After MIUI update notifications gone wrong - Xiaomi Redmi 4X Questions & Answers

Hi, today I was asked for MIUI update, which I updated, and regretted for that after.
My WhatsApp notifications gone wrong: sound doesn't work (I checked everything many times),and also floating notifications (which I hate and always turn them off) started annoying me. They are off on settings.
Does anyone have this issue after today's update?

Weather forcast notification randomly started, can't get rid of

I've had my S6 edge for almost a month now and all of a sudden a few days ago it started popping up with a notification every morning from the weather app with the forecast which is driving me crazy, I checked the settings inside the app when I click on it from the notification and every thing is turned off yet it still keeps coming up, and annoying you can't disable it in the apps management or even turn off notifications from it, does anyone know how to get it stop coming up?
EDIT: never mind, just saw we finally have a working root for the phone so rooted it and removed the app, so hopefully problem solved
If its comming from the Samsung weather app. Disable (or remove if your rooted) weather deamon

Anyone has Notification vibration problem?

I'm using Galaxy S6 Active in Korea
Of course, i unlocked, and updated to 5.1.1
(i used 5.0 just few days, i can't remember how long did it maintain)
Now my phone seems to treat the vibrate profile as silent.
text message vibrations is Okay(i'm using google messenger, not basic sms app, not google hangout)
But, Call notification,FB,Gmail....and so on, all of feature which has vibration noti feature do not work now.
Actually i already did device reset once. at that time, i could get vibration notification.
but few days later, back to present state.
i googled, and i got some people who were experienced like me.
but they said various opinions about this problem such as battery saving mode, 5.1.1 updating...etc.
plus no oned replied "i fix it!"
I constantly use the vibrate profile and this is very problematic not having the phone actually vibrate because I am missing notifications a lot now.
Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix this?
plz give me your comment
I read, I think on Android central, that this occurs when power saving mode is on after updating to 5.1.1. This didn't happen on the previous software.

Moto G6 notifications during sleep

Got my moto g6 amazon exclusive model a few days ago. I started to notice while the phone was just sitting on my desk and gone to sleep / doze? my notifications were not coming through (around 5-10 mins after screen off). Any notifications within that time would be fine. After that if I had any new notifications, I would get them all in one go after I turned the screen on or moved my phone with moto display. (I turned off the motion sensor feature)
Just trying to get an understanding of whats going on. I have played around with some settings and currently seem to have got it back to normal by setting all my important apps (gmail/whatsapp/twitter...) to not be battery optimised. I also found some notification setting elsewhere that gave the default launcher permissions. I used nova launcher so I gave that permission too just in case, but I think the main fix was battery optimisation.
Just find it odd that I have never had to go into battery optimisation before on my previous phones (nexus 4, wileyfox swift) and notifications have come through fine after long periods of time in sleep mode.
Anyone able to suggest something else that may be causing this, or I could try. I wouldnt have noticed this problem if it wasnt for being at my PC and seeing new emails/fb messages coming in and not getting notification on my phone after the phone had gone into sleep.
-------------
As of typing this I recieved an email that also did not notify on my phone. Only when I picked up the phone I got it instantly. Battery optimisation for apps may not have worked.
Hi,
Could you solve this issue? If so, how?
Thanks.
I had the same issue a few weeks ago after playing around and disabling apps/services I didn't think i needed . I had to re-enable the "Moto" app, go into "Moto Display" and enable "Peek Dsiplay". That fixed notifications coming through the locked screen for me.

Samsung Note 8 - individual apps losing notification sound reference

Phone: dual sim Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N9500) running Android 8.0
Does anyone get individual apps losing their notification sound setting? Recently my Twitter app stopped making audible notifications and when I checked, I found that the notification sound was set to "24270" which is not in my sounds list. This last happened to the default SMS app. Any ideas as to a) why this happened and b) is it possible to globally reset sound notifications?
TIA
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I've noticed that my N950F doesn't always play Whatsapp notification tones, although I see the LED and notification bar. Rebooting the phone, works for a few hours.
I found this was a problem for a long time, but after doing a factory reset and installing Pie it's all working again. I also had issues with the notification LED that are gone now.
I had the same probleme since pie-update with just one of some chats in telegram. Only one was set to "silense" over night. I had tried first to exclude it from accu-optimization. Next day it was the same, same chat in telegram was set to silence. Now i tried the "apps in standby" under battery->.../settings->apps in standby. If there is your "problem"-app showing up, then delete it from that list withe delete in the right top corner. that solved it for myself, since 2 days now no silnce anymore.
Yeah, make sure any apps you want notifications from are not blocked from using battery or background data in the app settings.
It is probably a software conflict. Try wiping the Cache Partition in Recovery Mode. If that doesn't work backup the data stored on your device and perform a hard factory reset.

I have the same issue with Whatsapp, sometimes, but mine seems to fix itself again after a while. I'm using a modded version of Whatsapp and I just chalked it up to be an issue with that. It's interesting to note the problems other people are having.

Background app refresh issues

I use Newton mail like I have on every other phone I have used for the last few years and have seen some issues since I got the Find X5 Pro. Initially I was getting no notifications through despite notifications being enabled and all background settings toggled on under settings, I'd have to open the app and when I did it would refresh and the emails would load. Then after a reinstal and restart it started to work.
Today it stopped working again out of the blue and when I checked settings the background refresh toggles had changed to off, I toggled them back on and emails started to come through again.
No idea if any other apps are affected, certainly no key ones are but I have not had issues like this since I used a Huawei.
Anybody else experiened this?
Hey, I've noticed the same issue with Gmail, and Kijiji app. Did you find a solution or work-around?
I toggled the settings back on and it seems ok again. Unsure why they turned off as for the original issue with no notifications even though background refresh was on I reinstalled the app and restarted phone.
