I've found this interesting Twit from @ChainfireXDA...
Seems the Moto Z2 Force disables dm-verity when you OEM unlock. Weirdly interesting.

factory reset in pie must have caused this in the first place

But when you relock the unlock code no longer works, is that correct?
Yes due to FRP, some people say they have had success. I think best way around it is to use DC Phoenix and use the unbricking method, they do have frp removal but I haven't tried it yet

Thx. I try to figure out what could trigger frp lock. I guess it was factory reset from recovery level.
Theoretically factory reset from settings should remove it.
any help to fix ?

Knox Configured by?

Is there a way to wipe who configured Knox on my phone? I don't even have the option to go through an initial setup process because of this lockdown on my phone.
I have a carrier unlocked from rent a center, but when I enable developer mode, the developer menu is missing completely. Verified that it is enabled.
Assuming the bootloader hasn't been unlocked, most likely no.

I don't know, it's got an unlockable bootloader but I can't get to the OEM unlock because the menu is hidden

What is it that you're actually trying to do? Are you trying to reset it?

You could try using a shortcut app or the one built-in to Nova Launcher to try to access the Developer Options menu.

I'm trying to get rid of the Rent-A-Center Knox hold on this phone so that I can change the firmware to another in order to use all the note 9 features such as Samsung Pay and volte etc.

Yes and download mode etc. I just downloaded a shortcut to developer options and that did work. There is no listing at all for OEM unlock. But this is an already unlocked model, maybe it doesn't apply?

I've never heard of a Note 9 coming with it's bootloader unlocked by default. Once you're in download mode, have you tried flashing a new image with Odin?

Booting into bootloader only goes to the blue download mode screen.

No. You have to unlock the bootloader. The instructions are in the g6 section. They are also on Motorola's website. Did you not search at all?

yeah i saw this method!
But I considered it complex and I was afraid to brick my phone... In the old days it was easier (install and run).
Thanks anyway!
Im looking for root because need enable frontal LED diode (works when battery is dead) to "light" when receiving notifications

None of those old one click methods work anymore dude. You got to do it the old-fashioned way unlock your bootloader with fastboot and Flash TWRP Then use TWRP to flash no verity boot.img and magisk. That's it easy peasy.
Root is in the boot image now.

Unlock the Bootloader Critical Partitions

Hey,
I have googled it but haven't found what is "Unlock the Bootloader Critical Partitions" that they're talking about in Razer site.
I have unlocked many Bootloaders in the past but never heard of such thing.
And: is it better or worse to do it if we want to install GSI ROM?

That's the place where I found this "Bootloader Critical Partitions" thing but they don't explain what's the difference with the usual Bootloader.
https://source.android.com/devices/bootloader/unlock-trusty#designation-of-critical-partitions-data
To flash a GSI it shouldn't be necessary

Question Bootloader relocking

Hello everyone, I recently got a Pixel 7!
I have yet to unlock my pixel, but I was wondering if relocking the bootloader would be as it was never unlocked.
Assuming that, possibly, I restore the stock rom and relock the bootloader will my pixel show the bootloader unlocked warning at boot?
Most importantly, the "OEM Unlock" settings under "Developer options" will be greyed out or forced on? Will it show something like "bootloader already unlocked"?
Or would it be exactly as if I never unlocked it?
Thanks for your replies

If you relock the bootloader, data will be wiped, which means that the OEM Unlock toggle is reset to Off.

Happy to help
If you want to restore your device to stock and relock the bootloader in one go, use the Android Flash Tool
I did it when I was returning the first Pixel 7. No problem
Thanksss
