of the glass.
I'll take my chances, sorry.
Ditto for screen. Can't stand having protectors over screens, ESPECIALLY curved screens. And too, they literally wreck the FP reader action.
JMHO, of course.

I ordered the version of this case with the built in ring stand on the back. Not only are you totally right about the danger of the camera glass getting scratched, but the entire case had no interior protection material to keep grit or dust from scuffing up the phone itself over time. It also didn't fit snug enough to make this issue moot. Immediately returned....
I ordered the LATERCASE its thin but still covers the camera Bump, has been shipped and my note 20 ultra won`t be delivered until the 19th so we`ll see how it goes.

Aliexpress for a cheaper price. Be ready for a long delivery period though of at least a month if not more.
