3 month old note 8 status bar screen burn In help - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

So on the 23rd of august i got my note 8 and I was worried about burn in since the day I got the phone and made sure to not have aod turned on .i keep the bottom navi bar hidden at all times.and I keep the screen brightness at 40 percent or less non auto.but today noticed the line going across the top of my screen where the status bar is.im so disappointed because I took all the correct steps to avoid burn in.ive got burn in on every phone I've ever owned.but not after 3 months like this.
I heard Samsung with replace my screen under warranty reading around here, but I have some questions,my gold note 8 has zero light leak around the edge.i got super lucky and nearly all the note 8 phones I've handled had light leak.what I'm asking is what will happen if they replace my burnt in screen for a screen that shows light leak due to the black tape not covering enough of the glass.will they keep on replacing the screen until it's correct I hope so. This phone cost me a lot.
Also will my phone still be waterproof .it had better be paid a lot of cash
And lastly how long will they take to fix my phone ,and will I lose all my data as I can't back my phone up to the cloud due to cloud errors amd my laptop is broken

Question, do you leave your brightness high all the time? How do you always seem to get burn in? I'm just curious

Thanks for some reason I skimmed it. But still doesn't explain the other devices lol

The best way to avoid burn in, is to not worry about it.
I had terrible burn in on my S7E and I was careful, kept brightness low, changed apps to refresh the screen. But it didn't help.
Now I have my Note8. I leave the screen on for hours, and no burn in so far. Not even tiniest burn in. Just use it like a normal person who doesn't know about burn in and it will be okay.
If You want to get rid of the burn in, download burn in removing app from Play Store, set brightness to 100%, leave the phone charging while it's displaying random colours for at least 48 hours and the burn in should be reduced a lot or even completely gone. But You will get it again sooner or later, once a part of the display has burn it, it will get burn in again.
So when You get a replacement just don't worry about the burn in and it won't happen again(hopefully).
Not sure if it will stay waterproof. Samsung uses extremely strong adhesive. But they also might just replace the whole mid frame + display glued to it. Just ask them once You get Your device back.
They might reset Your phone and flash latest stock firmware on it. At least that's what happened to me.
And I'm not sure if they will replace Your screen if it will have light leaks. Probably yes if it's really bad but if it's barely visible then probably no.

I can't accept any light leak not even a tiny bit.i use a crystal case. And no case at home my phone was perfect with zero flaws no pink tint really even screen .zero light leak in pitch black room.so I'm worried about them changing the screen .to a ****ty pink uneven screen .And ending up with disgusting light leak .I'm assuming my phone will still be water resistant after these butcher's open my beloved note 8?will they change the screen or replace my phone?I'm in UK btw
I hope I don't lose all my phone data as I can't back it up

Guessing the handset has gone to Anovo in Norwich.
Be very careful with them and make sure the phone is absolutely perfect. Hope you took photos of the handset showing IMEI prior to sending. Lets just say they have a "questionable" reputation to say the least. Good luck Amigo!

You will loose all data. Period. Backup data on friends laptop or sd card.
You risk getting a ****ter screen with leaks. But it's still from Samsung, backed by original warranty. You may be lucky and get a brand new phone tooo.
Don't send it if you are so paranoid.
Again, you will loose all data if you do not back up. You have been warned.

Yeah. Way too paranoid. It would probably be better for OP(and for phone manufacturers) to just forget about smartphones and move on.
Every phone has some flaws. But most of the time You can just live with them and in case of light leaks, they are almost unnoticeable(You have to stare at Your phone's edges for 5 minutes and use a microscope ). Maybe 1 in 100k phones is perfect. Mine has micro light leaks and I don't even notice them. Even though I use it mostly during night.

The status bar burn in from understanding is even burn in due to white status bar over a black background. Hence why some say use a lighter background towards the top of the screen.

