Hello! I bought an audio cable to switch the audio from the phone to my car's stereo system, but when I plug the cable to the phone, it makes no reaction. When I plug headphones it makes the switch but with the cable to the car's stereo it does not work. I tried the cable with other phone OnePlus 3 and it works. Is there any way to manually switch the phone's sound through the jack? Thank you!

I've got a zoom H4n which is great for recording audio. It puts out it's signal as a 3.5mm style cable.

Is it possible to plug this into the SGS using it's headphones output? I think you can get 4 pin ring cables or something similar which are used on the mic/headset combinations for their mic. Maybe some explanation there will help me.
Just thought i would share this link for anyone with a non-Bluetooth head-unit that wants audio control over their phone.

I'll be getting one of these to attach to the useless ipod plugin coming out of my car's stereo. It will be nice not having to plug my phone into the aux in, but instead gaining playback controls, all wireless.
awesome, thnx button
i see you have a rotary... rx7?
I bought this adapter:

and it wasn't working with my HTC U11 Life (there was error message to connect supported HTC headphones). But I found this application Audio Router. When I set Audio Jack from Default to On my standard 3.5mm headphones are working fine and in the same time I can charge my phone. Maybe this will be useful for others. I think that it would work with simple USB-C to 3.5mm adapters without charging or for other than HTC phones witch wont work by default wit those adapters.
Does someone knows the voltage that should comes from the main speaker output?

I just purchased a Kenwood Excelon DMX709S for my car, and I'm attempting to mirror my phone over the HDMI. I can hear sound, but the screen stays black. Does anyone have any idea why this happens? I'm not sure if it's the phone or the car stereo at this point.
FYI, if I plug in any computer to the HDMI port, I get video and sound with no issues. I just can't get it to work with the phone.
wouldnt you better off using android auto?
also had a look on their site, shows as needing a 3rd party adapter?
