How to lock the own bootloader Huawei P8 Lite ALE-L21 before sent to warranty for reparation?
Well, he found a way for this enigma and let's see together what should we do.
Requirements:
- Unlocked bootloader;
- TWRP recovery;
- ALE-L21C432B049 (B052 for dual SIM);
- ALE-L21C432B595 (B596 for dual SIM);
- ALE-B895 (B896 for dual SIM) (it's the Emui 4.1). Thanks to surdu_petru for uploading.
This rom should be installed and running before "lock the bootloader" so pay attention about the steps I did and what I mean.
Locking Bootloader:
- Do a factory reset by wipe all partition from recovery.
- Reboot to Bootloader.
- Flash via fastboot C432B049 (B052 for dual SIM).
fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
fastboot flash cust CUST.img
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
- Do a factory reset from settings once the device is running and don't worry if you see unlocked bootloader.
- Now extract the UPDATE.APP from C432B595 (B596 for dual SIM), create a dload folder on sdcard and paste that update file inside it.
- Reboot the device by press vol up + vol down together and release them when update process is starting up.
- Now sit and drink something because update process can take some minutes with many automated reboots.
- Run OTA update as latest step.
- Now your bootloader should be "LOCKED" and not "RELOCKED" like the following image, happy locking..

Thanks! Will try that in a few days, when I get my new Mate 10. I don't want to mess up and be without a phone right now
Hi, i have my last days in warranty, after i lock my bootloader how can i brick it to send it to the reparation, hopefully they change my phone to a brand new one, or at least mainboard etc...
I guess you can't brick your phone with locked bootloader. This phone ain't that bad xD
Flashing a wrong boot.img will brick it? I mean old esal 2.2 for emui 4.1...Than if they don't accept it back, i will repair it.
I think you can't flash anything if you don't have unlocked bootloader.

They accepted my phones 2 times with booth unlocked bootloader with twrp, but why you need to brick it again if your bootloader is locked?

I don't think you will ever find a way to do it because whatever you do it will be solved with just reflash firmware. Sorry but you can't get another one that easy especially with locked bootloader

I just bought a Xperia Z from T-Mobile myself today (Blackberry Trade in Promo, $6 down!) and was just literally talking about this very concern.
I'm going to bypass the Bootloader Unlock and attempt a root/recovery without unlocking it. At that point there shouldn't be an issue with flashing a custom rom. As long as you can flash back to stock (stock recovery, stock firmware) you should be fine. There seems to be a handy "flashtool" in one of the stickies that will explain how to do this.
I imagine you at that point should be fine. I would advise: do not unlock your bootloader. Most OEMs (I worked for HTC for many years) watermark your device and it's a pain trying to remove it.
Worst case scenario you can always do a warranty exchange to get a fresh device before JUMP upgrading later.

Thanks...that's good to know. I know on the nexus devices it has a unlocked watermark on the boot screen. I'll try the flash tool out
You cannot unlock the bootloader on the C6606 anyway, so therefore you cannot run CM11 (or any CM/PAC/AOSP/AOKP based rom) as running the custom kernel it requires needs an unlocked bootloader. The most you can do is flash stock based custom roms.
To verify this for yourself, enter *#*#7378423#*#* in the dialler, then look in Service info -> Configuration. You will see that it says 'Bootloader unlock allowed : No'.
When you need to return the phone, just flash a stock C6606 FTF with Flashtool and there is no way they can detect that you rooted it or flashed another rom.

Is there a certain flashtool for c6606
Latest flashtool will work. I broke the screen on my first C6606 within first couple days and after rooting and installing custom stock rom. The screen didn't work though I suppose I still could've reverted to pure stock. Anyways, they replaced it with no questions asked and as mentioned above reverting is simple.

i have same problem. i bought second hand mi's phone. previous owner use miui eu rom and i don't know. i update to miui global rom step by step in website xiaomi and it can't boot then i load firmware fastboot to install by xiaomi flash tool. i press flash rom (program choose clean all and lock by default) then my phone stuck in bootloop.
I ran into the same problem before. Before doing anything else, you have to unlock bootloader again. This shouldn't waste you any time as you have unlocked before

I'm exactly in your same ****.

Hey man I did the same thing and what I did was restarted my phone on fastboot mode and used the xiaomi tool again to unlock it again and it worked, since you already have waited de 300 + hours for the authorization, you can do it as many times as you want. Once the phone reboot it will start as normal andnit will ask you to enter the account you user to unlock it and that's it.
bricked mi8 please help
hei, here is my situation ... i ve bought a mi8 china version (i didn't know) and i-ve briked my phone flasing a global rom . The boot loader is locked and my phone goes stright into recovery mode. What should I do to resurect my phone? Is there any chance to help me with an unlock? can someone log to my computer via teamviewer just to hit unlock with a authorised account? please msg me on watsap +40766267128. Thankyou verry much and I apreciate!
This won't help much but hopefully it will help someone: DO NOT LOCK bootloader if phone is china version and you installed global rom.
I purchased my Xiaomi Mi 8 from Dubai (Awok.com with 1 week warranty) in Sept 2018 and used it only for few weeks. one night when the phone was charging, the next day morning I found the phone was in the reboot status with the "MI" logo in black background and not doing anything further, I tried to turn off and on and still the same status. Now not even the "MI" logo and when I charge I don't see any screen status, I believe the phone is dead or bricked.
For your information, my phone is a Chinese version and not a Global version!
Any help is highly appreciated as I don't have budget to buy another phone

Pd: this method is easier and faster than with DC unlocker, just know how to uncover the phone without damaging anything.

