I just wanted to share my thoughts and experience with the Whitestone Dome Glass for the Note 8. I have installed a few of these things on Note 8's for my friends and I. With the exception of the tray lifting up in the middle where it comes together and the glass slipping between on my first install I can say the product installs very smoothly. Two of my installs have resulted with issues with the glue on the edges collecting dust/dirt and when you try to get it off the edge (since it isn't rounded) looks like utter crap. I am talking TWO absolutely perfect installations. One of which developed a lifting edge on the lower right side which has tiny bubbles. Keep in mind one of these installations is with a case that allows more than enough room (tech21 evo tactical) and the other with no case. I have contacted Whitestone via their email, via PM here on XDA and the on site contact form via their website. I have gotten ZERO reply. I want this product to be work. I really do but I think some issues need to be addressed such as rounding the edges and maybe the glue or the light not curing the glue enough. After my experience, I have to question the customer service of this company. I am about to contact the place I purchased them from to see if they can do anything. I have attached the same pictures I sent to whitestone for everyone to see. The whole edge around the whole glass looks that way now. Maybe whitestone will see this and actually do something.
Update: On one of the installs it started bubbling on one edge and looked horrible. I was able to remove the glass with little or no effort. All in one piece took less than 30 seconds. There is definitely an issue with either the uv glue, the uv light, or both. I also notice rough edges on the glass itself. This in itself promotes the crappy look on the edge when the dirt mixes with the glue. Step up Whitestone.
This why I waited on these, will see how they handle this.

Thanks for sharing. I ordered from Amazon, but haven't installed it yet. I'm thinking of returning it....
Following this as I purchased the Whitestone Dome for my Note 8 also, It looks like it installed fine without any bubbles, but we will see.
I love how some companies don't respond unless you call them out publicly.

Agreed. I would recommend sticking with Amazon on this one as you are always covered with them. I am going to re-install a dome glass again on the Note 8 and document on this thread the phases as it gets what is almost like a "halo" from the dirt on the edge. Some may not have a problem with the look. I however think it looks horrible.
I had no issues at all with being a first time user of the product. Other than the price, seems to be the best thing out there for our screens. I guess you pay for what you get. I did have some glue residue in the top right hand corner, but the alcohol pad took care of that with not problems. I did happen to get one bubble in the bottom left corner, but imma try not to get all bent over it...as OCD as I am, just shows it's not too bad of a bubble. Just hoping I never have to see if its durable enough for a drop.
It seems that all screen protectors for these types of screens are iffy if you dont put them on PERFECT. It bums me out because I spent $20 on my first screen protector (not this one) and it slid right off... The middle of the screen protector was all dried up and had no glue on it. I probably can blame myself for a bad install, but Ive seen many people complaining about this type of issue.. I'm probably gonna try this one out here soon and see if it works well. What cases are compatible with this protector? I have a spigen tough armor atm and it seemed to try and peel the corners off a tad on my last protector...

I am successfully using the Samsung OEM clear back cover. Does not interfere with the Whitestone, which is work well without any bubbles after 2 days.
I too am a bit dissatisfied with the white stone protector as it went on absolutely perfect until I stuck it in my pocket and pulled out a protector full of fuzz stuck around the edges. After trying to clean it up the edges look rough and it created a halo effect from tiny bits of glue rubbing oiut from the very edge. I also agree the edges need to be rounded and polished. If the glue wasn't rubbery and was more of a solid it would eliminate the dirt and lint issue

Since every case is different and every screen protector is different it is a lottery. Unless you go with the Whitestone Dome Glass there is a list of compatible cases just watch the vids on this youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCewzyJMZtNFqESxXZZgv__g
From my experience here are the ones I have tried so far and they fit fine: tech21 evo check and evo tactical. Any of the caseology cases. I have a UAG Monarch on order and that is supposed to fit as per the video Gravx made but it is very close. I have a perfect install on my dome glass so it should.
Here are a few pictures of an absolutely perfect install. No bubbles, perfect placement, etc. Pay attention to the edges in particular. Especially at the bottom and left hand side. That is where the glue under the screen edge is now gone from cleaning it up. You can see little balls of glue all over in different spots. Cleaning those up will result in the same halo look everywhere. This is after just a few days.
Whitestone has been at least acknowledging me since I went public. They are willing to address the issue have been helpful now. The original place I purchased from has terrible communication. What I really want is a way to get the edge clean after installing so this halo doesn't happen. It may be that we just have to leave it alone and have a crummy looking edge. Or just let it "wear" off? I think that is what I will try next.

