Call recording - Moto G5S Plus Questions & Answers

Are you using call recording apps? Is yes tell me name. I'm trying to find working app but always something not working. For example app didn't record person that I talk.
Wysłane z mojego Moto G (5S) Plus przy użyciu Tapatalka

The same happened to me! It recorded using the mic (as if there were no call) and I could hear only my voice and the surrounding noise.
Thought it was something with the app. Gave it 1 star.
Had been using another app and had several recordings. Even this app doesn't record the other person's voice!

Sometimes I have another issue: when I beginning talk through phone and callX for example start recording it looks ok, but after 15 seconds app stops recording me or other person.

Has anyone else also faced the same issue? Any update? It isn't working on my phone even after the update.

I tried 2-3apps other than this. They didn't work. Try using earphones while on call and by removing them (using phone's mic). It works on one of these.

Can you please tell which Mode are you using? It's got several options and mentions that only one will work.

BoldBeast is working but only in root mode. Any other mode is failing after 10-20 seconds of recording.

for rooted phones, you can use Call Recorder from skvalex as well. I'm using it on Moto g5s plus since the beginning, and I've been using it on Moto G4 plus before as well, it is working like a charm

Well my friend there is another app for that which is working absolutely fine and great for me but it is paid, you can also get the mod/cracked version of that app "truecaller" in premium it gives additional benefits including call recording which is working fine with all modes of call.
hope so this will be helpful

I don't have problem with paid apps in general but I don't like truecaller which mandates granting access and saving on their servers.
I'm waiting for Oreo which is supposedly be rolling out soon and root it after that. Thanks btw

app for recording calls

Hi,
Is there an app that is able to record calls on the o4x?
Isn't that already possible? With voice recorder?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
Why don't people atleast TRY to find something before actually posting for help.
Obviously you would try to maybe type in "call recorder" or something in the play store?
Made possible by my sexy LG Optimus 4X HD (P880)

Working call recording via CallRecorder (NO ROOT REQUIRED)

So today I have downloaded an app called CallRecorder by SKVALEX from Play Store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS5za3ZhbGV4LmNhbGxyZWNvcmRlciJd
I have tried the MOD posted in the forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2200008&highlight=call+recording
but I could not get it to work so I thought I would share an alternative method that worked for me.
So after downloading the app I went into preferences and tried the different settings until I found one that worked on my phone.
To get the call recording to work, go to app preferences and:
1) Under device select "Other"
2) Set Record Calls from "Standard Android Api"
3) Set Call recording format to: "WAV"
4) Go to Standard Android API preferences and in Audio source choose: "default"
and voila now you should be able to record calls on your device.
My phone is rooted but this method should work on both rooted and unrooted devices.
Does it record both sides when you use Bluetooth?

It should record everything. There are a lot of options in the app settings menu so you might have to try a different setup if the one in my post does not work for you. You can always purchase the app, try if it works in the 15 min refund period and if it doesn't just refund it back.
I personally have not tested it with bluetooth
This app needs root! Or not?

I have bought this app and I use it with my galaxy s2, but when I use Bluetooth, it records only the other side. If this app could record both sides with Bluetooth on xperia z, then it could be a good reason to buy it.

Works on Xperia z (non root) during call.
I can hear myself and the person on the other line
With latest version 1.3.5 full of the app
No need to change any settings.

thanks, but seems not working for me, either cant record anything or just my voice
Sony has implanted a "built in" call recorder, It was desactivated but it will be available with my new rom
the OP's settings works for me but the caller's voice is much softer than mine.
Am rooted and running CM10.1 for those who are interested.
The app did ask for root permission when I used it.
Hope this helps...

i thought auto call recorder was a paid for app?
Skvalex CallRecorder works perfectly on my stock phone 10.1.A.1.434. Can hear both caller and myself clearly. Somebody care to check if it works on newest firmware 10.1.1.A.1.253. (After upgrading my Razr I to JB it stoped working and no downgrade path, forcing me to by a new phone. Thus on XZ now, happy with that, but I don't want it to happen again.)
Edit: CallRecorder works perfectly on .253 Swedish ROM. I have root and the app says "granted root access" but I don't think that root access is necessary.
Works on stock, no root .253

T-Mobile Used Google Hangouts video yesterday and last 2 weeks, now doesn't work

I love the hangouts app on this phone, and I have an unlimited plan from T-Mobile. I just switched over from Verizon.
Anyhow, yesterday I was able to video chat in the hangouts app on mobile, but today it doesn't work. Switch to Wi-Fi, bam it magically works.
Are there any other Gflex users on T-Mobile that could test this please.
Thats strange ? Hmm

Nope, not rooted. I'm on full LTE also.

Root the beast then install xposed and wanam xposed. It's for touchwiz anyway there is an option under security-> enable hangouts over 3g
Give it a try it's google related and should work. I use also tinted status bar, circle battery, and burnt toast looks awesome! PM if you need the link!

Thanks for posting that info. I have root on my phone and the app says that Hangouts video chat is enabled, but it still doesn't work.
This is actually occurring on both mine and my wife's phone. She has the Note 3. We were both able to use the video calling feature as of the 25th while on LTE, but as of yesterday neither of us can. While on WI-FI it works fine.

I just tried this method also, but it didn't work either. It's the same as the other times, all I get is just the other parties Google+ profile picture. It says I am in a video hangout, but there is no sound/video.

It's definitely not phone specific. No love on my HTC One in HSPA+ or LTE. Nobody on Skype to see if it is Hangouts-specific.

You're having this issue also?
I just talked to T-Mobile tech support and opened a ticket with 3rd level engineering and should be getting a response within 3 days. Hopefully this gets fixed.

I tested with Skype over LTE. Works Fine.
Hangouts on my Nexus 5 also fails on LTE but not WiFi. Groove IP calling also does not work on LTE but no problem on WiFi (Google Voice).
I think it's isolated to T-Mobile and Google. Hopefully will be corrected soon
Same problem here with hangouts on my Note 3 and my wifes iphone 5s on tmo

Phone Recording!!!

I have been trying to get phone recording app to work on my hand set but apparently Motorola had disabled the possibility on their OS! I'm furious!
Would there be a Cyanogen or something that I could install that could fix this issue? Mine is a vitara
Thanks in advance....
