Samsung Pay Rewards N950F/DS - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

I cannot see the reward points collected after using samsung pay. Can someone help me understand why?

is that not linked to American models and credit cards only?

Does Galaxy S III I9305 offer 32GB Internal Memory?

Hi There!
I'm helping out a friend to buy the phone that he wants.
I would just like to know if Galaxy S III I9305 offer 32GB Internal Memory?
I've been indeed tried searching through different online sites already.
But I haven't found any 32GB being sold or shipped.
I would really appreciate your help guys.

Thanks for the replies.
So does this mean that the info from Wikipedia is misleading?
I'm really confused because there is a source that was cited which I am not quite sure if it's truly legitimate.
If this really does give false info, then it should be subjected for correction. Am I right?
from my experience this is good source:
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4238&idPhone2=5001
In Europe the i9305 comes with 16GB or 32GB. Here in Switzerland are both available (in stock) in black.
16GB is more than sufficient with a 64GB SDHC to accompany it.
I never heard of 32 GB version
It seams to be diffrent depending on where you buy it.
Here in Sweden we only have the 16GB model so far.

Is this true? i9305 has 32GB in Europe?
Does anyone else agree with this?
There are different replies which are very confusing.
I really need clarification on which one is correct.
Anybody else could care to help?

Yes this is correct, I also have a 32GB version.
Here in Switzerland the I9305 is only available on the carrier Swisscom (the only one with LTE) in 16 and 32GB and only black
http://www.swisscom.ch/en/residential/mobile/devices/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-32gb-4g.html
there are also different retailers that have it in stock
you can get it for around USD 680 from different retailers (contract free and also sim- and netlock free)

Thanks for the info.
I appreciate the link you posted. It's really rare to see a 32GB version of I9305. Maybe it's only offered with your carrier?
Because I have also tried exploring official Samsung websites for different countries as well.
Haven't found any with 32GB. Only 16GBs.
Now, I really am looking for a seller/site which offers this item for shipping.
I would be grateful if someone shares a link.

Maybe that's true with the carrier..
I can provide you with some links from retailers in Switzerland but I don't think they ship abroad or to the european union...
But why not 16GB + SD card?

I've been thinking of that.
Maybe I'll be informing him that getting a 32GB might really be an inconvenience.
32GB has a great capacity but really difficult to get so I would most likely recommend him to get the 16GB instead.
Besides, it's really no issue because it is expandable up to 64GB.
Anyways, I really appreciate all your help guys.
Thanks for the replies.

Has anyone managed to get a 32gb variant of the i9305 shipped outside of Switzerland? Or purchased an unlocked one from an online retailer? Any links would be much appreciated.

if you dont what we are talking about.....please leave it to the EXPERTS as my question was addressed to.
I am no expert but the 128 and 256 are S. Korea only at this time, no word on if or when they might be for sale elsewhere.

and BTW the 256gb is already available on ebay to be shipped internationaly...but only the single sim
Ah, so we're talking grey market. In that case first will be eBay but which outfits are hard to guess. One of those will likely be reasonably reliable, seems like the international phones didn't get the jump US phones did though, my FD didn't ship until Friday.
Krabman, Where did you get your FD please?

I saw that one but it's missing a couple bands. Looking for the UK Dual SIM as it seems to have all the bands the US does....
Krabman! Is JTBC Legit? Do you have your phone in your hand? Is it an FD? Is there any issue with region lock on the FD?
Thank you!!!!!
I answered your PM but I can get back here if others are interested, phone arrives tomorrow, it shipped on the 9th but lagged in customs for a few days.
Thanks for the info. I ordered one from them as well, but I wasn't able to view the model number. I hope it is an "FD".
I would be curious to see which CSC this phone will have and if you will be able to use Samsung Pay with the US sim card. I have a S8+, supposedly with Taiwanese CSC and can't use SP - it requires a Korean sim card.

It's not FD, it's single SIM, Korean model, it's clearly stated in the description.

Yep, it's FD, both SIMS in and working fine. No, it's not region locked. Yes, it's a carrier phone. No, you are not stuck with useless bloat, it's stock Sammy but downloads a few apps during setup which you can delete. You didn't ask but you'll be glad to know they threw in a US Samsung charger.
I'm not sure if this constitutes taunting or not but I haven't been on Sammy since the Note 7 and I'd forgotten how many features they have salted all over the place. I've been screwing around for hours and still haven't got my setup in yet.
Oh, one other, other thing. I didn't see any way to enable LTE on both SIMS, it seems you can do either one but not both together. Isn't an issue for me but that bugs some people although I don't recall ever having a phone that could.

Samsung Pay Regions

Hi, I have a note 8 in south korea (which is where ingot it from), and as far as i can tell i cant add any of my english cards on samsung pay, only my koreans ones.
My moth has an s8 that she got in spain and also cant add her english cards on it.
Doesnt anyone know what the deal is with this and if there is a way around it?

Could you confirm the model number for your Note 8? Is it SM-N950N?
If so, you can only use Korean cards with Samsung Pay.
As for the S8 from Spain, it will probably be the SM-G950F, in which case Samsung Pay will work in Europe, UK, Middle East, and lots of other places but not in South Korea.

G930F is a Galaxy S7.
Your first post mentioned it was an S8.
Anyway, you'll have to flash the British firmware on the phone to enable Samsung Pay to accept British cards.

N950N will only take South Korean issued cards.
You can't change the region on the 'N' variant.

I'm assuming you missed this post a few above yours.
the F can be region changed because it is sold across many different countries, and any of their official firmware can be flashed with Odin. The N is sold only in South Korea, so there are no other countries with 950N firmware.
If you flash F firmware via a zip in a custom recovery like TWRP, Knox is tripped and Samsung Pay won't work at all.

Samsung Pay (US) on foreign Note 9 (SM-N069F) possible?

Tried searching for this before making this thread, and asked on some other thread but got no reply. So I figured might as well ask through here. Is it possible at all? I purchased an Asian (exynos) version and current Samsung Pay is Asian (idk which country tbh), there was a preloaded SP and I was able to install SP from Google Play store, also through an APK but I got the Asian version always, no way to remove the SP Framework. Would flashing a different CSC yield a working SP (US). Thanks.
Yes. I have 960fD and sampay works. It all depends on the country it was designed for as to whether it will work. If that country has sampay AND your banks / credit cards are supported in that country it should be ok.
For example, I have a Singapore device and AMEX works. But it isn't supported on all versions.

My bank does support Samsung Pay, but since my phone is an Asian version, would a simple CSC change to US version make Samsung Pay work then?
Probably, but check. And there's nothing some about changing CSC. Search for both.

I had tried this first on my S7E a few years ago when I got it and it didn't work, so I didn't even bother to try something as simple as adding the card to see if it gets recognized, you're right just adding the card work, I still get the Asian ads and rewards which become moot but I don't care for that, thanks!
