Anyone know how to import or change the Samsung Emojis to the new iPhone 11.1 Emojis that consist of the swearing Emoji etc. I have the Emoji changer app on my rooted note 8 and been currently using iPhone Emojis. I was wondering if there's a way to get the new ones now or do I have to wait till the developer of the app updates it to support the new Emojis. I know it's a stupid question but I really want that swear Emoji ?
I don't want to root my note 8 but I hate the Samsung emojis. Especially the roll eyes emoji.. It looks like a smirk

Hi, may I request for a detailed guide to flash?
Is it
1. Install Odin to download mode note 8
2. Load file into Odin and run
3. Reboot
Scary haha. Thank you!
---------- Post added at 02:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:57 AM ----------
Will it know which files to overwrite or do I have to specify somehow in Odin...
I just did this on my rooted Galaxy Note 4:
• ES File Explorer > Settings > Root Explorer: ON
/ device
system > fonts > TAP and hold on NotoColorEmoji.ttf to be able to rename it to NotoColorEmoji.ttf.backup
Paste new (downloaded) emoji file NotoColorEmoji.ttf here > ES File Explorer > Settings > Root Explorer: OFF > Reboot.
• FX File Explorer can also be used instead of ES File Explorer
FX File Explorer > System (Root) [Regular File Explorer cannot be used for this] > Settings > Mount Read-Write > I understand the risk > OK >
Remember to unmount Read-Write when finished.
Thanks, but my note isn't rooted. And unless I misunderstood, it can be done one unrooted phone..so I'm hoping to give it a try... thanks

Hello
A quick question about flash in Odin.
If I understood correctly :
1 / We start his phone in download mode
2 / We start odin and connect the phone to the PC
3 / We load the Emojis file to flash in Odin
We flash
My question is in which part to load the file in Odin:
BL? AP? CP?
Thank you in advance.

These files i built are for custom recovery TWRP not Odin.(root only)
The only way to change emoji without root is to use an overlay. You can build your own or use one that's part of a Substratum theme.
This theme here has an iOS emojis overlay.

SOC is outdated
use step one of my guide here to flash ANY rom youd like

or continue with steps to flash ICS
theyre really easy explained steps
you shouldnt have any confusion in doing it
hope it helps
(Flashing that file on my post with Odin will give you stock rooted GB with non market apps enabled.... but who wants GB when there is ICS xD)

step to enable non market apps
1. root the device with soc
2. install es file explorer give it root
3. go to /dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.setting/databases from there copy setting.db to your sd card
4. mount sdcard to the pc
5. then open setting.db file with any sqlite editor software on pc
6. search for the name "install_non_market_apps" change its value from '0' to '1'
7. copy the edited file to its original location
you are done now you can install apps from outside market
(note: no option will appear in the settings but you can install apps)
Seems like a lot of work for something that is officially not an issue...
Update your os...you're on an old stock ROM, I'm guessing 2.2 kb1.
Gingerbread is available officially now, and has this option added back into the settings like it should have been all along. No need to even root if you don't wanna...
Just my couple of pennies.

Yeah, and official GB is only about a thousand times smoother than stock KB1 or JF6.
Requires Root
Requires ADB
Requires USB Debugging to be enabled
Make sure you backup!
APPS AND PROGRAMS (WINDOWS):
Root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2480429
Install Google Play Apps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477702
Google Play apps needed:
- SuperSU or SuperUser
- Busybox
ADB File Explorer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1772338
DOWNLOAD:
Modded camera: AMII firmware (original apk is in Restore folder)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Root your device
2. Install SuperSU or SuperUser and Busybox via Wondershare MobileGo
3. Use Droid Manager (Start Device Manager -> File Manager) and browse to /system/media/audio/ui
4. Create a new folder (Right click -> New -> New Folder)
5. Right click any sound file (you can ctrl+select multiple files) you do not want and select Move -> Move
6. Go into the folder you created and right click -> Move -> Paste
7. Open Windows explorer and copy apk
8. Paste into /sdcard/download
9. Move into /system/app (it will overwrite with no warning)
Note: keep an eye on the watch as it will popup a few times with messages (eg. grant root, grant adb access)
Media files to delete/rename/move (/system/media/audio/ui):
Auto_focus.ogg
Cam_Start.ogg
Cam_Stop.ogg
Shutter.ogg
I tried to make it as easy as I could for all of you
Alternatively, you can use root explorer and Google keyboard to move/rename/delete on your watch itself
Alternative Solutions:
- Hold finger over speaker

