(q) root xt1058 att, any news?

Hi everyone. It's been some time with my moto i've trying to root it with no good news. Is there any new pie or something to root disabling write protection, and/or unlocking bootloader? Android v4.4.2, locked BL. Never got ota.

I just bought my P9. Its EvaL09C464 firmware. Should i change it any other firmware for Fast update?
