Got home from work to find my norève leather case for the Tab in the mail. If you've never seen one, it's this one: http://www.gearzap.com/noreve-tradition-leather-case-for-samsung-galaxy-tab.html
Fits very nicely. Snug fit, very smooth high quality leather, good sewing and the flip-out stand seems very stable. Looks quite neat, too. I'm positively impressed.
me too, excelent quality.
Thanks for the review rapax, I'm ready to get one now
They just sent me an email saying my order status has been changed to "awaiting arrivals"... what the hell does that mean?
Anyone know if there are other cases available? Here in Russia its impossible to even contact noreve - their site is managed by a third party.
EDIT: They just told me it would be three weeks before they shipped. Bummer.

Did you order different color from black???
i then sent them a letter asking if they had any other colors... sorry no was the reply
as far as i can tell they are the only retailer in russia selling a case for the tab - but the only stock they have will arrive in three weeks
probably just a direct translation of the global site
Jesus wept! 54 quid?!?
I've never used a smiley in my life, but
Hi there.
Mine arrived today, and it isn't the same model as mentioned in the first post of this topic.
The closure isn't magnetic on mine, replaced by a strong snap fastener.
The stand has changed. It's a very thin yet strong metal part that "sticks" well to the case thanks to 2 magnetic points, see how it works on the pics attached.
The "Quality boxed packaging" isn't the same quality as my past norêve products: a simple soft white cardboard packaging with black norêve logo replaced the usual navy blue/silver logo gift box.
Great leather and build quality, the minimum for that price.
Used to prefer Noreve previously but they don't wear well. . . The magnetic clasp part was the first to go, the button fell off..then the whole clasp and the top leather flap where it used to bend kind of wore out...shoddy construction...happened with both my cases...so I stoppedbordering it...

Happy with mine. . .
Ordered 3 days before christmas. . .arrived 10 am today.. .perfect fit. . Good leather quality. . Value for money absolutely fine. . Will be interesting tosee how it looks in a few weeks of daily use.
Can someone please let me know how much the Noreve case sells for in US dollars? Thanks so much in advance!

Just Google/Bing for the current exchange rate, it changes all the time. A good rough estimate is about $1.6 to the £. So really rough and going high if it's £60 it'd be $96, and I'd imagine a little more for shipping to the US than whatever the site quotes.
Just as the subject line states: Who is interested in a *Real* Carbon Fibre Composite Case for their Samsung Galaxy Tab?
There is a company in Florida that made my HTC Supersonic (Evo 4G) Carbon Fibre Composite Case. Very very good quality stuff, not only the quality of the fabric is top notch but the fitment is perfect.
About a week ago i contacted them and asked if they would be manufacturing a case for our Galaxy Tabs and they are waiting to see how many requests they get before putting the time in on developement and testing.
How much you ask? Not exactly sure, but they manufacture a case for the iPad which is $124.95 and a majority of their smartphone cases are $99.95, so i would say pricing would be on or around $124.95 for this case.
If you guys are interested, please contact them via Facebook @ www.facebook.com/infinitycarbon or on their website @ http://www.InfinityCarbon.com.
Thanks in advance!
Today, 12/27/10, i was contacted by Infinity Carbon:
"Good news! We are currently working on cases for the Galaxy Tab and they should be available in our store in just a couple of weeks!"
*EDIT*

If not, everyone have an Awesome, yet safe Happy New Years!!!
i would definitely interested as long as the sides are protected as well =)
I voted yes but then got to thinking about it. Carbon Fiber is very strong but not made to hold up against scuffing and scraping. now if they put a very durable coating over the carbon then I would be interested in it.
What I'd love to see is this type of cover but one that replaces the back cover totally..and wraps around the sides protecting them too. that would make it almost nude size-wise and back pocketable. And, yes, I know that would void my warranty..but looking at my ATT Tab and its faux back carbon lookalike cover made me wish for the real thing..and gave me that idea.

Sounds like an appliqué like the PhantomSkinz Chromatics would suit your needs. Do a little XDA searching for feedback, and I posted a link in the Accessories sub-forum regarding the Tab. It's just a sticker, but it's a good sticker.
OK Guys, i just got conformation from Infinity Carbon that they are going to go ahead and start the manufacturing process for our Galaxy Tabs!!!

I have had poor experience with real CF cases on wireless devices. They look great, they are extremely light and sleek, but they interfere with signal in a major way. In fact one that i purchased for an iPhone i had was a CF/Kevlar composite fabric made specifically to reduce interference, and yet it still caused very noticable interference.
If the weave was thin and loose, then perhaps it would work better in regards to signal, but then it would not be as strong or visually appealing IMO.
good job pls try to do a type of way to have teh cf wrap the sides or at least protect the sides similar to gel cases, i know that you can make flexible type of cf ( i used to work with a cf company for scion parts ) just hope it will look great and protect well =)

Do they have a tighter weave they can use?