Sorry, but the operation only worked on one device (single sim). With the other (same model of smartphone but dual sim), once the procedure is completed, the error "Your Device Has Failed Verification And May Not Work Properly" appears. The phone gets stuck on that screen! If I repeat the procedure by checking the item "Disable FBLOCK" it works but the bootloader remains unlocked. I also tried flashing the bootloader for Kirin659 (A) and Kirin659 (B) but nothing.
How can I solve?
Good news, I solved it by downloading and installing a rom in eRecovery mode!!!! Now the bootloader is also locked in the other smartphone!
Doing this process can I change the ROM FIG-LX3 to FIG-LX1?
Hello, I pre-ordered the Mi 11 from my phone carrier (SFR, France) and so I own the phone since launch and there have been no OTA updates.
I'm running MIUI Global 12.0.2.0(RKBEUSF). I can't flash a more recent EU rom because I can't unlock my bootloader. Whenever I go to unlock status and press the button, it says something about it being impossible to verify, no matter what I do. I'm basically stuck with this rom. There are numerous bugs (notably gesture navigation doesn't work at all, the bar at the bottom doesn't do anything, I have to use the 3 buttons instead). Anyone know what to do? Thanks!
Google how to unlock bootloader for mi 11. There is a whole procedure to follow. Hitting the unlock button alone is not working.

but that's like the first part no? If I can't do this then I can't unlock it at all.
I had exactly the same ROM because i had the Mi 11 Cloud White with a fu****g RKBEUSF instead of RKBEUXM... So you can't upgrade in local mode.
You must ask for unlock bootloader, for this you must :
1/ Create a Mi Account
2/ Donwload Xiaomi Unlock available here
3/ Your Phone will be listed "Locked" (Blue) or "Unlocked" (Red), if it's locked, you must click Unlock for asking Unlock ticket, and you must wiat after that 168 hours [1 week]. Don't try to ask before this delay if not waiting delay is resetted.
4/ Before the Unlock you must save / backup all your data (DCIM, Contacts, SMS, etc...) because Unlock Bootloader causiing a full Wipe / Delete Data partition.
5/ After waiting 1 Week (i advise to try to unlock after 1 hour more for be sure), launch again Xiaomi Unlock, click unlock... Unlock process check Xiaomi servers... And it's done !
After that you will finally use Mi Flash Tool here and flash your ROM Global RKBEUXM in fastboot mode. You can found the lastest rom here : venus_eea_global_images_V12.5.2.0.RKBEUXM
You must extract the *.tgz (with a archiver like 7Zip or WinRAR) and put the path in Mi Flash Tool, and here we goooo for approximatively 8/10 minutes
Can i lock my bootloader afterwards to restore OTA updates?
The unlocker is asking me to connect my account on the mi unlock status page on my phone. I tried it (again) and this appeared. Nothing I do changes this. Any ideas?

I did but after removing it and adding it back, it finally worked. I'll proceed with the unlocking then.
But before I do it, I gotta ask. Does it void my warranty? Can I relock the bootloader afterwards? Can I receive OTA updates? Thanks!

Sure, after passed on EEA your bootloader will be relock. Unlock bootloader (for Xiaomi) do not void warranty.
Personnaly i prefer keep unlock on my 12.5.2 EU for Root.
After be passed on EUXM you will have OTA on your original canal, finish the custom EUSF (SFR)
I flashed miui 13.0.9 global in Indian varient and mistakenly locked it, so I have camera issues (green tint) I tried to add mi account to unlock the bootloader but it show device basic verification failed, anyway to change the rom in locked state?

Unlock the bootloader
Have you tried formatting data on that locked state to maybe fix that device verification? I don't know if it works but you can use the OTA update rename trick to I guess switch region on locked bootloader. I don't know if it works because I personally haven't tested it. It works in downgrading though.

Don't. Bad idea. Never downgrade by changing and renaming the zip file after verification in updater app WHILE still being locked. Chances are you might brick your phone.
If you have unlocked before, try to run "fastboot oem unlock" in fastboot mode to unlock it again. You should be able to unlock it without needing Mi Account.

Alright that didn't work as expected. I noticed mi unlock flashed unlock.bin to the unlock partition at first time unlocking bl, so I assume that partition would still be intact even you have relocked it.
Try to unlock it using mi unlock and your account which use to unlock, no need to bind the mi account again since it won't work anyway.
