Can you reset a Google home mini to its factory default and completely erase your Google account from it? This is going to sound very "Scrooged", but I bought a Google home mini from Walmart for a gift swap. I would like to get the $25 coupon if possible for Google express, but I know I have to link it to my account. Can I do this and then reset it?
Hold factory reset button underneath Google home mini. Its located in the orange area and will give verbal warning it will reset as you keep holding button in. Takes about 10 seconds to trigger.

It seems that with the ATT Tilt, you are not able to do a hard reset using the left and right soft key plus the reset hole. Has anyone figure out how to do a hard reset on the device without using the program in "Settings"->"System"->"Clear Storage" ?
Thanks
-Enter Bootloader mode: Hold Camera + Power buttons together and reset with stylus(thanks pof)
-HardReset: Hold Both soft keys in while pushing in Reset button :When prompted push Green Talk Button to clear data.
This and more located in the upgrades section...
Thanks for the information. I have the information you mention. I have not tried the boot loader mode yet, but the hardreset functionality does not work on the ATT tilt. I've tried it quite a few times, it does not prompt for the erase data, it just did a soft reset and everything comeback normally.
Thanks.
It worked for me...
Make sure you aren't accidentally pressing any other key...
hmm... on the ATT Tilt ?
Yep...
The drone at the store did the customization, which let all of the bloatware install.. The first thing I did when leaving the store was to hold the two buttons in, then push the reset button for about a second or two (while holding down the button), release the reset button, then release the two softkeys.
I then got the white screen asking you to hit send...
Have you looked at the Kaiser Sticky about ALL Kaiser facts? the link is in my sig below but becareful you might learn something!!
When a hard reset is done, does the phone goes to a state when you first got it from ATT with all the programs, games, tools etc installed?
I was able to do it on an ATT Tilt. However, you have to be sure that you are not fat-fingering any other buttons. Also, hold down both softkeys until prompted to press another button.
It works well
I thought my partial ROM flash cooked my AT&T Tilt. The power + camera reset took my phone back into the hardspl screen for updating again. Thanks.
Many thanks for the info! The power/camera/reset did it for me.
Back to original specs.
Now I can upgrade.
The people at the ATT store were clueless.
Go figure!

You said you can't get it to hard reset?
Did you do it following these instructions: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Diamond_HardReset
NOTE: you will lose all your settings, contacts etc.
i have done every thing to hard reset but i cant
becuase my device gets stuck at windows mobile screen
1. Pull out the stylus.
2. With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons "aka the center button" , then press the RESET button with the stylus tip.
3. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until you see this message on the screen:
but it says when the device turned on my device gets stuck at that screen but i have tried like every thing
i press and hold volume down and enter and then i press reset button then i release reset button and once the phone starts it goes to diamond screen and those little numbers at the bottom of screen come up.
First, do you have insurance through your carrier? It doesn't matter where you bought it if you have this.
Second, there is another way to hard reset phone besides those instructions. Sprint Customer Care had to walk me through that, different that what is in manual.
Last resort - HTC should cover within one year, they know the age. Call, maybe "gift" (forgive me for suggesting lying, but I have done that when I can't find receipt). I have had phones covered, it has to be sent in to be replaced, a pain, but probably last resort.
I had a question regarding my HTC G1.
This is the 5th phone I have received as a replacement because the others have had a malfunction of some sort. The first few have completely failed unexpectedly and I was never given an explanation as of how it happened. I just received another the other day, i had to send my old one back to t-mobile because i was getting a message that said"android.process.acore" has stopped unexpectedly. then i have to force close. and this happens anytime i press the home key, or open or close the phone. or if the phone screen changes orientations. Ive talked to technical support many times and all the tell me is my contacts have an area left blank and it wont sync ive deleted all my contacts from my phone and my gmail account online and turned off the sync. ive completely reset the phone. havent downloaded any apps. and still the problem is reoccurring. I love this phone but its become a hassle to use. i pay 100 dollars a month plus shipping everytime it messes up for just another headache. Ive had better luck from an old nokia. PLEASE HELP as i wanna continue using this phone. But i cant find a solution. ive even tried to new sim cards and gmail accounts.
Can try go to recovery and do a wipe factory reset.. It will clear all data input.. To go into it power off phone amd home home button and press power keep home nuttoin held until you see a triangle with a "!" the flip your keyboard up and press alt and I and it wil give you options to wipe phone
HI,
I got this Galaxy S which was locked due to too much pattern trials... Now i want to hard reset but the problem is none of the hard reset method is working...
I tried Volume down + Power
Volume up + Home + Power
and every time it just loads on the screen and ask for gmail account and password which i don't know unfortunately....
This may be of use to you, since not every SGS shipped from factory with the 3-Button Recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=810686
From thinking back to when I did mine, the Odin method is probably your best bet as you should be able to do the 'adb reboot download' with it just switched on..

you don't know your GMAIL username and password? or just your password?
If the password is your problem, why not reset your password at the GMAIL website via your computer then use that to unlock your phone???

Hmm... this is a bit strange. How come you are in possession of a phone for which you don't have the lock pattern OR gmail a/c and password?
I hope you are not trying to unlock somebody else's phone!

It was a soft brick before this happend, so idk what to do now, I am stuck. Also its a international Note from the philippines and USA SAMSUNG WILL NOT HELP AT ALL. Which is BS. Here is the email that the samsung.com/pa sent me..
Dear Justin Baughn,
Thank you for contacting Samsung Philippines; we appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. You may do a hard reset on your unit if it was stucked on the Samsung Logo. While you phone is off, press Power Button + Volume Up + Home Button simultaneously and wait for 5 seconds until Android System Recovery menu appears. There are 4 options on the menu: Reboot System Now, Apply Update from SD card, Wipe Data/Factory Reset, and Wipe Cache Partition. Move the option to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" using the Volume Down (-) button and Home Button to confirm because the touchscreen does not work in recovery mode. After the process is done, the phone will reboot.
If nothing happens, please feel free to bring your unit to one of the authorized service center on your country and ask for a reprogram/reformat.
Please feel free to visit our support website often at http://www.samsung.com/ph/support for frequently asked questions, service location and repair self tracking.
If a question arises, do not hesitate to call us on 1-800-10-7267864 (1800-10-SAMSUNG) or you may write us again. We will be glad to be at your service.

this does not help because there is no samsung center anywhere around me that I am able to find, and also they will not fix it in the UNITED STATES. Its samsungs phone but they do not honor it unless it was made in the US.

I take it you tried these steps already...
-connect the device with the pc [usb]
-volume up + home + power.
If that does nothing... try finding someone [or order] a jig, which might get it into download mode.
if everything else fails smack your head against the wall and get your device fixed by samsung.
Yes I have already done everything except the Jig... samsung wont help, they suck. I cant find a motherboard for it online either..
made a jig.. tried it, does not work at all.. any other advice?
Mine did exactly the same today, connect charger, shows the empty battery sign for few seconds, then shuts off...
