Hey there
I have recently bought a huawei p10. It was a carrier unlocked phone. Since i got the phone i'm having trouble receiving text messages. About 80% of the messages sent to me didn't arrive. There is no rule or pattern in what kind of messages i am not receiving.
I tried updating, factory resetting the phone, checked the settings, tried with other SIM cards from other carriers, nothing helped.
I even took it to a service center, it was hardware tested and tested for the problem, but of corse nothing was found.
I was wondering if this problem cozld be solved by installing a stock huawei p10 rom, what is nor modifies by the carrier i bought the phone?
Or have somebody encountered the same priblem and found a solution?
Thanks all
Call your sim provider they should help you by following some steps
It already has been done. I've been told that they can see in there system, that the messages arriving to the sim card. I also changed sim card 3 times in the last 3 months.

Okey so ive had my diamond for 3 weeks and have had this issue. The device worked fine for 2 weeks except for this problem that it keeps dropping the connection and just says "no service" but when i disable and re-enable the phone radio i get full signal. However one time the device froze and i had to soft reset. After which it said the "sim card is missing, you can make emergency calls if your service provider supports it" when the sim card was in the phone. I tried resets and cleaning the sim all to no avail. So after not being able to find anyone else with this problem i figured it must be my old 2g sim that had been causing the problems so i went and purchased a new 3g sim from my service provider (mobilezone [switzerland]) and inserted it into the device. Everything starts working again and i figure the problem is fixed. However the phone continues to drop the signal again and again over the next few days and finally kills the sim card again, and displays the same "sim missing..." error. So i have now taken it back to the retailer and they say there seems to be no issue with the device as the technichen inserts a new sim and everything works fine. The thing is that the sim cards are completely broken. They no longer work in any device!!! But it took 2 weeks the first time and 3 days the second, so the technicians agreed to test the device for a couple days, im just sure its gna work fine for that amount of time but screw up again after when i use it again. Can anyone provide any insight into this? I speculate that its perhaps an issue with my service provider since they do not have their own network but use orange (switzerland) with their custom network settings, and when configuring the device the WM6 connection wizard only has 3 options and my provider is not listed, so i use the orange config settings, which i thought may be slightly different and cause problems. Ideas?!?!?
Thanks in advance.
Sam

If it helps, I had to have a new sim to use it in my new phone (not the diamond, a nokia) because it didn't work properly, as it was a relatively old sim.
Hi did you ever get your sim problem sorted, have been experiencing same,
except my sim still work on other phones?
how can I set SMS center in HTC diamond?
I can't send sms and it said I should set my SMS Center in setting
please help me
You should ask your operator for a new SIM card. I got the same error message and after days trying all kinds of ways, I still couldn't set the SMS center number. Then I read about others having the same problem. In all cases a new SIM card proved to be the only solution. And it also worked for me. So, good luck!
Settings>Personal>Phone>Services>Voice Mail and Text Messages...Get Settings...
You can change the Message Center number there. By default it takes the number from the SIM.
this problem only exist in this phone and my other cellphones didn't have problem with my SIM card I test it on P990 and N6681. Also I test it with 2 other oparators SIM
also when try to get Settings... it said Cannot read settings from the network. Try viewing settings later, or disconnect data connection and try again.

I finally went to the local Telfort shop, after I read about the SIM cause/solution. I showed the same error message and swapped SIM's with the girl behind the counter. Her newer SIM worked on my Diamond and my older SIM worked on her Nokia. That proved the combination of my older SIM and the Diamond was the problem. So I got a new SIM for free and now no more problems getting settings and sending SMS
I test my SIM and SMS Center setting exist in SIM card,
anyone know that this problem is related to SPL, RADIO or OS? or may be SIM Lock?
I can recieve SMS and also call with all 3 SIMs

It could be the radio version.. Apart from that I wouldn't know if it's related to anything specific in the Diamond. It looks like there's nothing wrong with my SIM unlocked Diamond and it looked like there wasn't anything wrong as such with my previous SIM, either, as I could send SMS with it on other devices.
Somehow, it's is the combination of those two together. Like you, except for getting the Voice Mail and Text Messages settings, I could receive SMS, call and get all the other network settings with the old SIM. With the new SIM, I can send SMS and get the Voice Mail and Text Messages settings.
but my problem appear after ROM upgrade, before that I used my SIM and phone for more than 2 month
also I used 2 other sims from other oparators and this operator non of them working

I know. I didn't have a problem either with my previous SIM on the stock 1.37 ROM. The problem appeared after flashing a 1.93 ROM. So if you want to keep using your current SIM's, or can't get a newer SIM, you can also flash back your previous ROM and see if that works for you..