Sounds like you have a permissions problem? Do you have root? Perhaps try replacing on device with root browser (or similar)
I made a new thread cause the other are a bit in disorder.
TizenMod 3.0:
Features:
- Based on the last NE5 FW;
- rooted;
- battery saving script;
- removed camera sounds;
- added Android L fonts;
- added the support for custom icon theme;
- added the support for custom fonts, ringtones, alarms ecc.
- added the support for set the max cpu freq and governor ( don't use for now... i need to change the script that control the clock spee );
...but the most important thing
- bypassed Samsung protection! By now, all the people that haven't a compatible phone or simply a not Samsung phone, can install every app. Just put the apk on your phone and install it manually. In 3rd post i will explain how to MOD the original apks.
HOW TO INSTALL:
IMPORTANT: Update your gear to the NE5 FW before flash!
1- Reboot gear in download mode;
2- Download Odin 3.09
3- in AP field select the ROM file;
4- Press start and wait till finish.
DOWNLOAD
Donation Link
HOWTO:
In order to use all the customization options you need to use sdb:
1- enable USB debug in the watch settings;
2- connect the watch to the PC and open a shell
3- navigate to the folder where u put the sdb binary and then:
Code:
sdb root on
Code:
sdb shell
...now you are in the gear shell, so:
setup folders with:
Code:
setup-folder.sh
...this script create some folders on your gear mass-memory, accessible from windows or linux, just copy your ringtones, alarms, alerts, fonts into the relative folders.
- The custom boot and shutdown animations must be copy into the root and must be renamed to poweron.edj and poweroff.edj
- The icons must be renamed like the ones u find in the simple theme attached at this post ( take care of the size);
...then do these commands to install your stuff:
Code:
install-ringtones.sh
Code:
install-alarms.sh
Code:
install-alert.sh
Code:
install-shutdownanimation.sh
Code:
install-bootanimation.sh
Code:
install-theme.sh
Code:
install-fonts.sh
HERE you can find a theme pack. Inside there're some folder of stock icons colored in different way.
Just copy all the png's inside the "theme" folder in the memory of your gear and run the script install-theme.sh.
HOW TO MOD THE APKS IN ORDER TO WORK WITH MY ROM:
1- Bring the apk ( you can also install via Samsung App Store and copy the apk with a root browser from /data/app/);
2- pull the wgt file that are inside the assets folder;
3- import in tizen SDk and remove the signature;
4- always in Tizen SDK rebuild the wgt with the test signature;
5- put the wgt u have created in the step above inside the apk ( you have to copy it over the original);
6- sign the APK.
This might seem a bit complicated but i will upload a video to explain better. It's more easy as it appears.
Here's a video

thank's friend i can confirm that's working with my asus minipadfone. Naturally i cant buy o download from store but now i can install apk.
No freeze for the moment (with app i see a larger battery decrease on the phone)
Is there a way to have the Gear 2 Neo sync (all I need is time and date) with an iPhone? Does this ROM allow it?
This is really awesome! First thing I've noticed is the battery life. I'm using a non-Samsung rooted phone and before, my gear 2 Neo would only last 6-10 hours. Now I can see the battery usage decrease very slowly and I guess it will last around 3 days or more.
Will I be able to use watch styler?
This seems really promising...
I just want watch styler to work, i mean to show up in the Galaxy gear app and be able to change the watch face. (cos thats the reason i purchased the gear 2 neo)
I dont want to change any ringtone or do any other stuff...
Just want to use the Watch Styler....
Will it work???

Install a launcher, Nova or Apex both work. Add a shortcut (system shortcut not apps) choose a setting short cut and look for Drive Mode. It also gives you the option to use Download Booster. Which AT&T has removed.
The drive mode is present in your phone, its only hidden cuz they want you to use their AT&T drive mode. Samsung one still exists! Hope this helps.

Okay, here are the files from the /system/ directory of my own S5. Mine is the Sprint variant, however I'm confident that they're the same...
You CAN NOT flash this .zip in recovery, you must extract the contents and copy to the appropriate directories in the system partition.
Remember after you put them there, you must change the permissions for the folders and the files:

No, you dont do that....
you do exactly what i explained....
download the .zip,
extract the contents to SD Card, (or ANY Download folder),
Once extracted, you will have simple directory, starting with "system/",
[ Now, you simply go thru the folders, and copy them from where you extracted them and paste into same folders in your phonephone's "system/" partition....]
Basically;
if you copy it from /system/app/DriveLink/DriveLink.apk on your SD Card,
Then you paste it to /system/app/DriveLink/DriveLink.apk on your phone...
Change permissions as i indicated earlier, as you copy each one,
When all are done, reboot. ..
[While booting back up a message will say something like
"Optimizing Application 1 of 3..."
thats a good sign that you did it right. ...]

Hi, thanks for the explanation, but I'm really new at this, and I need this application.
I do not understand, "Change permissions as I indicated earlier, as each copy"
that you mean this?, the only thing I see is that button "r-w and r-o" or you mean super user permissions?
------------read---------write---------execute
---owner--x-------------- x--------------
----group--x--------------x-------------
----Other--x------------- x------------
----set uid-----------set gid-------r sticky
hello ... when given permission to DriveLink, and drivelinkremote,
at 2 give them permission, but I did this to see if this well in owner, group, others, check all run.
restart, and indeed was installed when lit, but when I want to open, do not find in menu, and the car mode toggle of the active,
I get that you can not open out "car stopped mode"
Do you mean that the app is force-closing when it tries to open after toggling the 'car mode' quicksetting?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900AZ using Tapatalk
okay, hopefully this will answer any questions you have had or would have had...
I know its a little messy, but bear with me, I've never done a Screen Recording before...
Just read the instructions i posted above, watch the videos, and if you still dont get it, read and watch again...
remember to put things in the same folder paths you pull the from (the main difference between the two videos), etc...
Once all are done, reboot....