Hello there!
I am so sorry about that. We will reply ASAP.
It has been a long Korean holiday and we have not been able to help much.
We will get back to you very soon.
The Whitestone Dome works perfectly if you can follow directions. I have done 3 of these now (S7 edge, S8 plus, and Note8) and they all came out perfect! If someone is on the fence do to the negative reviews, just go ahead and get it. Apparently, many people try to blame their own mistakes on the company. You just have to take your time and read the instructions. I just hope that Whitestone continues to make these as it is the only protector that fits on curved displays (all companies seem to be going to the curved edges it seems).

I also contacted you through private message and also through Facebook Messenger with no response..
I actually messed up my first install and had to clean all the glue off my phone and the screen protector before trying again (it didn't drop properly onto the face of the phone during installation), but the second time was perfect. This is by far the best screen protector I've ever used - the s-pen glides so smoothly across it.

I would have to agree as well....I had to order 2 separate orders, because the first one came damaged. Then on the second attempt, my screen bubbled like crazy. I wrote CS. And they wanted pictures....well I of course did what I could to clean up the phone immediately. And didn't think I would need pictures. They sort of gave me, "ohh well". You would think for 50 bucks they would at least provide 2 glasses.
So got my shiny new Note 8 week ago. Also with that got the Whitestone Dome screen protector and alcantara case.
Tried to install screen protector:
1st. attempt: The screen lined up incorrectly from the bottom, tried to "lift it up to the position" just created more airbubles and the glue poured out from the sides.
After cleaning my Note 8 with the alcohol swipes, (It was a mess to try to clean the phone AND the glass screen protector)
2. attempt with the second bottle of glue..... There was a dust particle on the glue itself. Great.
Wait for a week to mobilefun to ship me another one. (while doing so i was "dry- practicing" to get it 100% correct this time)
3. attempt was a charm.... until.... when the glue spread there was 2 small air bubbles... Take the second bottle and "tap" the small air bubbles away. (while doing so being extremely nervous about that the screen protector might move or great new bubbles). Managed to get the bigger one out but there was the small one... Didn't get that out.
Light up the UV light and call it a day. Only problem is now there is small air bubble that is pretttty distracting to say the least.
So, now i am with 50€ in my account from the order. (Because i demanded that they refund me this horrible product). I am left to choose new screen protector.
My options that i have read:
- Rearth invisible defender - The problem with this is that there is "snowfall" effect and the screen is too damn sticky (according to reviews)
- IQ Shield - The problem with this is that the S-pen (according to reviews) leaves trails to the TPU protector. Because it's so soft and it will not cure overtime.
-Zagg invisible shield - Unresponsivnes and the fact that it has "raimbow" -effect on the screen.
New one that i just founded out about:
-Powerpeak Base- According to this guy (Install Jimmy is Promo's "Base Screen protector for Samsung GALAXY S8 & Note 8 here) Its pretty good. Might be ad though... Does any of you have experience on this?
The whitstone does have pretty good responsiveness and all that good stuff. But the problem is the installation and even when i tried to be 100% accurate with the installation, it still greated air bubbles. And the fact that there is a HUGE risk that the glue when cured can cause damage to the screen.... More specifically if you manage to cure the glue when the glue is over the earpiece... you are ****ed with your 1000€ phone.
I am doing the poor mans whitestone. LOCA glue and cheap amazon tempered glass. Took me two tries to get it right. So with two screens and glue, out $20. I did buy a UV lamp for dual use. My phone and girlfriends nails. I had the ZAGG on my S8+, didn't like it at all, unresponsive. But i bet if you glued it on with LOCA it would be good.

