I forgot to make a backup of the file before messing with it. I think the permissions are the same as generic.kl, which is -rw-r--r--, but I'm not sure. Every other file looks like this is the case. Thank you.
I hope anyone else messing with a S5 from AT&T also finds a raw copy of the file useful since I couldn't find it anywhere on the net.

Please correct me if I am mistaken here. But, I think that AT&T took out the MP3 Trimmer program on the Fuze because I can't find it anywhere on mine. Does anyone have this on theirs? Where can I download this program and how can I install this? Thanks!

Just copy it to your phone and run it. (Double-click in File Explorer) Once it's installed, it will show up in your programs group.
Which folder do I have to put it in. Does it have to be a specific folder? Thanks again.

No, you can put the cab file anywhere. When you run it, it will install the program in the correct place.
I ran the setup xml file via opera using the file explorer on the phone and nothing is happening. Am I doing something wrong here?

Don't extract CAB's content by WinRAR or similar. Just copy the CAB file to your phone and run it from File Explorer on your mobile.

I just installed on my touch pro but will not start. i see the colored circle for 2 seconds and then everything back as before.
Hey,
Not sure if its the right section, but flashing themes is what got me to make this script in first place.
So this script essentially works like :
You drag/drop a theme update.zip onto it.
It then goes through the .zip and see's what its replacing.
Then from your phone it'll backup those files into a cwm flashable .zip
[Windows Only][Only backs up system partition content that .zip replaces]
Instructions :
Download this
Extract [To a directory whose path has no spaces or wierd characters]
Drag a theme update.zip onto UpdateBacker.bat
Follow through
Main purpose is so you have a backup incase of those theme flashes that ended up screwing things up.
Note : This is beta, i have only tested on mine.
Hope it works lol.
Updates :
Added adb/java check
Added push to sdcard
EDIT: The entire contents of the unzipped folder need to be inside the tools section of your sdk for the .bat to work.
This is a great little tool. First try for me worked flawlessly.
I'm on a Samsung Captivate if it makes any difference.

Hey.
Yea forgot to say adb/sdk has to be in path.
Glad u got it working.
If this is like any of your other scripts it'll be a God send. I'll give this a try when I get home.
Thanks.

Ur too kind.
Let me know if it works. If people like/use this then i will keep updating and adding features.
Tried this last night and it worked perfect. I backed up my current theme then applied a bunch of corrupt .9's resulting in force close city. Applied the backup and everything returned to as it was.
Top marks once again.
How about an option to backup to flash.zip or a Metamorph file, would this be possible?

Cool glad it worked for you.
Not sure what you mean by flash.zip, it already creates a flashable update.zip. Unless ur referring to renaming it to something else ?
As for metamorph, perhaps but id imagine it might be tricky.
Sorry, I meant an option to choose between exporting to zip or metamorph.
I thought a metamorph option might be a bit tricky, but if you don't ask you don't get

Thank you very much!

Attached are the files you've requested. This is not a flashable zip file, it's just an archive file containing the 2 files. Extract the zip and place the files in system/app with the right permissions. Good luck.
In the future, please use a title that describes your problem so that someone with a similar problem may find it when doing a search. "Really I need help!" does no one any good as far as searching goes.
Does anybody know of any working recovery file managers? I used aroma file explorer on my nexus 5 but for some reason it doesnt work on the N6. I used to use it to delete folders before a new flash. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lol! No problem.
Hi guys,
This for reporting a thing that is happening to me with my OnePlus3T.
I noticed this issue only for the specific file shown in the screenshots.
The file affected is the only one stored in the "ModdingRen" folder.
I am able to delete the entire "ModdingRen" folder from my PC but the file and the folder are not effectively deleted as I can see from any file explorer app.
More than this, I am not able to delete the file or the folder directly from the smartphone; doing this the operations fails as you can see from the error screenshot.
Have anyone never experienced an issue like this one?
is there an app associated with this folder? kill that app
or try to delete it from /data/media/0/

I know multirom does some trickery to prevent apps from messing with your roms whilst still keeping them available.
