do anyone face screen burn issue in this device i am facing this issue in indian variant xt1804 and also i m not getting update what should i do for screen burn issue should i give it to moto for replacing screen or anyone else is facing same issue i can fix that issue but i m scared it comes again and again does it get much more problematic by time
sorry for my bad english
all opinions and suggestions are appreciated

I just received this phone yesterday. I'll keep an eye out for this issue
Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk

can anyone just put their device to maximum brightness and keep the device on home screen for about 5 6 minutes and on data switching option above switch is there any network bar and battery transparent like thing and please if anyone can do this and report it would be helpful specially xt1804 users (indian varaint ) or any variant

I don't have screen burns but screen gets jaggy sometimes showing mostly green and black strip but it's in milliseconds and only when I play videos but the thing I noticed it might be screen issue cause no matter I watch video on MX player, chrome or any other media or other video it happens when video goes on for long run

It shouldn't have burn in, it's not OLED (IPS) so it'll be harder to achieve that permanent burn in like a Pixel 2...Might just be a defect

I get burn in but it's completely temporary. Every morning after not using my phone for 5-6 hours while sleeping there's no burn it at all.

[Q] Screen burn in after 1 month of use. Is it normal?

The other day, when viewing a Youtube video in fullscreen, I noticed a screen burn in from the navigation bar. Also, I noticed a static horizontal line a bit upper from the nav bar, I donĀ“t know if it's related to screen burn in or what.
My device has a month of use, is it normal to have these kind of issues?
I have it too. Didn't notice it until I used this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tinyroar.amoledburninfix
I ran it for 10 minutes and it was working. I found it on one of the tech blogs and the author had a nexus 6 and he had to use the app for a half hour to fix the issue.

It says my device isn't compatible with that app.
Strange... I have a 2014 moto X PE and I got it right off of the play store.
Keeping the brightness low helps with prolonging burn-in, but it's gonna happen eventually because of the AMOLED technology. The burn-in fix app is very useful in reversing the effects.
No burn in on mine. No burn in on my 2013 X either.

Screen burn in discussion. Experiences? (1st gen)

I am a new owner of an Lg G watch Urbane 1st edition. I have researched about screen burn in before I bought the watch and decided that it wouldn't be that horrible because of the built in burn in protection. However I am still not convinced because of claims that if a certain watch face uses to wide object the screen moving around won't move that object enough for the pixel to turn off and rest. Any of you have a good general rule of thumb what to look out for when downloading watch faces? There are some cool ones out there but could I for example use ones that have colour in them even in dimmed mode? Or should I use ones that don't? What watch faces do you use that isn't too simple but hasn't caused burn in for you?
I own the same watch and I've never had any burn in issues. I use the always on option all day and faces with big numbers and never noticed that effect (okay maybe once, but maybe it was just that one face). So as far as I'm concerned you don't need to worry about that when hunting for new faces. I use all kinds of both simple high contrast faces and very busy image based too. I'm happy that they look great and don't give me any issues. Now, have you experienced burn in or were you just curious about it?
I just got my watch yesterday and already see faint burn it... I know that is common with OLED screens.. but I want to be sure I do not do permanent damage.. I would be interested to hear what you all do to help prevent it ?
I see a setting in Developer Mode that (PREVENT BURN IN) but when I enable it.. it says "will be effective after reboot" but when I reboot it turns off... ?
I have also purchased a pre-owned LG watch urbane from ebay. It just arrived to me yesterday and I have noticed the burn in issue which has some text saying "Android wear has stopped working". This is visible when screen is bright but not visible in ambient mode and darker themes.
well luckily my faint burn in has gone away.. the biggest help was turing off Always On Display... i'm not sure if this would have been a perminent issue since i'm sure LG had this in mind when they setup the OLED display.. but I know it bugs me to see shadow images on the screen... plus I do like the lengthened battery life having it off.. 50% at the end of the day is great

How can I correct the "ghost" effect on the screen of my Motorola G5s +?

I have been using it for a few months, and I have tried several things like using the "dead fix pixel" application, but now I received a call and the effect is worse. Any help? Any rom that includes screen calibration? I have not wanted to stop using Stock, but if I have to do it, I do it.
I have that issue too.. I bought this phone earlier September, brand new... But just after weeks, I already noticed ghost effect @ lcd burn in... So far I found no solution for this.. Temporary fix for me, is shut down the phone for about few minutes then restart it.. ghost effect is gone for a while before it's back few hours later... I'm pretty disappointed with the screen quality... The phone itself is very good, battery is good.. running high graphic games well too
I had an issue with ghost effect when I put a low quality replacement screen on. I now have an OEM screen and haven't noticed it since, although it may take a few months for the effect to start.

Huawei P30 Pro Burn In Issue Question

Hi all,
I want to find out if heavy usage of youtube on this phone will cause Screen Burn In?
Heavy usage = Always on youtube. At least 8 to 10 hours of youtube per day.
Unless all the videos have the same static image (or its the same video on loop) screen burn is unlikely. The only issue would likely be the video not filling the screen leaving black bars down the side which could burn in. I'd recommend zooming in the video to fill the screen to avoid that.
That would mean there will still be burn in. ???????

isnt it an amoled display, meaning the black bars would just be the leds turned off meaning no burn in?
I use you tube a fair bit, maybe not to the extent the OP uses but a good few hours, and not even a hint of burn in
They would burn in eventually as the black bars are getting less use than the video area so they'd be brighter than the rest of the display
My experience with burn in is that I had to go change the front panel 4 times in One Year (Samsung). I am now afraid to buy a new phone because I don't want to have to go to the service centre 4-5 times in one year. Just wanted to find out if Huawei also would get such issue. And don't know if Huawei cover such issue in their warranty.

It's going to happen on any Amoled screen if you leave the same image on for long periods of time, nothing to do with the manufacturer of the device, the displays are rarely made by the same OEM as the device anyway
Turn brightness down and don't leave the same image on the screen, turn it off when not using it
I would recomend you to use "Youtube Vanced" as it has built in "background playback" and completly black theme and you can also turn the screen off during video playback.

I've had my P30 PRO since July 2019 and no burn in at all. 6-8 hours screen time a day.

Me too, the display seems very high quality in terms of build quality....
It really depends on your personal usage. High brightness means screen burn ins will appear sooner rather then later. On my old Galaxy S4, after 3 years of usage, no burn ins. On my old Galaxy A5 2016, after 2 years, no burn ins. My girlfriend's Galaxy S9+, after 1 and a half year, full keyboard burn in. She uses her phone with brightness at maximum a lot of times while I, on the other hand, can't stand high brightness, only in direct sunlight.
It all depends on your usage.

Question Burn in Display in 6 days

Hello how are you ?
I tell you that I have the OnePlus Ace (converted to 10R) for about 6 days and since yesterday Wednesday after updating I began to notice that the clock in always on display was marked on the display of the phone, the same happens to me with other applications like Facebook or Instagram and not to mention the notification bar.
The strange thing is that after having a good time it goes away.
What dou you recommend? Purchase was by Aliexpress

It is never a good idea to use Always On with oled displays. These type of screens are prone to that, of course not in 6 days, but, letting it all day on, specially with a display that suffers with burn in, sooner or later this will happen.
In your case, you could try the refund or return policy from aliexpress, either way I'm pretty sure you will lose money.
If the text doesn't move vertically every dozen or so seconds in AOn mode, keep it disabled (check after each OTA/custom ROM). In case you got a burn-in while the phone does proper moving of the AOn text, that's definitely a display hardware defect.