Hello, this is Whitestone.
I am so sorry that you had a terrible experience with our product. Air bubbles can be very frustrating on a new screen protector. We are constantly trying to solve the problem of air bubbles, and the seesaw type has drastically reduced it but not fully eliminated it.
I am very thankful for your patience to give our product three tries before you made your decision and also for a detailed feedback on what became wrong.
Since you have given a lot of effort on our product, we will try and help you out if you are willing to give our product another chance.
Feel free to contact us through here, or our homepage, or any social media.
Again I am terribly sorry.

Use it before on my note edge 4. The spen did leave marks.
But with the note 8. I dont see any marks. So either the protector is better or the tips are softer

do you forsee it lifting up on the edges? did you get the techskin one that comes in a twopack?
I'm currently going through a batch of clear protection film HD skins on my Note 8. Generally are average, but some dont cover the edges that well or some have too much orange peel, or some are not cut correctly. Typical chinese "dog" turd.
So far. Spigen, coverage is excellent, but suffer from a lot of orange peel. Illumi Shield , coverage is rubbish, one side ( left side ) is cut shorter than the other. But less orange peel.
Amovo front and back clear film, the worst ever. The pikeys didnt even inc a lubrication spray with their aggrssive adhesive film. Secondly the film that you remove to apply was stuck like gorilla glue to the actual film. You know, the tab that say "peel here first" and " peel here last".
I dont care less for the glass crap for curved screens, but in search of a half decent clear film currently. The search continues...

Im primarily using and trying non glass type films, similar to the stuff used to protect car paint protection. My background includes being able to apply paint protection film on cars so these are all from the same mold that I have been trying. BTW, heat of a hairdryer will aid in adhering the curved edges once applied- slight tip.
I have not tried IQShield yet, sorry. So far the Spigen one fitted well coverage wise, but their film is very aggressive in the orange peel front,
I might try Skinomi next, but I have heard they cut their films short to save a few bucks.
Lets liase and share our experiences with these type of films, cheers.
Thanks for all of you for the help and responses.
Yes the IQshield and Skinomi are on the top of my list... They are around 20€ including shipping to Finland from Ebay. A bit expensive but lets see....
Im currently using IQshield version 2 (case friendly) for about a week now.
I've done a lot of wet install before so i know what to expect using this type of screen protector. Its been a week now and so far no lifting on the curve part of the screen. it is smooth to touch, sensitivity is normal and very good. Im using a VRSdesign slim case and it works well, all corners fitted very well.
I also used skinomi before and if i remember it right IQshield is more smoother than skinomi in-terms of orange peel feeling. The only problem that is s-pen will leave marks when used with this kind of screen protector. (i tried it at the very bottom and its still have mark after a week)
I can give this IQshield a 7.5/10 score. LOL

I used the tip of placing painter's tape over the speaker. I covered the speaker enough to not interfere with the glass. It worked great! I do have three small bubbles after two tries but can't see them unless I try. My wife's has one bubble in about the same spot as mine. The lower left corner about 1/3 up the screen where the curve starts. There a number of ways to avoid the creation of bubbles. I couldn't say them all because I'm not an expert in LOCA glue and it's properties. Experimentation is the only way to find out.

I am glad that you have started beeing more on forums and social media. I want to thank you for sending me a new one. Now i am waiting for it. Hope this time works.
To be honest, it will be difficult to actually get most tempered glass protectors to stay on this curved glass.. Its a pain and it sucks because I would actually like to get one. I just ordered the whitestore myself..., but they wont be in stock again until the 30th...
I got the PowerPeak Base and it is utter garbage. I lost atleast 30% touch sensitivity and then it just eventually slid off of my phone from me trying to swipe so hard. The middle actually dried up and there was nothing holding the middle to the phone.
I despise the wet installs. They are too soft and will leave indents as you said.. So really its either try tempered glass protectors until you find the one you want, go with indents and wet installs, or just go no screen protector like me!
I have the wet install spigen ones but I tbh would rather go with no protector than use them.
I ordered and installed this on my Note 8 : https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B074G1W2RC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Along with a Spigen Tough Armor case. It seems to work well and no real screen sensitivity issues either.

