Hi all,
Since weeks ago I counldn't make any phone call with my huawei p10 (cannot call and receive call). But I can send/ receive texto and use my 4G.
After made some testing with an other phone. The sim card work well (call/text/internet). But when I put an other sim card on my huawei p10, I can make phone call but cannot receive call. I don't why....
After reset to factory, the problem is still here.
The problem is from my hardware, my rom or my sim card ?
Which model do you have? Maybe it's a carrier branded P10?

I have TytN for last 3 years, a week ago it turned the phone off and could not work. When I flashed it and put Generation 2 SIM phone can recieve calls but cant make. I receive a notice that maybe signal is bad or phone number wrong
but if somebody calls the call is received
When I use it with UMTS SIM the phone refuse to start and stay in flght mode for ever
Help please

Did you try with another sim? It looks like there is no phone problem, it's sounds more a sim one.

Have you try that sim in another phone?. Try a hard reset then and see if that solves your problem.

My name is Renato and I'm from Brazil. Some weeks ago I bought a Galaxy Note N7000 unlocked by TIM operator. It comes with
android 4.0.3 and I never updated the android or did any hacks.
Well, until yesterday, everything was fine. But yesterday, when the phone starts, it find the operator's signal but after some seconds it enter on the
emergency calls only status. Also, even it's blocked for emergency calls only, I can use the internet 3g without a problem! Very very strange...
I already checked my sim card and It works on my older nokia without a problem. Also, I put another sim from another operator (Oi operator) and it works without a problem too. Also I check my sim status at my operator and it´s unblocked too. I did a factory reset too and nothing changes...
Looks like my galaxy note cannot work with TIM sims anymore?
Please if somebody have an idea about this error, please let me know.

When in the UK, I can use any sim card from any carrier and they work. Now that I am in the US for 6 months, I tried using a US sim card. When I try to make a call or text, the phone loses signal. The sim works in another phone. I tried with two US sim cards and they have the same problem. Is this meant to happen? How can I fix it?
I am on RIL/Baseband v30a. I tried changing the ROM and the same thing happens!

EDIT: Oops, made a mistake, UK sim card doesn't work here either. Just says Call Ended when trying to call a number (or Out of Service Area and then loses signal all together)

I have recently bought a huawei p10. It was a carrier unlocked phone. Since i got the phone i'm having trouble receiving text messages. About 80% of the messages sent to me didn't arrive. There is no rule or pattern in what kind of messages i am not receiving.
I tried updating, factory resetting the phone, checked the settings, tried with other SIM cards from other carriers, nothing helped.
I even took it to a service center, it was hardware tested and tested for the problem, but of corse nothing was found.
I was wondering if this problem cozld be solved by installing a stock huawei p10 rom, what is nor modifies by the carrier i bought the phone?
Or have somebody encountered the same priblem and found a solution?

Call your sim provider they should help you by following some steps
It already has been done. I've been told that they can see in there system, that the messages arriving to the sim card. I also changed sim card 3 times in the last 3 months.

I got the update to android 10 yesterday and installed it. My provider is Vodafone DE.
After update, I'm not able to make any calls (or receive ones) anymore.
I already figured out, that this problems does not exists when I'm disable 4G and switch to 3G only.
I also tried out another carrier (Telekom DE), there the problem does not exists (VOLTE is activated).
I cleaned the cache of phone app and google play services. I also already resettet the network several times.
Any more suggestions what could be problem / how to make phone calls working with 4G enabled?

I have exactly the same problem, after update to ANdroid 10 no phone calls with 2G or 4G via vodafone in Germany, SMS and (apparently most of the time?) mobile data works in all 2G/3G/4G; another SIM card from the german provider Telefonica/O2 (under the lable BLAU) works fine; the Vodafone SIM also works in my old mobile.
I noticed something else: in the SIM-card settings (where e.g. the color can be chosen for SIM 1 or 2), while under "Mobilfunkanbieter" for the BLAU-SIM card, there appears O2 -.de, vor the vodafone card, it sais "unbekannt"
Did you already find a solution?
I ordered a new Vodafone SIM, same problem; even resetting the whole device to factory mode didn´t help.
Probalb you are aware of a similar (yet apparently sifferent) problem with Nokia 8.1 in automn (I´m not supposed to post URLs here, you may prbably find it yourself in the vodafone forum, the thread there is in German)?
