I very much doubt it unless you want to mess up your Note 8! I have the N9500 too & don't intend to root ... I always rooted & used custom ROMs on my Note 4, 3 & 2!

International Rom for At&t

Can we flash an international rom for the At&t Note 3? Looks like there is more development on that side then on At&t...?

Using Safestap, yes. I have X_Note 7 and loaded Stainless from T-Mobile international. Using SS, try one and if it doesn't work, delete it. Yuo wily be flashing the system files. Auroma doesn't work, so there are extra steps.

Question on T-Mobile note 4 purchase

Haven't had a note in a while and thinking about picking up a note 4. I am with T-Mobile and would purchase the T-Mobile version, I read about different variants and just wanted to make sure they could all be rooted, custom recovery and flashed without issue. In some of the threads here when people have issues, others ask what variant, etc.
Thanks

Get the sm-n910t (t-mobile version). Very mod friendly.

The T-Mobile version comes with the bootloader unlocked out of the box. You can do whatever you want with/to it.
I just purchase a T-Mobile Note 4 on 11/17/15 from one of their store. The model that I got is the SM-N910T3 and not SM-N910T. It comes with Android 5.1.1 installed instead of 4.4.4. You will probably end up with this model. Does anyone know if this variant is still bootloader unlocked? I also read that the TW 5.1.1 rom has root blocking enabled by Samsung, can anyone recommend a custom kernel that can override this to prevent a bootloop?
T is better for ROM Support VS. T3. T3 may be smooother

You want the T version for more ROM compatibility. The T3 version can be rooted and has a few ROMS but supposedly Samsung changed something in the phone so it has alot less ROM support. It does have root and 1 or 2 good ROM's though.
Root for T3
More info on T3

Did you ever end up buying this phone? I have been thinking about picking up a used one on Swappa to use as my daily driver until Samsung releases the S8 or Note 8. I currently have a LG V10 and even though it has an unlocked bootloater and root, there is zero ROM development for it due to issues with LG firmware/drivers.

just got a new note 4 want to verify instructions

So basically first I should update to MM
after that use this guide to root and install custom recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...sy-steps-stock-odin-n910tuvu1anih-cf-t2903733
After that can I use any rom in snapdragon section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev
or can I only use note 4 tmobile roms?
I use it internationally so I dont care about wifi calling
am I missing anything I used to use an htc device so I am not sure how samsungs work.
To root, follow this guide once you have MM upgraded.

It's in the General section. Good luck!

hey man after that can I use any snapdragon roms or only tmobile specific roms?
Any ROM for the Tmobile variant, as long as that's the phone you have. If it's an AT&T variant on the TMO network, then you need a AT&T ROM, ETC ..

Couple of questions about Note 8

Hello all.
I just received an "unlocked" Sprint Note 8 cellphone N950U and Im a little confused.
I used to had a Note 4 that i flashed with a U firmware that removed all the bloatware, is this avaible for the Note 8?
Why arent custom roms or a stable root (magisk) avaible for this cellphone?
Had a lot of time retired from Samsung side (OnePlus guy here) but was stolen during a car accident that i had this weekend.
Thanks a lot and dont forget your safety belt while driving!

EDIT: Never mind... wrong link if you want to root the phone. This is your only option to root on snapdragon. I would suggest you read through that thread.

Note 8 is locked bootloader ....there will be no twrp for it until it's unlocked ....which probably won't ever happen .. root is available but not once it's updated past bootloader v3 ...it's the only phone I have had that I didn't root ....I have flashed the Oreo roms and the unlocked versions .... But there aren't any custom roms ...

Oreo has not been OFFICIALLY released for the Note8. There has been some leaked builds, but none for the unlocked U1 firmware. So if you want Oreo, you'll have to go with carrier firmware.

Dear God no. Unless you want a brick.
Now, seriously, all of your questions have been answered in detail, and in guides, here on XDA. I highly encourage you to use the search bar and do some research of your own.

You asked about unlocked firmware. That would be U1 firmware.