I get the case friendly 2pack. And havent had problems with lifting.
Had my note 8 since sept 8 and been caseless and no lifting.
Anyone planning on using a cheap protector with LOCA glue needs to check the strength of the LOCA. Some have reported they were not able to remove the protector after using some LOCA glue.
I had 3 attempts at the Dome Glass myself. The first one I got had a broken bridge. I could not get the glue in the right spot. Whitestone refunded me. I bought the next set from Amazon. Everything was perfect until I peeled the plastic off the back of the protector. There must have been a fleck of dirt near the side. I did not see it as I did not have enough light.
I sent the second one back to Amazon and just had to pay return shipping. With the third one I took a different approach. I used a totally level counter top in the bathroom. I ran the shower with hot water for about 10 minutes so the whole bathroom was steamed up. This kept the dust down. I cleaned the phone screen and when I removed the plastic from the protector, it somehow grabbed another piece of dirt. Due to the extreme lighting, I saw it and removed it before installing. It installed perfectly with no dust/dirt or air bubbles. I did the first cure with the UV light then took it out of the jig and wiped the sides, top and bottom with an alcohol pad. I then did the final cure. Not one ounce of glue seeped out. I did not protect the speaker or anything else. If this is done perfectly, this is the absolute best protector available IMHO. The problem is anything short of a perfect install will drive many of us with OCD crazy.
On Monday we traded in my Mothers iPhone and she went with a Note 8. The Dome Glass arrived today. This time, perfect install the first time. I wish Whitestone would include 2 pieces of glass per package since this is the most expensive Note 8 protector. Their CS is a bit slow but they did take care of me in the end. It's a bit of a ripoff to sell the kit for 49 but then only sell the glass and one tube of glue for 39. The refill pack should be 15-20 at the highest.
After a week, none of my edges are lifting at all. Some may be using cases that are not compatible. My protector does not touch my case at anyplace. I think cases that touch the protector have a good chance of raising the edges. Even if the case looks fine after install, if grabbing it makes the case touch the glass, it will eventually lift and get bubbles.
Someone finally did it, a Tempered glass inexpensive full back adhesive for the Note 8, not just the edges. I have to say first that I was VERY Skeptical of this tempered glasses claim to have full adhesive and stick to the phone properly. I am one of those people who has literally tried an insane amount of tempered glasses I think Amazon had to offer, finally settling on the Dome Glass but if /when it breaks you are shelling out another 45 bucks plus the install procedure can be a bit much for some.
But anyway this tempered glass went on so easy with the provided guard rail I truly couldn’t believe it. It laid down and adhered to the phone with a little help from the provided squeegee then I just pressed the edges down and voila!! The ENTIRE glass protector lays down edges and everything no bubbles. Went on just as easy as a tempered glass for a flat screen. This tempered glass is just what I have been looking for since I got my Note 8. Well done… SingularityProducts
Pros:
1. Very easy install with tools provided
2. True tempered glass
3. Fingerprints and smudges are minimal and wipe off easily
4. No dot matrix
5. Touch screen sensitivity stayed not hampered
6. Was $13.89 when I bought mine, but now I see it is $18.89 still better than $45, $34, etc the others with this claim cost
Cons:
1. I truly could not think of one con, very happy with this product I am buying another right now in case this one breaks
2. Price increase from $13.89 to $18.89

