Name of app that plays motion photo - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

Does anyone know? I have a bunch of apps disabled, and cannot figure out which one plays them. Anyone have a clue?

It may be the "Animated photo" mode in the camera app.

looking for a screen recording app

I am trying to create a let's play video on several games and I don't want to use my camcoder. I already know that there are screen capture apps out there and I was wondering if someone could create an app that recoreds audio from my G1 microphone and it records what ever is on my screen.

Can you suggest a better gallery viewer

i dont like the way the standard gallery app shows my files. For instance all the videos are there with thumbnails but no title so some times its hard to see which video is which. When i play the video it brings the title up and i can see what its called but i would like to see a title when looking in the gallery.
Can anyone suggest a way around this or is there a better gallery app in the market that will show my photos and videos with a title.
Thanks

Unlike the stock app this one actually shows your images at their full quality and resolution. o you can zoom into photos.
For browsing videos just open the video player. Maybe you will like mVideoPlayer over the stock app, although it doesn't do 5.1 sound: http://www.appbrain.com/app/afzkl.development.mVideoPlayer

[Q] Camera Having to Rescan Media?

Anyone else annoyed by this? When I take photos with the default 2.2 camera app, they don't show up in the gallery. I have to install and run the "rescan media root" application. Kind of annoying when you want to share a photo quickly.
This problem is especially bad with the Camera Magic application, which is a great little free app, and has a gallery button, but never shows the pictures in the gallery until I have run rescan media root.
Please move to Q&A if you want, I thought this forum was the best place for this.

The default camera shouldnt be doing that. The 3rd party camera on the other hand... only real solution to that would be write the app devs.

[Q] Timeshift video

Hi, I'm not sure why and since when but my timeshift video (the slow motion camera add-on) is not working properly.
When I finish recording the video it simply saves the 120f video without letting me choosing the part I want to slow.
It's like capturing regular video but in 120f.
I searched for the apk installed maybe to clear data but found out there is no app installed on my device called that (I only have timeshift burst, not video)
Do you guys have timeshift video apk installed on your device? if so do you mind uploading it? maybe it will fix it..
If not, does anyone have a guess what might causes this and how to fix it?
Thanks alot,
Jordan.
On 5.1.1 I was having the same problem until I found out the app called "Video Editor" (the icon is orange movie clipboard thingy) is REQUIRED to edit and save edited video.
Mine was disabled in settings by me, so see if you did the same. If yes, enable the app back and I'm pretty sure you'll have timeshift video working again.
way to go man! indeed a solution!

Stop Autofocus during Videos with stock Camera app?

Has anyone found a way to stop the ridiculous autofocus hunting/pumping in video mode?
I guess I could use another camera app but the stock one is the only one to offer OZO audio.
Thanks!
Anyone ?
Id appreciate it too, there should be a fixed focus option.
Yep, or at the very least the AF should be deactivated if you tap once to focus on a specific area.