I have this problem too!
Although there's already a substitute card on the way...
My card's sms center works ok on normal phones, but not on diamond and ipaq 614c, testes some version's only...
BUT:
Today I tested it on a Qtek S200 with a WM6.1 and it worked fine! strange...
This morning I updated my note to 4.0.4
After updating it suddenly I wasn't able to make any calls or messages. I did some research and I have discovered that my phone had suddenly re-locked itself and is unable to allow my sim to work with it.
After doing more research I have rooted my phone and tried the Galaxy S unlock (which supposedly worked with the Note), and ended up with something like the attached picture. I see random icons but no specific code.
Here's a little background info that may be useful.
I bought this phone over in HK while I was there for vacation. The network lock occured when I first bought the phone but then the store that I bought it from found a way to fix it (without rooting the phone). Even when I upgraded to the OTA ICS there was no problem at all. I don't know why suddenly with this minor update it reset the network settings.
When I look into the mobile networks on my phone's settings a window pops up saying "Insert SIM card: Insert SIM card to access network services".
Which to me was kind of weird since I have inserted my sim into another phone and is able to make phone calls just fine.
Please help me! I have no way of contacting that store that I bought the phone from and I'm in need of getting my phone to work asap.
I am not lazy or anything, I have spent the last few hours trying to figure out how to solve this problem.
I have no experience in flashing a new rom and I really don't intend to do so unless i have no other choice.

You can - I believe - Downgrade to GB and run the unlock tool mentioned in that thread then upgrade again to your ICS..
Will this help?

used this mod and its working
Hi all,
my wife just received her brand new phone yesterday, a Razr i, and we have a pretty annoying problem since unboxing...
When we turn it on, no problem.
But past like 2mn, we loose every networks except WiFi.
When i try to access SIM card it says "no connectivity", like if there is no SIM at all.
If i remove and insert back the SIM, nothing happens.
But if i reboot the phone, all is working again, for 2mn...
I tried several SIMs known working, same problem.
Tried wiping cache, factory reset, same problem.
Phone is under a french carrier (SFR) with their own 4.1.2 rom, it never asked for a system update, 4.1.2 out of the box :silly:
Do anybody see a solution ? I thought of flashing with a stock rom, but if it is a hardware problem, we're ****ed for the warranty...
I think we'll have to send it to the repair center, but it sucks, the phone is brand new, never worked, and she will have to wait 1-2 weeks to get it back...she was so happy to finally have it :crying:

I had the same...
The problem was related to the old SIM being stamped-out to make it a Micro SIM.
The carrier-shop provided me with a new SIM and all worked fine.
Some older SIM cards are not usable to be stamped out as their tolerances were not precise enough.
Good luck...

A new sim card you need
Like i said we tried several other sim cards, known working, the problem was still there :s
We sent it back for a repair or (i'd prefer) a change, because it looks like a problem that i can't resolve myself.
My wife will have to wait 1-2 weeks to get it back and finally have fun with it :s
In the last 30 Mins for no reason my phone with Cambodia mm has not recognised my fingerprint (resolved by factory reset) and has started to not recognise my sim. Just says sim changed restart. Any ideas? It's been fine for 3 days.

Try factory reset.
I looked around online and others were suggesting inserting another sim, restarting it then reverting back to my original sim. That appeared to clear the problem. But the posts didn't explain why this happened in the first place?
I wondered whether a faulty sim was developing, or worse case the phone?
Further info...I moved to ee 3 weeks ago. I'm using it in an unlocked international Galaxy note 5 n920c which has worked perfectly on VODAFONE for 3 months. It seems to work ok on VODAFONE now.
i changed the SIM card on Saturday in an ee store to see if I had a dodgy sim and within a couple of hours the error came back.
ive cleared cache, done a factory reset and even downgraded from Cambodia marshmallow to uae lollipop. So far the error hasn't returned but it's been only a short time....has anyone else had issues?
anyone shed any light on what is going on? Possible to have corrupt cache cleared by the reinstall?
I've seen a lot of threads from Samsung owners using ee SIM cards with the same issue...
