Verizon Visual Voicemail on unlocked S8+ - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

Is there any option to get the Visual Voicemail working on an S8+ bought on amazon? I flashed the VZW firmware and even after a factory reset there's no bloatware (which I don't want anyway) or visual voicemail. My VoLTE started working again (thank god), but the voicemail would be nice to have.

Verizon Moto X on T-Mobile - Visual Voicemail Issue

I am using the Verizon variant of the Moto X on T-Mobile and cannot get any visual VM services to work- I have tried YouMail and GV, and tried to manually set up both and I get an error that states "call forwarding cannot be set up while roaming"
I am sitting smack dab in the middle of Tmo LTE. Is there a way to by pass that. No matter what I try all voice mails are just stuck at the carrier.
Thoughts?
Thanks
If I insert a friends sim card, and link my GV acct, can I put sim in and link still, or will his number be stuck to GV?
Have you updated to 4.4.4?
Pre 4.4.4 the Verizon version didn't work well with GSM.
I have the same phone with 4.4.4 and downloaded the T-mobile visual voice mail app from Google Play and everything works fine. I'm not familiar with a Google Voice setup but my visual voice mail works with my t-mobile number.
Verizon seems to have blocked Google Voice on the XT1060. I tried setting it up and it wouldn't work on either a T-Mobile SIM or Verizon SIM. They're forcing you to use Verizon Visual VM, but I'm not sure what exactly is causing it. With a Verizon SIM, the error message is different. It basically says that the phone can't be setup for GV.
There are Verizon permissions in system related directories, so that's probably how.
No idea what I did, but we went camping this weekend and I was roaming most of the time, didnt make any calls or anything.
However I did miss a call today and sure enough, I received the VM on google voice. All is right in the world now, no idea how i fixed it though.

Voicemail Notification StraightTalk

I have an unlocked Note8, bought directly from Samsung. I'm using it on StraightTalk (on Verizon network) an I'm not getting voicemail notifications. There's no voicemail app on the phone, and no visual voicemail or similar to turn off. Any ideas how to get voicemail working?

Unlocked Note8 Purchased from Samsung - No Voice Message Notification on StraightTalk

I purchased my unlocked Note8 phone from Samsung and I am on the Verizon network using StraightTalk as my provider. There is no voice message icon or notification. Is there a workaround or a voice message app that I should install?
Thank you.
Try youmail. I used it on my note 4 because I wanted visual voicemail. I use straight talk too but AT&T sim.
I'm on Straighttalk as well and always use Google Voice, works well for me...

Switching from SM-960U1 to SM-960U VZW question

I tried flashing my originally SM-960U1 device to a SM-960U Verizon firmware hoping I could get access to all the Verizon specific features like WiFi calling and visual voicemail. I believe that WiFi calling is working properly but visual voicemail doesn't and support said this device will not work based on my IMEI.
Has anyone had luck with this?

Question U1 firmware and U HOME_CSC

I notice that with AT&T phones, there are posts about flashing HOME_CSC for AT&T to U1 firmware to enable AT&T functions. Is this just for AT&T, since they don't make their U firmware publicly available? I was wondering how well it worked and if it worked on other firmwares. In my case, I use Xfinity, and either I can have U1 firmware with it's superior call screening but visual voicemail that doesn't work right, or flash the U firmware and get voicemail working and lose the call screening of the U1 firmware, and I was wondering if I could somehow get both working. I've also noticed that Xfinity started updating their voicemail app again that I could use, but from what I remember about that app a few years back, it was incredibly slow, and it also changes the voice mail box in a way that prevents the normal Voicemail app from working at all.
I ended up flashing my unlocked U1 with the ATT software since I had switched from Tmobile to ATT, and everything works correctly, the visual voicemail, wifi calling and I liked the looks of ATT data icons better, and I still get OTA updates.
I have an unlocked ATT device which I am using overseas, do you know if I can flash a U1 firmware to be able to get OTA updates to this device? Currently I'm not getting any.....
