Dear all genius!
My note 5 is N920I model. The led screen was broken as a result cannot access to the screen (completely black). However i believe the system still functions as i can connect it to adb via recovery and pull some files from the devices.
What i don't know is the default path for the internal storage. With the path i should be able to retrieve my files (music and photos that i am after).
Can anyone having note 5 help pls?
Thanks
Please someone reply , answer needed for development purposes
I believe it's /storage/emulated/0.

Hi,
Could anyone maybe tell me in which directory / folder sms converstions are stored?
Any answer would be much appreciated! =)
Best regards

Yes this would be very handy to know. Anyone?
It's regarded as app data, so probably somewhere in /dbdata. That's part of the root folder (only accessible if your phone is rooted, or through adb).
ok so I have been trying and trying for days to pull up some files that i had hidden through an app that turned all my .jpegs into #jpegs on my phones internal memory but unfortunately the entire folder has been deleted and because i had hidden the files the normal programs to pull deleted files wont work my question is this. Does anyone know of a decent way to try and recover these files? no I'm not looking to get back deleted porn I'm trying to recover hidden screen shots I took.
running at&t note 3 on 4.4.2
Sorry for probably wrong-posting, but I need a solution _fast_!! Can anybody help me _please_?
I'm a Windows user, I don't really know much about Linux-based systems & thus am not able to interpret any logs or do Linux console commands and stuff... and the fbind readme / help isn't all that easy to understand for Linux-illiterates either. Problem:
I mounted a folder from my external SD card to my internal SD by adding the following line to the config.txt file:
from_to InternalFolder .externalfolder
This seems to _work_, my 'old' app (Maverick from Code Sector) now sees all map tile data that is actually on the external card within the internal folder & can access it.
However, after 2 days or so, the folder link suddenly seems to be 'gone' (internal folder shows as empty). Only solution is to reboot the phone, then all is back to normal again.
I already tried to turn off battery savings for the Magisk app and for Maverick, with had no effect.
Question: what could cause this 'disappearance' of an as it seems correctly bound folder? What could I do to keep such links 'alive' even when they are not used/accessed for a longer time? Is there an *easy way* to 'reset' fbind without rebooting the phone? Or did I forget an important command in the config.txt / should I add something beside the above line?
I'm running Android Marshmallow on a Samsung Galaxy S5 mini DuoS
I have a Note 9 Exynos dual sim, stock Android 9.
I used a new video software and recorded something important that saves into folder /storage/emulated/150/video
I can not find this file anywhere, possibly because I am not rooted? The adb pull command doesn't work either.
I can see and play the file from the apps internal gallery but that is it....I can't upload to onedrive or transfer to PC.
What needs to be done to get this file from my phone to PC?
Thank you for your help.

go into your file manager and move it to another folder or your external SD card. If you can move it internally, you should be able to view it from your PC and therefore transfer it. If you cant move it internally (cant imagine why you wouldnt be able to) then youre hosed. But that sounds like a unicorn situation.
Thanks but I cannot see it in any file manager I have checked so far. I only see it in the Apps own gallery...

Is the app a secret too?
It's called Quick Video Recorder. It's great for one button instant record function... But it isn't great if you want your videos off your phone it seems ?
Can I root safely without losing my data? From what I've read online rooting removes knox encryption and Samsung Pay and this can't be reversed... Is that correct?
SOLVED!
I solved this by putting the file manager app into the secure folder where the app is located. Then I could navigate to it. Makes sense really.

For WhatsApp chat backup better use the WhatsApp built in backup feature.
It creates s backup of all your chats and can synchronize it to your Google drive.
Meh always best to store files in their original format. Always redundantly backup critical data to at least 2 hdds that are physically and electronically isolated from each other.
At 10 years you are past the safe storage window for hdds. Every five years or less they should be recopied to avoid possible degradation of the data. Storing in a cool temperature stable place helps. Higher temperatures demagnitize the image faster.
Make a copy of the data now.
As for Kies, it's dicey. I stopped using it years ago.
