Can't Root/Unroot

I rooted my phone about 5 months ago and toyed with it a little, but now I noticed it's not rooted anymore. I've been trying to use Pete's tool to either root or unroot it and I keep getting this error:
ERROR: adb could not be granted root access via local.prop method
Any ideas? I'd be happy to either get it rooted or back to stock again.
Thanks

Run this instead, you may have lost root when you got the last update. follow the instructions you will be fine
Have you tried the 4ever root method as described here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1279825
Also, for future instances: It's a good idea to 1) search and if that doesn't answer your questions then 2) always be sure to list what system version you're on or what ROM/rev to help aid in troubleshooting.

if Droid Th3ory's site is still down, someone made this mirror for 4ever root:

this should fix your problem

Tried that with all the options and it didn't work. Even with the pre-release drivers it just said waiting for device when it's at the Fastboot. I tried the other ones and they all failed.
I have been looking for a "root on demand" solution. I have a few custom programs that run for work which require a "non-rooted" android device. I was hoping to find a solution to root my phone, use titanium backup, then un-root but have not been successful in finding something like that.
FYI, if psouza4's oneclick root fails,
AND
43V3R root failed too,
THEN
try the ROTA893 root (obviously only works on .893 firmware)

Lg l90 no root!

Please help!

Waiting for some development before buying this phone
What methods have you guys tried already to root your device? If you haven't tried these no guarantees they will work but these are worth trying, this, this, and finally this.

I can help you guys
Try "fastboot oem unlock" while in fastboot and see
Framaroot is worth a try as it works on moto g and galaxy grand 2
Same chipset should provide a same rooting method
Press thanks :good: if I've helped :highfive:

me too...i want to root my LG L90! but I don't know...

I do not recommend attempting to root a device without a confirmed safe method. Chances are 1 of 3 things will happen: 1) Nothing. 2) Root. 3) Soft brick. If you decide to continue, know that I have NO clue if this will work as these phones are very new and I have not gotten a chance to play with one. This might not do anything. This might set your phone on fire, burn the house down, and/or make you sterile. You should not try this unless you are comfortable with getting out of bootloops with the KDZ updater (if it is available for your phone yet) or the LG Update program. All that aside, if you are brave, you can try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48709232&postcount=869&nocache=1&z=7334539103321731
It's one of the only programs that has had much success with rooting the newer LG phones and firmwares. Good luck!
can not..

i have tested it...ioroot25 can not root L90
What step does it fail at? Any error messages? Just saying it didn't work without any other details isn't very helpful.
I am also looking for a root....experts please help !!!

So is there any confirmed way to get the root?
Just bought this phone and have no free memory and lots of advertisements in PlayStore apps.
First question
Is the bootloader unlocked by default? (should'nt be actually)
Try @bi4nary's root with restore
Or superoneclickroot
Or kingo root

No, it's not. Those have all been tried, and none of them support Kit Kat. And SuperOneClick? That hasn't worked since GB...
The best idea is ioroot. It roots most LG phones with kitkat firmware. Check it on xda.
But the problem is that we need to get to recovery. But button combinations and adb command do not boot to recovery, only normal boot.
No root till we find the way to boot it to recovery.

I think LG L90 have recovery because when I boot into factory reset mode, the background is Android recovery background. I don't know if we can force to do something else, but I think apk file of settings may be useful. I'm now trying to extract my phone's kdz file with no sucess.
L70 Problem
Same problem as LG L70. I tried many root method and can't find a single one to work. Even with ioroot also because of the No recovery mode problem. And also manual mode of IOroot. But if there is a way that someone can edit it's firmware, a kdz file, we might get L70 and L90 rooted, I hope someone can help us.
root l90..
I really need to root l90 .. ... I hope you can help solve extremely grateful ..

Guide to Root without Pc

Hello,
I'm buying much devices, test it and sell it.
But I like the zuk z1 very much (SOT is awesome)
So I search for a possibility to root the device,
Without going to the pc (adb method or smth) or just lazy like me.
Setup:
New z1 / 3AJ Firmware
Download kingroot Click me
Guide:
Download kingroot and open it,
Follow the instructions. U should be rooted.
Proof in the attachment, I hope it works for u all.
Bugs:
Some apps doesn't work. Better battery stats is one who don't work.
Edit:
BBS worked! , need two reboots to get it to work.
Maybe more, report if u try this method.
Just wait for CyanogenMod, no MS-Apps, no Bing, no 1 million Google Apps, Root just one click...
Hm.
U can freeze or de-install all that ****ty apps. ^^
Won't rooting stop the software updates which it clearly needs? That's what's stopping me atm
You can also get Supersume at the plays store to get rid of KingRoot, and put in CF Supersu.

I recall seeing that link a while back, but I could not find it, but I heard about Supersume, so I went that route instead.
I have ordered my Zuk Z1 on Thursday. I hope it will arrive until Tuesday. So I'm orientating already about how to root and so on. I don't see why you should root with Kingroot as you don't get updates from Cyanogen anymore when you have rooted the phone. It's a lot easier to unlock bootloader, flash TWRP and than flash SuperSu in my opinion, isn't it? Or do I miss something?
As far as I know, the problem is not Kingroot, but rather that in process of rooting the system partition is changed to read and write (r/w). Now every time the ota update script is running, they check if the that is the case and if so won't install the ota.
Just btw. I read in an other post here, that SuperSU replaces some files and that even if you should unroot, they still change them back, which also prohibits the OTA update script from running.
Which ever way you root and whatever recovery you have installed, you can still sideload the the updates, without loosing any of your data.
Download the "...ham-signed.zip" from this link
Here is the link to the post about the OTA files:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/development/official-ota-update-links-ota-updating-t3226990
And give Breadcrust and Radii a thanks next time you see one of their posts
P.S.: I have no clue of any of these things/ I am in no way a developer, it's just what I have found out so far, what it comes down to...

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 5.1.1 - Rooting Help

Hi There,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (Model SM-T710) and I'm trying to root it. I was able to get it done using KingoRoot via my PC but every time I restart my device, It tells me I need to re-root it.
The Kingo SuperUser app that installs after my device was rooting also is having trouble working with Titanium Pro.
Could someone point me in the direction of the most stable way to Root my device? I would even be willing to donate some funds for someone to walk me through.
My goal is to have Titanium Pro well with my rooted device.
Thanks in advance!

Just follow the instructions given to install twrp.
If you need to know how to use odin, search on google there's tons of guides.
Once you have twrp installed flash the file below with twrp to gain root.

Ensure you uninstall Kingroot and kingOroot root before hand.