HI !
For those who want their Axon7 G stock (rooted & unlocked) to be fully (almost) stripped of bloatware or other unwanted apps, I uploaded my SLIM ROM (ad-free + SuperSU). Nothing fancy, just cleaned and ready to use.
It’s fully functional and tested for some time now. Smooth, no bugs.
From this basic, almost clean version you can simply add from scratch your favorite browser, keyboard or other stuff without being messed up with unnecessary (double) applications. Some basic apps like the file manager, calender and alarm are replaced (see info) because standard in-builts are not that great
AdAway + SuperSu added.
I hope you’ll E N J O Y !!!
Based on :
A2017G Nougat B05 “Spain” stock ROM : 5.02GB extracted
Stripped my A2017G_N_B05_stocksystem_by_raystef66 to SLIM version : 3.89GB extracted

4. Install : A2017G-N-B05-slim : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=889764386195923534
5. Reboot
6. Done ! No more no less :cyclops:
AFTER INSTALL :
1. Go into Adaway/give root permission/download files etc. and update DONE!
2. Go into ES File Explorer/settings/check ROOT/tab ROOT again and give R/W to ALL. DONE!

Excellent. Thank you for your contribution!
Can I update to this if I'm on 6.0.1 build GV1.0.0B10?
Can u use magisk? Dont like Supersu..
This is getting really close to my ideal rom, I like LOS but not prepared to lose daydream, camera and audio performance.
Is it possible to do a rom like the old google play edition phones, where you get all the stock features and keep zte camera app but get googles dialer, pixel launcher etc...?

If you're rooted unlocked you can. But to be sure update to B01 and B02 bootstack/stocksystem. If you prefer update to B05 bootstack/stocksystem and then flash this one. Follow guides : https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/stock-rom-a2017g-twrp-flashable-images-t3599069

I already worked with Magisk and everyone has it's preference.
If you like to convert it,replace SuperSu with Magisk in ROM, rewrite the updater-script and repack again. Flash and done !

Everything is possible but everyone has it's own preferences. An ideal ROM doesn't exist. That's why i made this one to build it further with your needs.

EASY METHOD ( instead of me uploading another version again ) :
For those who want to replace SuperSU with the latest Magiskv13.3 (stable) :
1. Download latest here (http://tiny.cc/latestmagisk) and put it on ext.SD
2. go into SuperSU app (#) and scroll down to 'Fully Unroot'
3. Tab it and tab YES when asking to replace boot.img
4. As soon as it starts to run and you get a first black screen : hold VOL+ and Power as to go into TWRP (so don't let it boot normaly, just go into TWRP !)
5. once in TWRP flash Magiskv13.3
6. Done !
I tested it by installing a module and no problem so far...
Can someone upload me the build.prop? I messed my up :/

Yes you can delete system/app/whatever with es file explorer. I did the test.
Just give ES root permission.
You don't need disemmcpwp command or whatever to delete something in root of phone.
Edit : in my experience SuperSU is more reliable than Magisk as it comes to altering system stuff. Supersu does it flawless as Magisk in some way has difficulties with root explorers. That's my opinion
Thank you for removing this ZTE Apps and replacing with original Google Apps !!!
How about the battery life? Can anyone post prints?
Thanks

With Magisk there is a problem when deleting folders.
But editing and deleting single files is working fine.
Just a hint from my experiences.

Same for me, rename files works, delete not. 'Read-only file system' notification.
I "must" use Magisk because of Xposed. Maybe it would work with SuperSU, but i deleted some apps in the zip before, so i cleaned it myself before flashing.
What about adding some nice mods?
- Extended Power Menu (this version: click)
- Center Clock in Statusbar
- "conservative" war mod
(Thats what i added to your ROM)
I would like to help you, but i dont know how.

That's why i made this STOCK B05 clean ánd with the SuperSU. As you both acknowledge, with SuperSU there are no problems at all to modify, delete, ..or whatever in root's phone. Magisk doesn't it for a full 100% as SuperSU does. On the contrary when you want the benefits of Magisk which SuperSU does not quit offer, flash Magisk in a minute and you're done. So people can choose to their benefit
Adding mods like you propose are more then OK but this would mean it's not that STOCK anymore you know. I can add these mods but it will be another ROM. So in general, everyone has its own wishes but as said, i just uploaded this one as it is as far as i know the 'cleanest' one.
Hi, thanks for this Rom, but i'm not able to flash magisk. When uninstall supersu inside the supersu app, i cannot restore stock boot.img.

You're welcome
Normally when you follow my procedure here it should/would work. I've done it a couple of times to test. You'll have to vol+/power immediately after when it wants to reboot on a black screen, hold both buttons till ZTE logo pups-up and then release. Enther in TWRP and flash Magiskv13.3.
Should work
