Already know the differences in hardware for these 2 models. Just wondering if there any differences in software (Samsung software or non-Samsung) between N950FD & N9500 as well? I looked everywhere online and can't seem find any info.
i read that Samsung-Pay may be different. Is there anything else?
Thanks a million for all your replies.
If there is an hardware difference, of course there also is a software difference.
The kernel is different (and maybe some hardware drivers)! Your phone don't will boot if you flash the wrong firmware.

Hi!
I'm having some problems with my signal, and I think it might be due to the baseband.
I live in Spain but I've bought a retde moto x on amazon, so I'm wondering, if I convert my retde to retEU (the version sold in Spain), could I have a better signal? And, is this even possible without bricking my phone?
Thank you all

"Even though these phones are not carrier branded they are still "tuned" for regions used. The DE phone is designed for Germany and if you live in Germany this would be your best bet.
Remember the carrier networks are still regulated by individual country - and the phones have to confirm to the gov't and carrier requirements. Things like network switching and fast dormancy requirements are different and could impact battery life.
I am sure there are differences in firmware - they would all be EU if not - no reason to name files different if the same. As for the phone differences - we don't have that information here. You should be able to find the regulatory body for each country and look up SAR values.
I would also add that there could be differences in software due to patent issues - and maybe the software has different components to avoid patent disputes.
As I mentioned at the beginning - you should buy the phone that is official for your region. If you save a few $$$ buying a different version then you may face interoperability issues. Yes GSM should work everywhere - but as someone that travels, I know that when I go to another network, all features may not work they way they do on my home network. "

Yes you can flash eu firmware. But considering you are in spain, I would recommend flashing the spain firmware retES instead:

I'm assuming if you did convert the phone, even from retDE to retEU, you would not be able to receive the "official" OTAs via the standard update process? Or is this not the case?

That is incorrect. He will be able to receive the official updates. However he will receive the retES updates instead of the retDE updates.

So, what are the differences for Customized_XX firmwares? Still waiting for Customized_DE but i don't even know if there's any version to the french or italian version tbh. Can't find anything online about this. Would be great if anyone knows if there are any differences or if they're essentially the same thing.
My phone came with nordic. Flashed the singapore fw when it came out nd only difference ive seen is that it comes preloaded with the amazon app.

Yes im running Singapore too. Its clean. Working fine here in Sweden. I guess its contains country specific bloatware perhaps. Havent any in Singapore version..
Im guessing...
I flashed the russian (RU UA KZ BY) version. Its R7C which should be the most up to rate basically and they usually get updates quite fast. I don't know if LTE channels can be unsupported by firmwares but that was another fear since we use different LTE channels here in germany than phones in asia. So far everything fine, it's fast and got some nice changes, let's hope my wifi problems won't come back. Pretty satisfied with Pie for now.
Has anyone seen any official statement regarding number of SIM cards supported?
It seems like Nokia hasn't released any info on this, which makes me suspect they are holding Dual-SIM support for it's successor.
I've went to the store and it looks like it's DualSim

Does it have expandable memory?

Thank you for reply. After reading your reply, I realized that I posted on wrong thread.
I asked Nokia UK over chat yesterday and the UK model is only going to be single SIM. Hasn't stopped me from ordering though!! [emoji16]

I can have it the 15th march here in Belgium. But it's a long wait. I can have an S10 for 650 with the earbuds on my carier. That's only 50 more than the Pureview.
Mine is single sim. I got the US version at Best Buy on March 1. The tray looks like it should be dual sim, but there's only one actual sim slot. The rest is solid plastic.
Mine has dual SIM (and it's working).

Which model is yours and where did you buy it from?
Can you upload a picture of the box showing the model no? TA1082 or TA1094 etc.

1082 is single sim, so he must have the international model if it's dual sim. I haven't seen anything about either model being dual sim, but I know for sure that the 1082 is single sim.

Exactly. I haven't heard of a dual sim launching anywhere. Maybe @rivmin can throw some light on to this topic.
Just watched a review of a TA1087, dual SIM version from Sweden. This, while I await my TA1082. It could well be the first one in India. I am super excited to have mine!
Mine is TA-1087 and Dual SIM.
Location: Finland.
Nokia 9 PureView at least, three variants of this phone:
A simple SIM model (TA-1082), which will probably be limited to the USA.
A variant of Android One (TA-1087) with dual SIM support. (The one that is sold in my country Spain (en castellano España con Ñ))
Another version of double SIM (TA-1094) without Android One, exclusively for China.
Looking to update my locked S8+ to the Note9. I use ATT and will be planning on purchasing a North America model. However, since this is a GSM provider that I will be using it with, I'm trying to find the best model to allow root and various tweaks along with changing roms.
I've taken a good look at this thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/help/note9-model-compatible-t3934795 but unable to make a clear decision before buying.
Any advice before purchase?

Difference between models?? A3000, A3003, and A3010
We're looking to get 4 of these off Ebay. Currently waiting for the seller to tell me what model they are. We will most likely root all of them. Are there any real differences? Located Midwest United States.
The only real difference between them is in what bands are unlocked/useable, this is stored in an encrypted partition on the device and can't easilly (if at all) be permanently unlocked. I guess it has to do with regional restrictions in countries.
