Except that every individual would have to get Koush's app id whitelisted against their device via Google as well. At least if I have understood it correctly.

The way I understand is each person would have to get their device white listed with Google as a development device to use his app in it's current state and that Koush can't legally distribute the app to the publish unless it's approved by Google. I could be wrong. That's just my interpretation of the current guidelines.

This allows you to do it from your android device. Out of the box you can only use it with google play/netflix/ and youtube as of now with your phone. On your desktop you can share anything in your chrome web browser. More apps are coming.

Sense TV app for Google edition

I've searched. Has anyone got the sense TV app to work on a G.E rom. It's the only thing I feel that bothers me when on G.E rom. I always go to grab my phone to use as a remote and search what's in the.v but can't. Any help appreciated

Try Smart Remote from the Play Store.

Had the same problem, found ZappIR HTC One, its in the play store, works on my GE 4.2/4.3 ROM with no problem. I control a few Vizio's and my Samsung.

Smart Remote was removed from Play Store and isn't available since a few weeks.

I keep seeing threads like this where someone asks about. Sense TV app and is directed to some ir app. There are plenty of ir apps but the HTC TV app is THE best TV app out there combining ir blaster and TV Guide better than even the peel app that is based off of. Would really love to have it on ge. Anyone have any ideas?

I have the galaxy s4 sch-i545 and I have go keyboard working I just added the apk to the gear and it worked.

This is awsome. I am constantly impressed with how everyone is pushing the capabilities of this watch. Proud gear owner

I don't believe the Gear can do that. It has to go thru your phone via Bluetooth. Down the road, but non SMS or anything that needs WiFi or internet. I can use it for searching in Root Explorer and things on the Gear.

Im going to try pushing tablet talk to my gear after work tonight. I use it to send sms from my WiFi only tablet - it connects to the phone over bluetooth basically makes the call/message functionality of the gear work on a tablet with the exception of you cant use the tablet as a bluetooth handsfree like the gear.

I have tried this.. it works perfectly for me can view the whole conversation and reply to text using a keyboard... .only problem with this is doesn't show contact name..other than that it works great

Just follow simple guide to sideload google keyboard, then reset watch - works fine

Tablet talk is side loaded, but I am unable to scroll down to select my phone to pair with. Has anyone else had this problem?

I fixed it by downloading older version of tablet talk apk. For some reason the newer version crashes. I am using tablet talk version 1.7 which you can easily locate on Google. It works without any issues. Hope it helps.

Mp3 mess

How do get rid of all the ringtones that been picked up by Walkman app.?
It is a total mess, funny because it's not happening on my 2 previous Xperia devices, even any mp3 player downloaded from store knows how to differentiate this. Help please, it is a Hell of a mess when you try to play all of your collections randomly.

Search the folder with ringtones and take a .txt file in it which is called .nomedia
Maybe you have to restart your phone..

Thanks, really appreciate your attempt to help, but dude, I don't understand a word you are saying,sorry, don't mean to be rude, maybe you could elaborate a little?
A little wonder, assuming all you said is working, will soundpicker will still recognise the file, need all the tones still, just not in Walkman.
And since I'm here, I'm on 4.2.2 for that matter, and also, do you have any idea why does my lockscreen keep that stupid instructions of sliding up or down to unlock, like I don't know that already.

Step 1: Make a text file which is called .nomedia
Step 2: Search the folder with the ringtones(It's somewhere in the internal storage^^)
Step 3: If you have found the ringtone folder, copy the text file (which you have called .nomedia) in it.
Maybe you have to reboot your phone.

Ok, I gave(?) a look on it. I need a bit time.

In the recources file in the apk is the text written.
But why I can see this text only if I open the file with the phone?
If I open it with notepad on PC I see chineese or symbols..

There's a lockscreen apk here that has been edited to remove that text.
The available modded apks say they are for 4.2, but I'm not sure which firmware version they have been tested with.

[Q] Walkman take so long to update song list

i really love the this phone but its the little things like this that annoys me.
does anyone else have this problem? whenever i put new songs on my SD card, the walkman app can take forever to show that new song. even after i play the song directly from a file explorer, it still isnt in the walkman list of songs. it can take about 3-4 hours before the song than included in the walkman list of songs

Install the latest walkman it has recently added songs in playlists

yes this happens a lot to me too. I have root so I installed enable media scan. It's the media scanner not finding the songs. This app helps me out a lot of times. If you don't have root, try moving your music to another map on your SD, should work too, because media scanner will detect it now as it is being moved from one place to another

thats funny, in my app i found i have 2 walkman 1 is 2.0.A.0.28 the other is 6.0.A.0.26 and both are active

which xsp model do you have? i ask because mine is the c5306 and I've never had problems like you guys are describing with battery, wifi and the walkman app and such.

That's right. The 2.0.A.0.28 is the WALKMAN widget and the 6.0.A.0.26 is the music player.
The latest version is 8.1.A.0.3. You can't get it from play store but from xda. Here for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2587018

You don't have to do anything. It's way too simple. Go to settings , Open apps, go to ALL tab and scroll down to Walkman App. Select clear data and clear cache and it'll work.