Reading all these burn in posts, I no longer know what to think about it, I have had my note 8 for 3 months now, so far, nothing wrong, in fact, never have had this issue with any samsung device, only with a symbian nokia N8, in this case it was really really freaking BAD

So I've recently had this 'screen burn in' issue with my Note8 after only using for 3 months too. But for me it doesn't seem to be with the AOD, NavBar or StausBar like the others tho. For me it was my homescreen and camera app including the Weather/Clock and Google Search Bar widget, sereral app icons on my homescreen and camera shutter button. Also had an issue when using the camera to shoot in 4K, phone would get really hot (where motherboard is) and random turn off at 40%.
I can confirm that this is indeed covered under Samsung Warrenty. Luckly my Note8 still was, as only had it for 3 months.
Took it to my local 'Samsung Service Centre' and had them check my warrenty receipts etc and they happily replaced the following with brand new parts:
- Full Display Assembly (Inc. Mid-frame Housing)
- Battery
- Motherboard (New IMEI Number)
After the repair, they also carry out a series of tests (same as on assembly line), to ensure all the neccesary tests pass. (Also get a detailed test report)
Getting a certified repair directly from Samsung, under warrenty is so much more reliable then your local 3rd part repair shop.
I also asked regarding 'light leak' and 'water resistance' and been told that both was tested and IP68 certified.

DEAR ALL
Totally understand that this is a natural ageing process with Super AMOLED Display Panels, and it will happen sooner or later during its lifespan.
And aware that Samsung has the pixels move slightly so that AOD/Home Button is not always in same spot, (Regardless, but still in the same region)
Was just wondering as a community, what are the neccessary steps we can take to prevent this from happening? /again?
If not, at the very least slow down the ageing process?
I had a few ideas in mind:
- Disable AOD
- Keep brightness/resolution low (Therefore not as enjoyable :crying
- Use a dark theme/wallpaper (Keep pixels off)
- Use live wallpaper (May actually keep the pixels moving)
- Use 'SystemUI Tuner' to enable 'Immersive Mode' (To hide NavBar and StatusBar)
- Maybe use 'XDA Navigation Gestures' as an alternative (Kind of buggy from my testing)
Not sure, just a few ideas. Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions

I use nova launcher, it has the option to toggle the status bar via gestures, also to have light or dark icons in it, on transparent or black background

best way to avoid this is to root and have status and navigation bar set to dynamic with xlosed flat styled colored bars. anything elese would be folly.

The best way to not let this stuff bother you... Get a phone through your carrier and upgrade every year. Pro 1 you get a new phone every year the best and greatest. Pro 2 you always have insurance. Pro 3 you don't have to worry about screen burn in or light leak because you will get a new phone in a year and you didn't drop 1,000 dollars on it that is actually Pro 4 too. Pro 5 you never pay full price for the best phone on the market each year. Pro 6 you are not stuck with a 3 year old phone while everyone else is rocking a brand new phone. If you are really into phones like me you are tired of a phone in 6 to 8 months.

Using substratum, status bar icons are all dim. My Nav bar is also set for black with dim icons.

My Nexus One has Screen Burn In of Notification Bar

i just noticed that my 1 month old nexus one has the notification bar burnt in. go to landscape view in the browser, load a white background like google.com, and sure enough i can see very faintly the notification bar.
i've always kept the display on auto brightness. i'm very curious to hear if anyone else checks their screen if they have the same issue. the phone is only 1 month old, maybe 2 at the tops, so its very strange for this to happen. anyone else?
Had mine since end of March. No burn-in or any type of ghosting. I have my screen time-out set to 30 seconds. I wonder if that's got anything to do with it.
that's weird. my time out has always been at the default of 2 minutes. surely that isn't too much different though. 1.5 minutes shouldn't make or break it.

how bad is it? Is it possible to show us a picture?
its not too bad, but definitely there. the concern is how new this phone is. what happens after 6 months?
I'll try to take a pic later, but don't have a good camera on me.

Definately, you should give htc a call and tell them whats up. No rush on a picture.
AMOLED displays are worse for burn in than old CRT's, so br interesting to see how these fair
Got mine in late Jan and no sign of it.

