Hi guys, I've noticed something that is really bothering me. When I plug my headphones the phone doesn't recognize them unless I make the jack twist a little bit but then I don't have smart functions on Spotify for example. It also has problems when I plug the aux cable..it works but while I scroll songs, Google search opens on its own. The question is: is the jack faulty or is it a software bug? In case it's hardware does any of you know how much would it be to change it? Thanks a lot.

I had the same issue as you. And good news nothing is faulty (probably). It's just dust that built up in the jack. You can clean it with compressed air from for example a bottle of compressed air or a compressor (if you have something like that). And if you do this you can clean the USB-C port to. Alternatively you can use a bit of cardboard to carefully remove the dust. This should fix the issue. You should do this every few months.

I have never used those on a device and don't see myself using them in the future. I suppose if you work in a dusty and dirty environment they may come in handy. But I myself have no need for them.
I can see how those can be useful. When I had my iphone, the port and headphone jack were full of lint from being inside the pocket.
I won't buy them though only because it would be a nuisance to have to remove them every time to charge the device or to listen to music with headphones. Those little plugs would get lost really quickly.

Exactly! I sometimes look at my phones and see all the tiny little dirt particles in my audio jack and wonder if it's bad for the port? lol It would be awesome to be able to protect the charging and audio ports from dust etc, but there has to be a more pleasant way of doing so without having to keep up with tiny little rubber pieces.

I definitely want to check these out for my devices. (I'm assuming that they made them for other devices, too.) I've damaged two phones in the past because the usb port leads got wet in the rain, near a leak, or whatever. Damn...make that three phones.
I would welcome those to protect my device. Specially the headphone jack when you are using the phone when its raining.
Hey all,
After a few months of owning this phone my headphones no longer connect firmly to the headphone jack. So when I put my phone in my pocket they easily come loose with the slightest movement, making it impossible to listen to music. There is no more click when I connect them and they're very easy to pull out of the headphone jack.
Is there anything I can do? I don't see how they can become this loose.
Thanks.

I Can only Suggest to, but the Jack must Have some kind of springs in it and you must kinda broke it somehow. I think - if you got the skills - to replace the Jack. If not... well **** happens to all of us but maybe a Rubber Band will help.
Maybe the jack has pocket lint at the bottom, and the plug does not go all the way in?

I checked and yeah there was some pocket lint in it. Removed it, but not much improvement. Sound through headphones is fine btw. No problems there.

Hi,
I'm looking for a case like this one for the Galaxy s3
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00B03OY...ve=22118&creativeASIN=B00B03OYVM&linkCode=asn
Do you know where I can find it for our Note2?
thank you, Danilo
How about this Arkon setup: http://www.arkon.com/Slim-Grip Ultra/slimgrip-ultra-strap-mount.html
I wouldn't trust slim-grip by itself, but it comes with a safety strap which should hold it secure.
R: Motorbike Case
Mhhh... I do not like and then goes to cover the screen that I would use as a navigator
Thankx

I've already one and it works very bad screen reflects a lot in the sun even if you keep it tight
I would suggest spending some to look at ram mount. Probably for an otter box case. Do some homework and if anyone runs across anything a link will be posted here.
Would live to see plenty of alternative options. This thread almost appears to be a shopping request. So I would suggest posts with a link. If anyone has ACTUAL feedback then fire away. Cheers
How about this bad boy...

this is what I built 2 days ago with what I had at home, does not convince me very much because it does not protect the screen.
Then I ordered this should go much better

I hope to receive it soon
This product should work. With no case the Note 2 measures 5.95" long, 3.17" wide and less than 0.37" deep. With my case on it's 6.25" long, 3.375" wide and 1/2" deep. You have to buy the box, the handlebar mount and arm. Luckily I just have to by the box.

very nice find. Didn't realise there was an aqua box product. I think I'll try this on my Harley . Thank you for posting.
Hi,
I got the Z1 and love the phone(some bad reception on it, but meh ), however I've gotten a few problems.
Firstly, I bought a wallet casing for it, but it doesnt fit into the docking with this on ( and the big 'frame' placed in ), so I have to take this case off all the time.
The second problem was that when I bought display films instead, I bought the Copter fullbody ( front and back ), with theese on the phone got too thick to fit into the non-casing dock and way to thin to fit into the casing one.
This is really annoying, so does anyone have an alternative?
Like an docking station that has customizeable width on it ?
One simple option is to just get the magnetic charge cable by itself.

It works, it just isn't a very strong magnetic connection that holds the cable in place.
What's about this? I think it's better acting as a safe removal

I'm thinking about getting a pen for my Mate 8... anyone did this? or suggestions for a good one to use with it? thanks in advance )
Don't think the digitizer does pen on these. Best you can hope for is a finger simulator type stylus.

I don't know... my sister had an old bamboo pen she's not using anymore so I'm using it now since this morning till I find a better solution.. Thank you
Lol. Let's test n see
There is 1$ pen as dust preventer in 3.5mm audio connector. 2in1
Been thinking bout this aswell. I use a capasitive stylus. Using the mate with my thumbs now feels like eating lasagne with my fingers.. Surprisingly good feeling.
Anyone know if the Mate 8 can be used with those active styluses like the ones with wacom technology or bluetooth ones, or with a galaxy stylus?
Im basicly looking for a compatible stylus with a slimmer tip than a capasitive one.
Any suggestions for stylus pen working with Huawei mate 8 with fine tip.... I purchased one with rubber end but it was no use (the same as finger)... please help..
