In the last 30 Mins for no reason my phone with Cambodia mm has not recognised my fingerprint (resolved by factory reset) and has started to not recognise my sim. Just says sim changed restart. Any ideas? It's been fine for 3 days.

Try factory reset.
I looked around online and others were suggesting inserting another sim, restarting it then reverting back to my original sim. That appeared to clear the problem. But the posts didn't explain why this happened in the first place?
I wondered whether a faulty sim was developing, or worse case the phone?
Further info...I moved to ee 3 weeks ago. I'm using it in an unlocked international Galaxy note 5 n920c which has worked perfectly on VODAFONE for 3 months. It seems to work ok on VODAFONE now.
i changed the SIM card on Saturday in an ee store to see if I had a dodgy sim and within a couple of hours the error came back.
ive cleared cache, done a factory reset and even downgraded from Cambodia marshmallow to uae lollipop. So far the error hasn't returned but it's been only a short time....has anyone else had issues?
anyone shed any light on what is going on? Possible to have corrupt cache cleared by the reinstall?
I've seen a lot of threads from Samsung owners using ee SIM cards with the same issue...

Hi everyone... I bought a week ago a brand new Sony Xperia.
It was Vodafone braned but supposingly unlocked.
As I inserted my 3 UK sim-card for the first time the phone could not detect any simcard. After a few soft resets I decided to try with a Voafone card and it worked no problem, so I decided to try again my 3 sim-card and with joy this time everything worked to perfection.
After just a couple of days, all of a sudden the phone started losing the network and giving me a "sim card missing error"... this would happen every time I would activate the flight mode, or simply when the phone would lose signal for some reason... or even just randomly, for no reason. I've tried to flash different radios and different ROMs but the problem stays the same.
I know the sim card is ok as I was using it on an orange HTC touch diamond which I had unlocked and everything was working fine.
I have run the ATCommander and it says SIMLOCK=00 0 which I suppose it means the phone is unlocked...
It's as if the phone was randomly locking itself several times a day for no reason... and the only way to make it work is to soft-reset it about 10-15 times in a row... until it recognizes the sim card and then randomly stops working again a few hours later...
What can I do? Shall I just change operator? Has anyone experienced anything like this? Could 3UK and sony Xperia be incompatible?
Please help, I am desperate!!
sim card missing/no service
bro, i've had EXACTlY the same problem!!!
its due to simcard scratching by xperia housing design!
replaced my card and it worx a charm now, haven't had to double softreset yet, and before - it took 10-15 times before it got recognized- TRUST me - its the card, replace it - its free and should solve them pesky no service messages for u
Hi all,
my wife just received her brand new phone yesterday, a Razr i, and we have a pretty annoying problem since unboxing...
When we turn it on, no problem.
But past like 2mn, we loose every networks except WiFi.
When i try to access SIM card it says "no connectivity", like if there is no SIM at all.
If i remove and insert back the SIM, nothing happens.
But if i reboot the phone, all is working again, for 2mn...
I tried several SIMs known working, same problem.
Tried wiping cache, factory reset, same problem.
Phone is under a french carrier (SFR) with their own 4.1.2 rom, it never asked for a system update, 4.1.2 out of the box :silly:
Do anybody see a solution ? I thought of flashing with a stock rom, but if it is a hardware problem, we're ****ed for the warranty...
I think we'll have to send it to the repair center, but it sucks, the phone is brand new, never worked, and she will have to wait 1-2 weeks to get it back...she was so happy to finally have it :crying:
...micro sim

I had the same...
The problem was related to the old SIM being stamped-out to make it a Micro SIM.
The carrier-shop provided me with a new SIM and all worked fine.
Some older SIM cards are not usable to be stamped out as their tolerances were not precise enough.
Good luck...

A new sim card you need
Like i said we tried several other sim cards, known working, the problem was still there :s
We sent it back for a repair or (i'd prefer) a change, because it looks like a problem that i can't resolve myself.
My wife will have to wait 1-2 weeks to get it back and finally have fun with it :s
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have searched and could not find an answer to my issue. I purchased a T-mobile variant Galaxy S6 it was stuck on the Samsung logo but I only paid $100 so I figured worst case scenario sell it for parts. I managed to get it to boot everything works except cellular service. If I remove the Sim it says "Sim Card Removed" Restart. After restart it goes immediately to No Sim Card . I insert the Sim and it says "Sim card Detected" Restart. After Restart No Sim Card???? Checked IMEI its clean, flashed stock via Odin, pulled what little hair I had left out. Any words of wisdom? Thank you in advance for your time. forgot to add no mobile networks option at all in settings?
Does the SIM card work in another phone?
yes sim card works in other phones
Could be why you paid $100 for it. If your SIM works in another phone then there is a issue with the S6 being able to read your SIM. Have a friend with T-MOBILE? Try their SIM card. You might have a picky SIM.
of coarse it's why I paid a $100 for it, no matter what I can get my money back out of it but I was hoping to be able to fix it. Tried several sim cards same thing it recognizes the card restarts no sim card. I was thinking it might be the sim card reader itself but the fact that there's no Mobile networks in settings makes me think it's software related? Oh well I guess parts on ebay here I come. Anyone need a new display LoL
Same issue
Hi there. I have exactly the same issue with an O2 unlocked S6. I used my Ee sim on it till two weeks ago when suddenly i lost all network capacity (same as you). Previously i flashed an unbranded stock firmware in order to get rid of the o2 logo (may seem stupid but that was what i did). After 2 weeks of normal use with the new rom suddenaly i couldn't give/receive calls /texts. Since, i tried wiping, flashing, advanced wiping etc but same issue. Any advice is more than appreciated.
Hi, I bought a used unlocked T-Mobile Note 5 a few months ago and for the first month or so it worked great. Then I started getting this Sim Card Removed error occasionally. After a restart it would be fine for a while and then pop up again. Now it's basically constant, several times per hour I get this error and have to restart the phone, sometimes even immediately after a restart it pops up again, other times it'll go a few hours without popping up. I tried a fix I found online of taping the Sim Card into the Sim tray so it can't move, and it didn't help at all. The Sim card works just fine in my Nexus 6p, so it's not a sim card issue I don't think. Any help would be appreciated!!
Anyone got any ideas on this issue? I got a new SIM card and it's still happening.
Hey there
I have recently bought a huawei p10. It was a carrier unlocked phone. Since i got the phone i'm having trouble receiving text messages. About 80% of the messages sent to me didn't arrive. There is no rule or pattern in what kind of messages i am not receiving.
I tried updating, factory resetting the phone, checked the settings, tried with other SIM cards from other carriers, nothing helped.
I even took it to a service center, it was hardware tested and tested for the problem, but of corse nothing was found.
I was wondering if this problem cozld be solved by installing a stock huawei p10 rom, what is nor modifies by the carrier i bought the phone?
Or have somebody encountered the same priblem and found a solution?
Thanks all
Call your sim provider they should help you by following some steps
It already has been done. I've been told that they can see in there system, that the messages arriving to the sim card. I also changed sim card 3 times in the last 3 months.