Can't say either way if 1.5 minutes more of screen-on time can create the burn-in. But compared to the standard 30-sec time-out on most phones (some have 15 sec), 2 minutes is pretty long. You may want to set it to a shorter time-out duration.
you REALLY have to look close to see it. I tried it on black screen and you can't see it all. except in landscape the notification bar switches so at the very left inside the bar you can see the small faded line of the portrait bar.
i don't care enough to call HTC for any type of exchange or repair. I've heard the horror stories of their service too!
I have slight burn in on mine too. It's expected and I doubt the screen time out has anything to do with it. Keep in mind that any use of the phone the notification bar usually stays in the same place. Sometimes I have maps nav going on and that alone keeps the display on for the length of a car trip.
Also you guys can test by getting Dead Pixel Detect from the market and cycling through a few different colors.
well I'm not gonna get all worked up about it. sucks it happened so soon, hopefully it doesn't get worse. I'll try that dead pixel app just to see.
I'll take a pic shortly, but I don't know if it will actually be visible from a photo.
thats bad if its true....still a new phone with this problem already? wow..mine is less than a week old ...I will keep an eye out for it though, and if anyone has a solution that would be nice...
Drawing white on AMOLED requires much more than drawing black.
One more reason for using Desire (or a black notification bar theme)
I have two Nexus One's. The first was the Tmobile version which I used on ATT EDGE. That device has the purple tint issue and also has some burn in(uneven wear)where the notification bar is. Unfortunately I ran it with the brightness at 100%, 24-7. Now, it is very slight, but it is there.
I also have the 3G ATT version and it has no purple tint and has no burn in(uneven wear) yet and I've used it more now that I did the EDGE version. BUT, I never run this one with 100% brightness unless I have to.
Also, it is better to run at very low brightness for the first say hundred hours because there is a sharper dropoff in brightness half life during that time, making burn in(uneven wear)detectable with the human eye more likely to occur.
At the end of the day, for my situation, I blame myself for running at 100% brightness. I should have known better. LCD, with as long as they have been around, have innovated to the point of having very long half lives making burn in possible, but very rare. I was operating the way I always had with mobile devices. BUT, with these new screens, new care must be taken until AMOLED matures with higher brightness half life.
100% brightness I understand, but auto setting and this still happened in a month?
that pixel detector app definitely shows the burn in. I can see the icons too for 3g, signal meter, M from the pm time stamp, etc.
I guess there's no way to fix other than replace the screen? cause I'll change my notification bar to black if I had known this could happen.
I wonder what I should do...repair, HTC warranty, live with it, etc
I have the same problem. t-mobile nexus one. Happened about 2 months after I first got it. HTC replaced it. And it happened again on the new one. I keep it on 100% brightness pretty much all the time except at night. Doesn't bother me much though. I hardly use my phone in landscape and it's only on white backgrounds.

If you get a new one just remember that even with a black notification bar, you're at risk. You will also need to run dark or black backgrounds to stay even with the black bar. Otherwise you will end up with a very bright bar and the rest of the screen will look yellowish/grey compared to it. It's always about making sure all the pixels are as evenly worn as possible. Another thing you can do is switch to a black notification bar now and run bright backgrounds and you can reverse some damage. It will never be perfect but you can get the wear more even again thus making the issue even less noticeable than it already is.
I agree about auto setting should have prevented this. At least you would think, but I'm no expert.
Several more things that can be done to help prevent this issue: if browsers or apps you use have the option to turn off the notification bar, use it. The more you can keep that notification bar off the screen, the more evenly you can wear the screen. Also, set your screen timeout to a shorter level. I used to use two minutes but now I use 30 seconds. The time that the screen is on and the bar is on the screen add up and can eventually contribute to uneven wear, and it's just wasted time waiting for the screen to timeout.
i'm seeing some faint burn in too
I don't feel so bad since I'm not the only one.
even with a black notification bar you would prob need white letters which would still burn in the white letters.
why the hell did I read this thread... lol mine is slight but I have some and I didn't notice it before because the only time I'm in landscape is in navigation most of the time.

How to prevent amoled burn in?

Every amoled screen I had was burned after some time. Mostly on the status bar. Once it was WhatsApp.
This time I want to prevent or delay it as long as possible. What recommendations do you have?
Never understood how people managed with burn ins. Well, stop watching a static picture with 100% brightness for 5hrs in a row is a good start.
i have owned more than a dozen samsung products with amoled screens, never had burn in on one of them. I always keep the screen very bright because my eyesight isnt that great. the one lg amoled phone i owned had terrible screen burn
The factors involved are: heat (ext), brightness (curr), uneven degradation rate of each color (rgb), persistent elements, and age (of panel). If half a screen is black and the other is blue, at max brightness, the blue subpixels are under the most stress. Their decay rate will overshadow the resting blue lights - plus that of green and red.
5yrs from now you're going to look at an all white image. Half of it will look awful.
Thanks guys, but not really helping, are you?
Fall asleep once with your phone under your face and you'll have a burn in your amoled screen. Probably many other ways.
This is a common issue that most people don't even notice.
I get how it happens. I'm looking for ways to prevent it.
Setting a screen timeout is helpful
Had every Samsung for years and never had this, so I've no idea.
Maybe some people don't have a screen timeout and fall asleep sometimes dunno

Do i remember wrong, but didint Samsung add pixel shifting at least for their launcher elements which stay at same of screen all the time?

