Vibration messed up on Oreo? - Nokia 8 Questions & Answers

After updating to Oreo, vibration has become weak and it also makes a annoying buzzing sound when ever I tap on hardware keys or use gboard.
Anyone else having same problem??

Nope mine seems the same

No problem here

My Nokia 8 is still on nougat. But similar symptoms appeared on my other device (google pixel) after oreo update. Vibration becomes much more noisy. Oreo must have made some changes on vibration. You can turn vibration off in phone settings and gboard settings but I'm affraid there's no way to adjust it (except Xposed in the future maybe).

cannot switch display on anymore

I have a very strange an annoing bug.
I recently updated to the latest swift rom version and I installed "gpsvp" don't know is that is connected in a any way.
My problem is that sometimes I cannot switch my display on anymore. I can adjust the soundlevel (I hear the volume-change sound or the vibration) but the display is still off. Neither a soft-reset nor removeing the battery help.
Any ideas? It is VERY strange...

Volume level after restart

I didn't find anything when searching for this so I'm wondering if anyone else experiences an issue with notification volume occasionally being higher after a restart. The notification level is still set to the same level but notifications are really loud. Changing the notification level doesn't do anything and the only way I can get it back to normal is to restart again, sometimes several times. It did this with Lollipop, Marshmallow and now with Nougat so I wonder if it's an issue with my phone.

Vibration during calls

Hey all,
I can't seem to kill vibration during calls. No matter what all incoming notifications still vibrate during calls. If vibration is enabled on the silent slider setting the phone vibrates all the time. If I disable that, everything is silent. There seems to be no middle ground. The phone vibrating during call is really getting to me. I'm on OOS 4.02 currently rooted. Anyone else have this issue?
Hi!
This is a known issue in Android 7.x.x (see Issue 220951: 7.0 Nougat vibration during call problem in the Google forums, not allowed to post link here)
However, Google fixed this issue by a workaround in an updated phone app in Android 7.1.1 for pixel phones. The updated phone app automatically sets Do Not Disturb mode while calling.
Unfortunately this fix is not available to OnePlus 3(T) phones in Android 7.1.1 as I still experience the issue myself. The phone app cannot be manually updated to the version of the pixel phones, because the newer versions are not compatible with the OS.
I opened a ticket with the OnePlus support and kindly ask you to do the same, since this might increase the pressure on OnePlus to fix the issue.
Best regards
Really annoying issue, I've opened a ticket with Oneplus for this as well.

Pie vibration strength

I just updated my P10 to Android 9, and remarked that the vibration intensity is changed, it's weaker than it was on 8.0, is it just me or you guys felt the same?
I felt that vibration is changed, but in my case it feels stronger.
Not in my case, when I'm taping the keyboard stops vibration on some keys, it's just annoying

Disabling short vibration for "low priority" notifications?

Hello,
I am using a Mi9 t Pro for little longer than half a year now ... And it still bugs me, if vibration is enabled the phone will vibrate on every notification entry.
Not only on messages, calls, etc... but on play store updates, youtube routines like refreshing downloaded videos or similar background tasks... Notifications no other os i used has cared about. (Thats why I call them low prio)
However vibration is crucial for me, since I have the phone muted most of the time, it is really annoying to have these short vibrations.
These vibrations are not like the normal ones, they are really short, only a short "brrr", no pattern (brr brr) or a long vibration like the normal notifications make.
Within the normal settings I haven't found anything but disabling all vibrations.
Hidden Settings for Miui dosn't have anything helpful, at least I haven't found anything.
In 4A SetEdit I took a look at the system table but can't really tell if there is a setting for this problem...
Maybe someone here can help? Especially with SetEdit, maybe more in depth rom insight can help here, which I am missing.
Thanks