I think I got something similar to this. Php 1,300 so around $25.
It isnt full coverage (It cuts the screen and leaves the curve where it drops off exposed) and this first one I got had a flaw in the adhesive and has 3 permanent bubbles on the adhesive itself.
I had this replaced then on the second one was perfect. No bubbles. Although one speck of dust made it through. It isn't easy to install and requires a lot of patience and slow application to get the bubbles out.
Technique for the is to let it adhere on the top then slowly work it to the bottom. Starting with the center then working to the edges also works but takes more time. It may have also caused the permanent bubbles to the adhesive as the seller who sold me this forced to press the bubbles out instead of working it out to the edges.
Pictures of the box, kit, and on the Note 8 to follow in a bit.
With the effort for this and the non full coverage I might consider the Whitestone Dome because I am tired trying out different protectors.
I have tried TPU (issue is the s-pen leaves marks on the protector), various edge adhesive protectors (some fit well some don't but all have the dot matrix and eventually dust gets in and in my use case of using the phone while walking in the rain water gets in), and finally this full adhesive but NOT FULL COVERAGE ONE). So far this is the best I have tried BUT lint still gathers on the edges and is driving me bonkers with the cleaning it out...

Lint gathers on the side but at least the touch sensitivity is not affected. Also part of the screen is cut off and the edges are actually exposed.
Also it is weird that the manufacturer kept the black border even if this is full adhesive and again NOT FULL COVERAGE.
I think these are the same full adhesive protectors offered at AliExpress. Ordered one 3 weeks ago. Crap. Bubbles, cuts parts of display left, right, top, bottom. Inacceptable, full adhesive or not. Got it refunded and would not order it again.

Also it is weird that the manufacturer kept the black border even if this is full adhesive and again NOT FULL COVERAGE.

If it doesn't cover the edges then that wouldn't work for me. I'm glad you like it, but for me, it's worthless if it doesn't cover the whole screen.

Uh I don't like it but it is good enough until I get a Whitestone Dome or other alternatives. I do not want to leave it bare and naked.

Gotcha. I'm using a wet apply screen protector for now. I like it other than the S-Pen leaves marks in it.

Is it TPU? Is the Spigen one good? or maybe the wraparound Ringke?
Also which S-Pen Tip are you using the grey or the black one?

Iit's the Armor suit Wet apply one it's not TPU, but is a soft screen protector.
I'm using the black tip. the white one was too hard and really dug into the screen protector.

Also, as you can see in the pictures my box is different than the one posted in the above post. Not sure which brand theirs is.

Yes adhesive on the entire back of the screen
Tip, if you start screen protector from the top and work down using the squeegee provided then you can work out remaining bubbles with your fingers as long as you don't trap any dust under the screen should be bubble free

Did you use the plastic jig that came with it? Some of the TGSPs i've bought in the past for my S8+ came with a jig like that, but they always set the TGSP about a millimeter too low so it wound up cutting off part of the status bar. NEVER enough to matter, but was still annoying. How's the alignment with this one?

Yes I used to jig that came with it and IMO it is perfect it sits "right" below the selfie cam yeah I think I am set for screen protection for now may be I will re-review in a couple of weeks, see how it holds up.
Here are some more pics to show screen coverage. Again I am not a photographer lol I use the edge screen Sidebar a lot with no issues.
been a few weeks since i bought 2 note 8's and they're still in box, because of lack of full adhesive protectors, not going to rock it naked as too many hair line scratches got on s8+ fast and the screen cracked on a drop.
can we please compile a list of full adhesive glass protectors full coverage or not, I looked around and didn't find such a list
Whitestone dome (full coverage), I have even purchased, but after reading around here it cracks easily, I have put it on hold as it is also too expensive.

I have a Whitestone Done and it didn't crack at all. I screwed up my first one, but then bought another and this time it's applied perfectly with no bubbles or lifted edges. Fits great with my Otter box Commuter too. Definitely the best I tried, although I'm anxious to see how the new Zagg fares in comparison...

somewhere within the whitestone thread in the accessories forum i read that a guy had a kickstand on a desk and it fell face down hit the laptop on that same desk cracking the screen
I ordered the singularity protector will post a video here with a few different cases
if anyone has requests on what all to be listed in the video/pictures please advise...
I want majority of people satisfied, as I wasn't by the posted pics here and videos on youtube, not to mention somewere very detailed and because of them I kept my notes in their boxes since purchased