I don't remember that. I know they had it on their Plasma TVs. I thought the Pixel phones with OLED screens also had it but don't know about Samsung phones. I do think that 99.9% of people that use a phone normally will never experience burn-in for the time they own the phone.
Use full immersive mode to hide the status bar and the top and bottom. Turn off auto brightness because if you leave it on and go in sun the brightness get high.
Screen time out to 15 seconds
Leave the brightness slider 50 percent or less
If you use aod make sure to flip the phone so it turns off when not using it
Use youtube in full screen if you use it a lot
These are my tips as I've had my screen changed 4 times due to burn in on my note 8.now using these methods my screen so far has no burn in
For me it's always was the top status bar that would burn in
But now I should never experience burn in ever again now I've actively tried to avoid it
Everyone I know that swears blind they don't have burn and have never had that issue on any device I immediately grab there phone and look closely on a complety grey background and 100 percent of them have status bar burn in at the top at the very least
No way am I turning stuff off to avoid something I've never seen
900 quid to have to suffer immersive mode utter lols, if I have to did that I'll sell it

I also honestly don't know what you're talking about. I've had s3, s5, s7, s9 and now to s10. Never had anything of the sort and since s7 I've been using AOD. Nothing happend. For the love of me I can't imagine how you may have had anything wrong with the display....

Lol, sorry to see everyone busting you up on this....because you know, it's always more helpful to give someone a bad time to ensure a post count increment, than to be useful and offer up some insight.
Well, I have had screen burn in occur on 3 different galaxy phones. Not from falling asleep, not from being clueless...but from using my phone with games. 2 were mine and 1 on My wife's..hers occurred from youtube.
I used to play clash of clans tons, got burn in from the smaller stats numbers at the top- over time...But replaced the phone no sweat. Verizon insurance took the phone as a defect, noted as screen image ghosting, no charge. I just didn't realize that it was an issue playing, but it was over time. I think it was an s6. The reps in the store were as surprised as I was that it had occurred.
Different device & model, S7 , but same thing occurred, not in the same game either...This time with clash royale- the towers and little cloud icon burned in from too much playing and too often, apparently. I thought I had been a bit more careful, but i think it was the frequency in which I was playing versus overall time.
This time I simply contacted support in the chat about the ghosting, they replaced it again as a defect, no charge.
My wife's occurred on the s7, hers was the top bar because of YouTube, too much & too often. So, did the same for my wife's phone through Verizon insurance, they replaced as a screen ghosting defect.
After I noted what was going on, she made adjustments, didn't happen again to either of us.
Both of us are on the 10s now and very aware this can occur. So, you just need to make sure you're not on those static images or bars or icons for either long periods or frequent shorter periods...it takes time, but it happens, despite popular misconception.
It is only really noticable on a white background, like when looking at mostly blank new tab in chrome.
On the last device, the S7, I made sure to cut the amount of time spent on static images, especially the games. I still kept the brightness always max during the day, nights it was at the lowest setting.
And yes, I kept my settings the same after the replacement, just made adjustments to my gaming approach. I didn't want to baby the phone screen settings, shouldn't have to. No issues on that one after adjusting my approach.
So, it's certainly possible to avoid and I bet there's many out there that use certain apps for long periods and frequently just do not really notice it may have occurred, even if slightly.. and I'm taking heavy users.
A note app with a clean page or white blank background reveals it, most of the time you're not using that, so ignorance is bliss...and makes It's easier for folks to bust on someone else for asking about screen burn in because they themselves are simply clueless it even remotely occured with them.
Heavy user naysayers, check your old phones, just for the heck of it... and then keep the findings to yourself because no one actually cares about you being right or wrong.
Anyway, it was an inconvenient lesson at the time, for me but good to know and learn from. Didn't cost me much but time, as it just took up time set up the phones again.
I know Samsung isn't too concerned about it or they wouldn't have preinstalled games on the phone (ie. solataire).
Just do your best to adjust your screen settings, like those that mentioned, if you're into that. Or simply adjust your apps/usage habits.
Don't overlook the Digital Wellbeing settings on the S10...that may also help you target certain apps with a timer also. Might be something useful for you.
Hope that helps some.

Thank you for your insight. I wouldn't be able to return it if it happens.
I'm also worry the AOD can cause burn in. I never used it before because I had a notification led...
I know it moves around, but is that enough? I also turn it off 8hs a day.

