I have an unlocked Note8, bought directly from Samsung. I'm using it on StraightTalk (on Verizon network) an I'm not getting voicemail notifications. There's no voicemail app on the phone, and no visual voicemail or similar to turn off. Any ideas how to get voicemail working?

I switched my Droid Turbo over to ST a few months ago and can not get the voicemail to work. If I dial the *86 or the cell number it think it is calling Verizon's system and not ST.
Is there a was to point the phone to ST so I can setup voicemail?
Is there any option to get the Visual Voicemail working on an S8+ bought on amazon? I flashed the VZW firmware and even after a factory reset there's no bloatware (which I don't want anyway) or visual voicemail. My VoLTE started working again (thank god), but the voicemail would be nice to have.
Hello all,
I have a Verizon S8 and the Straight Talk Verizon sim card. The phone works just fine but the voicemail app doesn't work. Is there any settings or anything I can change to let it work, or is there any other app I can use?
Thanks
I purchased my unlocked Note8 phone from Samsung and I am on the Verizon network using StraightTalk as my provider. There is no voice message icon or notification. Is there a workaround or a voice message app that I should install?
Thank you.
Try youmail. I used it on my note 4 because I wanted visual voicemail. I use straight talk too but AT&T sim.
I'm on Straighttalk as well and always use Google Voice, works well for me...

You AT&T or VZW? Just curious as to whether it would be beneficial for me to flash att carrier stuff. I want VOLTE and wifi calling but I see few if any posts about straight talk and how or if its possible
Sometimes on my Pixel 5a, when someone leaves a voicemail I receive a notification immediately, and sometimes it's delayed a day or more (which can really be a problem if it's important!). There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which voicemails II'm notified of immediately, and which ones have delayed notification.
I think this is likely a problem with my discount carrier (H2o, which uses ATT service), but I wanted to check if anyone else had experienced it with this phone to rule that out. I've checked the voicemail settings in the phone app, and it is set to my carrier, with the correct number, and the notifications are on. I don't use visual voicemail, it is turned off.
