Redmi 4A doesn't see my wifi - Xiaomi Redmi 4a Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I have a big problem. I have a Redmi 4A since 4 months. All stock, not rooted. It was all OK everything ok, but yesterday I noticed that he doesn't see anymore my wifi. He sees all the wifi of neighbour's, but not mine wifi. No settings was changed, both in the router and in the phone. I have other devices connected to the wifi (OnePlus 5t, Chrome cast) and they work well with wifi. I try ed rebooting the phone and the router but nothing changed. Hoe can I fix?
Thanks

Blind wifi-help please

I own a Note 3 N900A ATT and it will not connect to any network or see them ´, it seems to be blind.
My phone is not rooted yet, does it have anything to do with it?
Help
You do not have to be rooted to connect to WiFi. You might have to manually connect to Wi-Fi or do a factory reset.

Or you might have a phone with a bad wifi radio.
If you have a wifi router running in your house and you turn wifi on (on the phone), you should see the signal from the router within 5 seconds.
(Of course if there are no wifi routers in the vicinity you won't see any signals. You have to provide the wifi signal, the carrier doesn't. Some people think it just comes with the phone service.)

Do you have wireless internet? Is the WiFi on your phone actually turned on?
I have this problem too. Glad to see you are unrooted and stock. I had deleted many .apk's and thought it was something I did.
Just get an app from the play store to fix it for the time being.

thanx i did a factory reset and it started "seeing" all networks available :good:
wifi
Factory reset is a pain on the neck, I solved this issue by turning flight mode on, the restarting and as the phone restarts on flight mode I turned the wifi on and it sees everything now. give it a try :fingers-crossed:

Nexus 6 wont connecting to High School's WiFi

Hey! I recently made the switch over from a Note 3 to a Nexus 6 and I'm really enjoying it. Sadly, i'm having a pretty big issue. My Nexus 6 will not connect to my School's WiFi. I've tired resetting it and literally everything. The phone goes into the WiFi, but when I've to login, the phone won't connect. I've tired doing it through the browser, but chrome won't even let me go into the Login authentication page. I can connect to my home network, but yeah. School WiFi does not seem to work, is there any troubleshoot fix for this?
Thanks in advance!

What should i look after?
I found the problem. Turns out i was connected to my 5ghz wifi instead of the 2.4ghz. I only lost 1% during the hour now on the 2.4.

May I know how do you set your phone to connect only on 2.4Ghz?
On my old phone (Nexus 5X) in Marshmallow (not Nougat) I could disable 5Ghz on the phone. I can't find this in my P9, Marshmallow C636B180

Ah....you had my heart aflutter for just a moment. Unfortunately my issue is with work wifi, set by corporate IT.
Due to the multiple hotspots @ 5Ghz @ same SSID it just drives the phone crazy. This is especially worse when you have wifi based location switched on.

Sorry man
I can feel your pain. But its really weird that the 5Ghz is such a battery drainer? I just dont understand that. I read something about the similar problems you experiencing at work. If im not mistaked the solution was to set up some kind of wifi hotspot. Cant seem to find the website again tho.

Wifi keeps disconnecting

Hi all,
Hoping someone can help me out. I have the 512GB version and been having a hell of a time with my wifi randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. Sometimes it wont even reconnect due to "authentication error". Anyone have a fix or been experiencing the same issue?

I haven't used any other wifi but all my phones are fine on my home router except for this one.
What router is it? Check/experiment with the settings on it.

Yea, I did that on Friday. No go, thanks for the reply though.
I have the same trouble with my note 9, wife's note 8, sons s9, daughters s8 and I am using Samsung connect home pro wifi with 5 AP in my system. Laptops and TVs all still work...just the phones randomly have trouble.

Have a look at wireless mode and see if changing that makes a difference.

Problems with WPA3

So my accesspoint now supports WPA3 in beta.
This seems to work great with my apple products but I have some issues using wpa3 with my Pixel 4 XL.
At first I had to delete the WiFi and reenter the passphrase to get WPA3 working.
Then after a few hours the phone disconnects and asks for the passphrase again but can't connect. Keeps asking for passphrase again and again. I have to disable and enable WiFi to get it working again. This happens every few hours.
For me this looks more like a pixel related problem then a problem related to my access point, isn't it? But with WPA2 everything works fine.
Anyone else out there running WPA3 personal with Pixel 4/XL experiencing problems?

I know late answer but better as none.
I just activate WPA3 on my AVM Repeater 3000 and i have the same problems.
I needed to delete the passphrase and connect again
because before that the phone didn't change to WPA3.
And when the connection going away unexpectly i must deactivate and activate the wlan once.
I don't know whether this happens so often as by you because i'm running wpa3 since an hour (round about).
And well i have a few hickups in wpa2, too. So i can't say whether this is wpa3 specific.
I know that doesn't help you really but well at least you are not the only one with that problem.
Nice to see I'm not the only one experiencing these problems.
Have you reported the problem to AVM?

One thing to try is in your WiFi profile > Advanced > Privacy = Use device MAC.

I already do this because i'm using MAC whitelisting.
The issues with WPA3 and FRITZ!Box router/ap seems to be fixed with March Update and/or latest beta/"Labor" firmware for Fritz ?
@dhacke can you confirm this?

Wow they are fast. I wrote to them at monday and now they have already a labor update?!
Great. I will install the labor update on my wlan repeater on Sunday and report back.
@Doenerbude
today i installed the new labor update on my fritz repeater 3000 and sadly it doesn't help.
My connection aborts are so high as before. I'm back on wpa2 again.
I have issues with WPA3 as well. I switched it on the Google Nest WiFi and whilst my Chromebook doesn't face any issues, my Pixel 4XL is randomly disconnecting from the network.
I've also noticed that when I walk in my apartment, it doesn't connect automatically. I have to switch off the WiFi on the phone and switch it back on to connect to the WiFi network.
This issue does not appear when WPA3 is switched off. I initially thought it's a poor implementation on the Nest WiFi but perhaps not?

I believe meanwhile the implementation in our phone is the problem. That would explain why the problem occurs on different wpa3 router/aps.
As far as i know the pixel 4 xl isn't a wifi6 certified device and only wifi6 certfified devices are required to support wpa3.
That could explain the bad implementation.