You can set the schedule for the time for the AOD is active and either use the AOD auto brightness option or set the brightness lower, if that helps you feel more confident with it. The movement should help avoid issues.
FWIW, I used AOD with my previous phone without any issue and I anticipate the same with this one.
My burn in issue was only with the games & YouTube as noted.

This is my main issue with AMOLED screens. They look nice but they wear out. The nature of Android means they will wear out unevenly which is why people see burn in. The wearing out of your screen is cumulative. Meaning that it isn't like an old CRT TV where it would take weeks of a static image to burn in but just showing the same image over time day in and day out. The only way to prevent it is to use the entire screen with moving images, like full screen movies, so that the panel wears evenly.
The status bar and navigation bar tend to be on the screen all the time those images will burn in first. Dark mode can also cause issues because if the area is dark it isn't being used and if it isn't being used it will look brighter than other areas that were used more frequently. The s10 has a full screen mode option for some apps. Some apps like Netflix will show the full screen movie even around the camera cutout and that is ideal. Youtube will also allow you to zoom in and show the video around the camera. cutout Chrome and the Samsung browser keep the status bar but it will change colors based on the site and if the bar is white it will invert the status icons which will help keep the panel wearing evenly. I have the dolphin browser which runs in full screen but the top portion of the panel is not used so that is less than ideal.
Auto brightness can be used but in the bright sun that panel is wearing much faster. The screen time out should be set to 15 seconds. These panels are designed to look great but not be super durable and in many cases that's what Samsung wants. They benefit when you have to buy a new device. It's sad to say but its business.

Burn in concerns?

Until now, I've actively avoided AMOLED screens, in part due to the ability to get screen burn in. I'm still not thrilled about it, but it seems no flagship has LCD anymore and I'll have to make the trade-off.
I get some of the benefits of AMOLED, but this surprised me a bit to find on a gaming phone since games have static images (scores, gauges, maps, icons, etc). I also know that running an AMOLED at full brightness increases the burn in risk, but I'll be using this daily in bright sunlight and will need the screen fairly bright.
So what's the current expectation for the ROG 2 screen when it comes to that? Any word on if burn in will be much of a risk anymore? Would the Asus U.S. Warranty cover that, and for how long?
Burn in is probably a far smaller issue than you'd think. I've used AMOLED displays since 2010 on several different devices and never had an issue. It does happen but probably far less common than you'd think.
The only AMOLED device I've had that experienced burn in was a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which I used for many years and was my daily phone up until I received this ROG Phone 2 a week ago. Even then, I didn't notice the burn in on it until about a year ago, and only found it by deliberately looking for it by using an app to show full screen solid colors. Even to this day I don't notice the burn in on that Note 5 during normal use. The entire time I used the Note 5 I had the brightness set to max with adaptive brightness on.

Especially with gestures replacing the static nav bar. Those would burn in over time. But the status bar stays pretty active, so there shouldn't be much chance their either

My wife prefers the Notes and every one of hers got burn in. Her last one was the S7 (due to the N7 fiasco), and I noticed burn in within a year. She rarely has the brightness cranked, which is part of why I'm still on the fence.
Now that I have android auto radios in all my cars I don't expect to get much burn in from now on, but my note 8 always has Waze ghosted on the screen.

As others have mentioned before the benefits of Amoled screens far out take the LCD ones in many areas. For example one thing I hated about LCD screens because of the technology was the uneven side/bottom light spots which can be easily seen in a dark room and were very annoying to see.
Regarding Burn in, there is an easy way to avoid it in the long run by using gestures for system navigation and in regards of the status bar you can use any 3rd party app which can hide the status bar. Personally I use "Immersive manager" app to hide the status bar on ASUS launcher and in some apps which I don't like to see it in, and so because of the switch between the home screen and apps, the status bar isn't static and for that reason i doubt burn in will be an issue.
I would caution about the "Always-On Display" option of the Asus Rog Phone 2. If you go to bed and leave the phone face-up (proximity sensor not covered) then it will leave the static clock graphics up all night. I could imagine that being burned in over time.

I was watching a review video on it yesterday and it showed what looked like the AOD clock shifting (it was a short cutaway shot, so could be mistaken). I will keep an eye on it, though, to see if it does move.
Just like you, I avoid AMOLED screens. I had an S3, burn ins from web browser... I watch YouTube a lot. I am not sure the AMOLED screen is for me. It became difficult to choose a phone.

