Hi guys,
I'm trying to replace the front glass of the phone, but can't find any guide on how to do that. Has anyone done this before or can anybody show me a tutorial on the topic?
I only bought the glass, not the whole LCD panel, actually this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/263256388752
Thanks,
Tibi

Im looking for something like the smartcover that can turn the screen on by flipping the cover or simple tilt(minimal movement) etc
Would be great if someone ported slide2wake
I'm interested too. Does anyone know?
I bought a cheap replacement screen from Ebay. If you want to know some details, it has the three navigation touch buttons visible in silver color (these are almost invisible on the original) and a blue LED (original: white or RGB), not as bright as the original. Most of the screens I find on AliExpr. or Ebay look like this on the pictures
Question: This replacement screen is missing a few rows of pixels at the top, as you can see from the attached image. Is there a way to ignore these pixels, like set a custom resolution? Configure a "notch" that goes all the way across?
If you know any cheap, good screens, let me know as well. I guess I'll need another one in the future in case I break one again.
I want to make a wallpaper specific for the OP7 Pro which has a border that follows the outline of the screen. The problem I'm facing is that I don't know exactly where the screen ends and where it begins at the corner, and it would be extremely tedious to find this out manually. I want something similar to what people did for the s10 hole punch (https://icdn6.digitaltrends.com/image/creative-uses-of-s10-camera-720x720.jpg), except with the corners instead.
Has anyone drawn out exactly which pixels are on and which are off? Here is a crude drawing of exactly what I mean: https://i.imgur.com/09qwSZg.png
You can use those apps to find out

Download Borderlight Live Wallpaper
Adjust the edges accordingly in app and take a screenshot. Should have the exact dimensions you need.
Hello,
I’m basically a user and I'm looking for a workaround for a problem. I have a Moto G2 2014 XT1040. It has fallen and now show some dead pixels at screen's bottom. I need some app or trick that helps me turn those dead pixels black to integrate them to my navigation bar's format/color while I can't buy a new LCD. Give me some ideas, please. I know I could use search engine, but probably I would take eons to find something. Thanks already.

You can use the overscan trick and decrease screen size on one or two lines! There are some apps on PlayStore that do that.
