Samsung says my motherboard has a problem. They want me to pay at least $100 to repair it. Where I can buy a cheaper one?
If the phone is still in warranty, they should replace the MB for free

What are the chances I get a spen in my warranty replacement Note 4?

Had to send in my note 4 for a warranty replacement and forgot to take out the spen. What are the chances the replacement device has a spen? Or should I just order another now?
It'll come with one.
I just got my note 4 warranty replaced and the one I got in the mail did not come with an s pen, I have the tmobile note 4
same here, just received a warranty replacement and it is barebone. Just the phone with no back cover, battery, or Spen.
When I did the insurance claim, it came with all of the accessories.
I got lucky. I got mine replaced back in may and got a brand new one with a new spen, battery and charger.
Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Free mobile app
Phone came back bare bone. I ordered another s pen.

Dos the Note 3 have any value if the screen breaks?

The replacement screen on this phone is so expensive - Generic chinese replacements are over $100. OEM LCDs on ebay can be $150 and that's just for the part. Samsung did not offer a Marshmallow update and I see Note 4s for around $200 on up (conditions vary of course) which means that our Note 3 is worth less than $200. I don't understand why part prices don't go down. Who is going to buy these screens?
Would you toss your Note 3 if the screen broke?
Personally, I would try and find someone selling a used note 3 with damage internals and a working screen.
Don't think the note 3 with a busted screen would be worth much.

Bought Note 5 on eBay - real or fake?

Hello everyone,
After using Windows phone for several years I decided to switch back to Android and picked up a used Note 5 from eBay. But I am not 100% sure if this is a real Note 5 or a clone/fake one and need some advise.
The seller states that this is an unlocked Verizon/GSM model but does not reveal too much information in the listing or via PMs with me. He confirmed that this is a 64gb Verizon model and is in good condition, so I took a plunge and bought it. The phone should arrive some time this week or next week and I will get a better idea about it and will definitely return it if it is not real.
What seems strange to me is that there is no Verizon logo on the back side, only Samsung and Note 5. I thought that all phones that are Verizon-CDMA enabled should carry the Verizon brand on the back side, am I wrong?
Here the pictures of the phone I bought and the link to the auction from eBay. Any possible suggestions if this is a real Note 5? Thanks.

Could be a phone that had the back glass cracked and was replaced. just a thought.
I actually thought the same thing but it is unlikely. Someone from another forum suggested that it was normal and Samsung stopped slapping the carrier logos on newer models. There is a photo of the Verizon Note 5 on Samsung site that looks like the one I got. Will see when it arrives.
i bought a note 5 from Ebay recently, everything worked good except my signal/ GPS is spotty no matter what rom I flash to include stock.