Just enable Dark Mode within YouTube and assuming you watch in full screen mode, you should not have any problems. I personally run YT for about 3-4 hours everyday: the phone sits below my monitor at work and I have earphones on. Glance at the screen from time to time, since what I usually do doesn't require full concentration at most times. Never faced burn in from YouTube.
I did face some issues on Quora though, but that was with a Moto G4+ and seemed to be temporary. The logo bar on top stayed for a while, ghosting as I used other apps but went away in a few minutes after I left the page.
Amoled screens burn-in is much less likely to happen now due to advancement in screen technology and also software implementation to counter it.
There used to be a time when averagely 30-40% of screens had a form of burn-in or another.
Unless you're unfortunate to get a defective screen, I doubt if burn-in will be an issue for you.
I have a 2-year old Huawei Mate 10 Pro which I've used so much and mostly outside (full screen brightness), but there isn't a sign of burn-in on it.
Though it would be important to know the screen manufacturer for the ROG II as not only you can have an idea of the quality but also aesthetics.
I already have some lines and screen uneveness in lower brightness and mostly gray color, i wouldnt call them burn-ins but the device screen is diffinitely defective as it's only 4 weeks old and the screen was uneven from the beginning
Btw the quality and sharpness of colors is nowhere close to my father's galaxy a40 so either my device is a complete defect or the screen is just not that high-end stuff
And lets not forget the rediculous issue of getting red tine when lowering the brightness it sometimes drives me crazy, still the 120hz refresh rate is so great i cant think about any other phone!

Huawei P30 Pro Burn In Issue Question

Hi all,
I want to find out if heavy usage of youtube on this phone will cause Screen Burn In?
Heavy usage = Always on youtube. At least 8 to 10 hours of youtube per day.
Unless all the videos have the same static image (or its the same video on loop) screen burn is unlikely. The only issue would likely be the video not filling the screen leaving black bars down the side which could burn in. I'd recommend zooming in the video to fill the screen to avoid that.
That would mean there will still be burn in. ???????

isnt it an amoled display, meaning the black bars would just be the leds turned off meaning no burn in?
I use you tube a fair bit, maybe not to the extent the OP uses but a good few hours, and not even a hint of burn in
They would burn in eventually as the black bars are getting less use than the video area so they'd be brighter than the rest of the display
My experience with burn in is that I had to go change the front panel 4 times in One Year (Samsung). I am now afraid to buy a new phone because I don't want to have to go to the service centre 4-5 times in one year. Just wanted to find out if Huawei also would get such issue. And don't know if Huawei cover such issue in their warranty.

It's going to happen on any Amoled screen if you leave the same image on for long periods of time, nothing to do with the manufacturer of the device, the displays are rarely made by the same OEM as the device anyway
Turn brightness down and don't leave the same image on the screen, turn it off when not using it
I would recomend you to use "Youtube Vanced" as it has built in "background playback" and completly black theme and you can also turn the screen off during video playback.

Me too, the display seems very high quality in terms of build quality....
It really depends on your personal usage. High brightness means screen burn ins will appear sooner rather then later. On my old Galaxy S4, after 3 years of usage, no burn ins. On my old Galaxy A5 2016, after 2 years, no burn ins. My girlfriend's Galaxy S9+, after 1 and a half year, full keyboard burn in. She uses her phone with brightness at maximum a lot of times while I, on the other hand, can't stand high brightness, only in direct sunlight.
It all depends on your usage.

Question Burn in Display in 6 days

Hello how are you ?
I tell you that I have the OnePlus Ace (converted to 10R) for about 6 days and since yesterday Wednesday after updating I began to notice that the clock in always on display was marked on the display of the phone, the same happens to me with other applications like Facebook or Instagram and not to mention the notification bar.
The strange thing is that after having a good time it goes away.
What dou you recommend? Purchase was by Aliexpress

It is never a good idea to use Always On with oled displays. These type of screens are prone to that, of course not in 6 days, but, letting it all day on, specially with a display that suffers with burn in, sooner or later this will happen.
In your case, you could try the refund or return policy from aliexpress, either way I'm pretty sure you will lose money.
If the text doesn't move vertically every dozen or so seconds in AOn mode, keep it disabled (check after each OTA/custom ROM). In case you got a burn-in while the phone does proper moving of the AOn text, that's definitely a display hardware defect.