OK... Some said it cracked while applying it, so I was just offering my own positive experience for balance. Having said that, it's still glass after all so it definitely can crack if hit hard enough...but the others I've tried seem thin anyhow. Ultimately, I much prefer that cracking than my screen
I've looked for the past 2 days now and I cannot for the life of me find a decently priced FULL ADHESIVE (tempered glass) screen protector. I ordered a "bubble free" and it looks like garbage, only the edges have adhesive so it's not fully on, it definitely was not tempered glass, and when it's off you can see the rainbow effect.
I'm just confused because the last phone I had was a Note 5 and it wasn't that hard to find a tempered glass screen protector, we didn't have "adhesive edges" back then so all you had to do was spray a bit of water and card out any bubbles. I just upgraded to a Note 8, is this really so hard to find?
I did check out Finally, Tempered glass inexpensive full back adhesive for the Note Post and they do not sell the same product anymore.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

There are some on Amazon(UK), but they're nigh on impossible to put on without creating bubbles.
Personally I prefer the end result from the ones that you don't like. Maybe I've been lucky but these are what I use on my Note 8, my daughter's Note 9 and my wife's S9. Never spent more than £2.50 on one.
What you realise with experience, is that these will crack sooner rather than later they're all the same bar a minor tweak, 3 - 4 months and you'll be replacing them anyway.
Save your money.
i use this and i am very happy..!
it is a uv glue tempered glass like whitestone but a lot cheaper. (i have used whitestone doom in the past and i put them in the same quality)

The one I ordered WAS from amazon, but it was complete garbage, imagine taking 15$ and just putting it straight into the trash can. Did you have any specific recommendation or..
I have spent well over $60 on screen protectors.. Given up.
So annoyed with the curved screens. May even change brand

Good luck finding anything that will come factory with "full adhesive" I have tried every type in the book short of the over priced white dome. I ended up finding a perfect solution (for me) though a 3D or 4D"d Temp glass protector as its advertised anyways... i think they're all pretty much the same at the point of "D" in the description but that being said they are only like 6 bucks a piece for a full cover option i opted for with out the whole top section cut out around the speakers and camera. They were only edged adhesive but the trick is to use the LOCA glue to adhere it to the phone... I am aware its for LCD screen repairs but if you get the 2500 viscosity its a lot thicker and it never fully cures even under a black light but it has the right amount of stickiness to stay on the phone seamlessly on my note 8 and have no popping or issues with input of the s pen, Its great! the corners dont lift even its on there good. Yes ive cracked and had to replace them before so i can vouch they are remove-able. I will add if they are on there a long time that around the bottom center where you usually touch the screen the most it can be a pain in the ass to get it separated.. Ive found that 91% rubbing alcohol and a fresh clean razor blade window scrapper lifts it off without scratching the screen. Hope this helps

Look for the one which comes with UV light and UV activated adhesive.
There is plain glass with back side laminated sheet which needs to be peeled off. A UV activated glue that is liquid and needs to go on the screen over which the glass is placed.
Then its all like spreading butter between toasts. You must apply little pressure so it spreads over entire screen then use the UV light to harden it.
Its the best i have found yet after nearly 10 screen protector. It need expertise and is not for the faint of heart. Good luck

I would have to say shy away from applying pressure as it pushes the glue out of areas causing an uneven layer of glue & possibly bubbles. If you put a 50 cent size globon one end of it and tip the phone towards the opposing end it will run down the phone and as your doing that you just let the screen protector drop onto the glue ever so slightly from one end to the other and just let it spread it will eventually spread every time if you use enough glue.... cover up your speakers with tape. Just my Insite an experience with using pressure and not using pressure. Otherwise good advice

Nice, i faced issue when i dropped glue and put on the screen guard. It never went till the corners, even after adding more glue in second attempt. So i pressed a little and it went all the way to the edges.
Maybe im dropping glue in centre. I will try your method of starting from corner next time. Thanks :good:

If you use certain cases yes they will have issues, actually at least half of the ones Ive tried have caused the protector to lift. Also the glue that i use is not made for screen protectors, its for LCD screens replacements. THat being said its just 2500 LOCA glue. You MUST buy the 2500 or higher cuz anything lower in viscosity will make it near impossible to remove when it comes time to change out the screen proector