They use what most Carbon Fibre Composite Parts are manufactured with, 2x2 3k. I'm not sure if you mean 1x1, aka Plain Weave, which cuts the looks down to tinys sqaures instead of what you see here.

I doubt we will be offering the 1x1 plain weave as that is not very sought after these days but we can always make it as a custom order so if they want to email me we can discuss the options. [email protected]
Hey,
I usually post in the Nexus S forum, where I review cases (done quite a few now) - I picked up a tab last week and was just wondering if anyone would be interested in me posting reviews here as well. I usually allow people to suggest cases as well!
Just seeing if enough people are interested since tab isn't that new.
Thanks!

Yes I am, because I'm looking for a new case for my Tab
Ef-c980nbecstd
I have this case except for one thing, mine has a flap to cover the front as well.
http://www.google.com/products/cata...=X&ei=zjrKTZa5J8rZ0QGq3ZznBw&ved=0CE0Q8wIwCA#
model number is different, mine in EF-C980NBECSTD, which, when I google it, gives back no results. ..... now it does! http://www.spotit.com.au/buy/80133_GALAXY_TAB___KEYBOARD_DOCK_EF_C980NBECSTD.aspx
mine is also made is korea, better than china, my opinion.
Yes, I've been on the look out for a case with a keyboard as well.
Could you review this one please?
Most of the customer reviews are giving it a one star which is very harsh I don't like the other similar one as much, it relies on a magnetic flap to prop it up. Doesn't look as good

To be fair, it only got one review.
I'm trying to find some for the Zenu case, They are pretty expensive and the only Youtube review is in Spanish. You can find them on Ebay and Amazon, there is several options on color and material too.

Yea, but what i meant were, other products with this case (you know those case + screen protector combos etc...) also got 1 star
Thanks for the help guys.
this is the dicota business folio 10, its a universal case for 10 inch tablets. its a german company and i only found 1 website that sells it that actualy ships to north america. This isn't your typical mass produced not so great quality case that probly won't last too long. I have not seen any reviews, customer images or videos of this folio case on the internet yet.
this is very good case, you can tell that the moment you touch its very good quality leather material. I know that case will last for a long time.
this case has no magnets on it anywhere which I what I wanted.
here are a bunch of pics
few more pics
Thats nice but it would be pretty annoying to unzip it evrry time you want your nexus 10 imo

Looks really good! Could you make some pictures with the tablet in it?
Thanks!

Ok I will in a few days stay tuned, there's sort of a cool thing/surprise from a pic ill post
did you maked it by yourself ?
Hello !
I have a few questions about OP3 accessories and compatibility.
1/ TGSP :
I heard that the TGSP from OP doesn't cover the edges when the second version of the Orzly does, is that right ? Any guy with the second gen of Orzly tempered glass to confirm ? Any comparison between the new Orzly and the APLUS which seems to be very good and cover really properly ?
2/ Case :
Also in Xda and Google, I ended up thinking the bamboo 'case', black abricot, ... Doesn't cover at all a **** and is ONLY about aesthetics, true ?
You guys have mostly opted for ? Orzly case ?
3/ USB C and OTG :
I'm actually looking for usb C/A key 2 in 1, have you guys tested some usb C key (or even A type with an USB C Adapter) and can confirm it works well with the OP 3 ?
And my last but not least question : If you charge EVERYTIME the OP3 with dash charge, can it has very bad impact on battery life ? Because you know, cycles, delivered voltage to the battery,... Is it recommended to charge the Op3 with a regular 1A charger sometimes or do you all everytime uses the dash charge ?
Thank you everyone for the answers.
Cheers !
Never settle.
NB : I apologize for misspelled words, english is actually not my main language (third one)

Hey!
In answer to #1 the Curved TGSP from OnePlus does indeed cover the entire screen, unfortunately it covers TOO much of the screen, so you loose some of your screen space if you apply it.
See these videos for references:
https://youtu.be/c9PL1SyhKJo
https://youtu.be/rVtWOmDrVGU
https://youtu.be/8S1515WSGhw
I've also got a video for the new Orzly TGSP here:
https://youtu.be/ohWQNNGCfQE
and currently testing the Nillkin CP+ (though I'm not too happy with it after a few days usage)
https://youtu.be/jO53IhkuIGk
AND to answer #2 for you, if you're talking about the Official OnePlus 3 cases ie. the Sandstone, Apricot etc.. then yeah they're not much protection I'm afraid; unless you pair it with a TGSP.
Jono
Thank you so much for the clarifications and the links as well.
It covers too much screen, but is it soft at touch and confortable ? And can it be well paired with the OP's cases (sandstone...) without any custom DIY tricky things ?
Cheers mate.
Last question ! What do you personnaly think about the screen quality itself ? Does TGSP modify the colors or create rainbow reflextion ?
Never settle.
Thanks !
