Hello
I've used the automatic update to v9 stable. All working well, but screen mirroring. I can only cast youtube. When trying to cast using the build in cast app, it says connecting then stops. When trying to cast using google app, I get message that device not optimized for casting.
All was working great with v8.5.somethig that came with the phone...
Anyone having this issue? What can be done to fix this? Can I downgrade back to latest 8.x rom w/o losing my data?
Thanks
OK found the problem
By bad (actually not)
The problem is with the Xposed framework (v80.2). With the previous rom (miui v8.5.x), Xposed did not work at all, so Cast worked OK. After upgrading to V9, I tried reinstalling Xposed, and was very happy to see that it works great.. well not so great, since screencast is not supported...
Any suggestions/workarround are still welcomed..

One of the nicer tablet optimized apps featured in the Market is the CNN for Android app. Unfortunately, for those of us who have rooted our Xooms, for some reason we cannot play video through the app and get a "CNN Video is not available offline. Please connect to a network and try again" message when we try to play video.
Presumably if there is something about rooting that causes this problem, then it is something with a reasonably easy solution. Unfortunately, I have no clue as to what that solution is. Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can get video working in this app?
Not sure why its not working for you, but its works find for me rooted with 1.4 cybertronic_p6 kernel..
Yeah, it's working with my own kernels, too (essentially the Moto Stock kernel HR166 with the Tiamat Overclock patches and all the latest upstream stuff).
I can't see how rooting and/or updated kernels could mess with that. Now, your init files (part of the "boot.img" that actually enables root) could be missing something that the video section requires.
Can you play embedded videos from any other source?
Do you have adfree installed? As soon as I uninstalled that, the videos started working again.

Yes I do, I thought that might have been what was causing the problem. I don't want to uninstall AdFree. Any idea which host I can delete from the hosts.txt file created by AdFree to get it working?
CyanogenMod 11 loaded up and working fine on the Samsung Captivate - no problems came from 10.2 so didn't have to do anything other than make a back up and install . Also installed newest Gapps . :good:
Good, but official CM11 is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557481

Yeah I know - I read those - but the XDA forums won't let me post there until I make ten posts in the general areas. So gotta start somewhere.
Ok so I have flashed CM11 and it works fine except for "OK Google" doesn't work. I came from OmniRom 4.4 and there's is almost perfect except there is no screenshot without installing framework. So when I do that it makes my Music force close. I wipe and reinstall, wipe and reinstall still no luck. Ant ideas on how to get "ok google" to work? I tried going in and removing the code that is posted in the dev forum but that didn't work for me either. Otherwise great job everybody.

Maybe it will get fixed on one of the new nightlies . There always seem to be a lot of bugs in these new versions that get fixed eventually. For me MX player worked but after the newest nightly yesterday then it wouldn't load up. But I found the built in video player is working fine.

It's MX Player issue, not CM11.
MX works again - camera fixed with clearing data

Yes - the newest update of MX now works. The camera didn't work in the newest CM11 nightly but I used Titanium Backup to find the camera app and cleared the data and that fixed the problem.
Mic Only no sound on phone calls with Hangouts enabled
Currently on Cyanogenmod cm-11-20140108-NIGHTLY-captivatemtd.
During phone calls the other party cannot hear me. Using Groundwire sip client no problems with voice both ways.
When I disable Hangouts the mic functions normally. I have tried factory resets and re flashing without success.
I also had this problem on 10.2 but did not diagnose the problem. I had resolved this problem previously on a ROM (not CM) by flashing an upgraded ROM. This was before Hangouts I think it was the Illuminiance ROM.
I don't have access to XDA developer forums.
I had no success in google so has this been reported before and should I report it on a different forum?.

Hi guys! I have a problem. On the 4.4.4 firmware AR fun from Google Play works right, but after update to Lollipop I can't use it, because it says that I'm "moving the camera too fast" every time. How I can fix it?

mine is working fine. no issues at all when i used the AR. No root and pure stock Lolli Rom.
I assume that the AR is already included on the update. If it still not working, try uninstalling it and reinstall it VIA google play or reinstall a stock 5.0 FTF.
Hi gang,
Just looking for some help with an issue I have after flashing the CM 14.1 ROM from bgcngm. In that thread another user brings up that they're also having issues using the Android Wear app to pair their phone with their watch, as am I - however bgcngm said that they're having no issues at all.
When trying to open the Android Wear app on the phone, we get this error:
This phone has been flashed with an unsupported configuration for companion. You must re-flash it as either signed/user or unsigned/userdebug.
If there's something we can do on our end to fix this, that would be great news.
Thanks in advance
Edit: Okay, so I might already be bug busting this one myself - it seems on Nougat the version on the Play Store is Wear 2.0, which doesn't seem to want to work. I downloaded a 1.5 APK and installed that and it works just fine. Hmm!
Hi,
I have a Mi9 with the latest stable MIUI.EU. When I try to open any media app, like Spotify or Deezer, through Android Auto, the media app fails to open with a message like:
Spotify doesn't seem to be working at the moment
All the permissions have been gave and there is no battery restriction.
When using the official global rom, all things work as they should.
Someone knows how to solve this?
Tks
EDIT: Solved! Just after posting here I've found this link https://support.google.com/androidauto/thread/14721161?hl=en with the solution
