What is the CM9 issues and how do you guys survive with it ?

Hi , anyone can tell me the exact CM9 issues and why it's cannot be fixed yet ?
So how you guys survive with that ROM ?
Please share me some TIPS .
Currently i'm using Stock Gingerbread since I bought it last year December and now I would like to use CM9 custom rom (PARANOIDANDROID) yayyy

I guess the idea is to test your own skills in modding your phone and see, what the different developers would like us to have. After a few installs, you are hooked at getting your daily fix of new ROM and will suffer withdrawal symptoms, if no new ROM are a available for even a short period!!
Even if all the latest ROMs are not fully functional, they still add many new features to our phone.
I have become very enthusiastic about my phone again and I have had it for almost two years now. The longest time I have ever had a mobile phone.
What also is interesting is that you are able to try so many new apps, that only works if your phone is rooted.
So the benefits are many and if you are not satisfied, there are very good guides on how to go back to stock.

CM 9 don't support Hardware acceleration. Thats the major problem that i know

Hardware Acceleration in CM9 for LG O2X is not working as of now (Needs LG to release an ICS based kernel).
Due to which:
- Video Recording doesn't work.
- Will not be able to play HD videos.
- Some of the system apps will start to lag after some usage (Phone & Contacts).

thank you . i hope the promised official ICS update will reach soon .

Ok, so CM 9 and CM 10 has the following problems:
1) No Hardware acceleration which means:
a) You CAN'T use your video camera at all. Now, I know that some says that you can use Videocam illusion, but that app can record only very low quality videos, which I found to be pretty useless (a lot of CPU use for that low quality).
b) Google Chrome is not supported due to it's need to access the GPU, but this is not so important due to other very good browsers
c) You will experience scrolling jittering. That being said when you will try to change between photos in the gallery (usually there is the bigest problem), or between songs in some media players by swaping on the screen, you will see something like the photo or album art is going back from where it came, but the result is good: changing the photo / song. The only problem is the visual one.
d) Gameloft games, and especially those with a little video at the begining will not work until you delete those clips from the instalation folder.
2) No radio application => no more FM radio for you. Wi-Fi (or a really well data plan) resolves this thing by using it for Tune-in Radio, a very good application for radio. I prefer to use it even on GB roms, because of the very good sound quality regardless the standard radio that sometimes loses the signal.
3) On CM 10 there are a few more bugs like no automatic brightness, or battery drain due to Wi-fi. Regardless all theese bugs, I found CM 10 from ParanoidAndroid to be a way much better rom than any other around here. Keeping the Wi-Fi off I don't experience any battery drain (more than that my battery last longer than anytime) and my favorite no data connection lost (I don't know if this was a carrier problem or not, but before switching to CM 10 i had a lot of data connection problems).
4) Not to be forgotten the lag on installing applications from Google Play Store. I found this problem on almost every single rom I've tried, and I tried almost all of them. I think I found only one or two roms w/o this problem, but being a maniac for the latest updates I've chosen the ICS and JB roms instead of a very stable one
5) No GPS working on CM 10
Now it's your decision. If you can live w/o video camera and gps and try to not get angry at every scroll bug you should really try the new CM 9 and 10 roms

GPS is working fine for me on CM10 (KashaMalaga's build)

I know this may sound weird to you, but: I can survive without any ROM.
It's not that your life depends on your smartphone, does it?
Just be happy with what you got.

Anyone know of any Custom Roms that are stable for the Note 3 ATT

I have tried a few roms, which are not stable for the Note 3, i tried Dynamic rom 4.1, theat rom had a issue with the volume being low on VOIP calling, i tried the Alliance rom, you cant multitask on it, when iam on a voip call and try to browse the web, the phone kills the VOIP call and closes the app all together.
Are there any real custom roms that are good for the ATT Galaxy Note 3, also with the ability to tether over OPENvpn

Working with lolipop 5.1.1

Got my phone working with 5.1.1 Sony z3, was having host manager has stopped issue, notifications n call works fine only transferring pics to phone gets stuck at 0% in notifications.

Ok I will buy, which version manager, which version firmware, and is all functions working?

calls and notifications work fine, gear wont push photos to phone after taking on watch , it tries to push but gets stuck on 0% , and yeah , call logs wont show up , rest works

Ok so it will work on my Galaxy j5 on 5.1.1 presumably. But which Gear Manager did you use, the Play Store one isn't compatible with 5.1.1 and the Galaxy apps one although installable isn't compatible with the gear 1.

I use Galaxy Apps one with Gear 1, on 5.1.1 Note Edge. Everything works just fine.

Im on Note 4 5.1.1, Gear app can't connect to my gear.

Which firmware ?.

root questions

Hi, firstibile big thank you to all people from xda, you do a great job here. My last phone what was rooted was galaxy s4 long time ago. Now I have my note 9 for 2 years and it could be great to have a working root on note 9. Please can you great users tell what are a limitation for current root. I remember when was an issue with root on note 9 on the beginning where phone was charging battery only to 80%.is this still an issue? Does banking apps (UK) works fine like Barclays, natwest Halifax etc. How about Google play, secure folders, fingerprint, biometric etc. Does evrythink still works with this root or is it any problem on Android 10 exynos version? Please help

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T719 (gts28velte)

Can some one give me advice which custom rom can use with my Samsung Tab, I prefer Android 10 if si possible!
I need GPS, Bluetooth,WiFi and Data and Camera to work.
Current rom now is Lineage os 16.1 but some times Bluetooth drops or connects slowly (have to switch on/off several time to find/connect bluetooth devices).

P.S. Or if some one can port Havoc or other Android 10 working roms?
