Region: VZW
With ATT SIM I get none Verizon SIMS notification, but It connects to ATT and all is fine
Unbranding attempts
Odin: 3.12.7
FW from Updato: G950USQU1AQGL-VZW
1st attempt
Via Odin Installed AP, BL, CP, CSC, install successful, No error.
During update, it stops at 32% and does an erase, it like nothing happened.
2nd attempt
Via Odin Installed only AP, Install successful, No error.
Reset to Factory Setting, Boom now I am unbranded.
few issues:
I get Sprint OMADM - Checking Device status notification, I have to forcestop device setting to stop the notification, need to be done after every reboot. (Help as to why this even showing up)
no more bloatware, but the package includes Verizon & T-Mobile Unlock Request apps (I can Disable)
During setup, Cricket Wireless manager is invoked. why and how to disable. (Need help here)
With ATT SIM installed, Data Transfer and texting is fine, when making a call the call ended immediately after initiation, and calls go directly to voicemail if anyone tries to call me. (will be dealing with ATT on this issue, but if someone has any insight will be great)
Tried this built G950USQU1AQGL-Unknown, but the same results.
what other firmware can I try? can I use ATT for example? if yes which one?

After many long calls with AT&T, they weren't able to resolve the issue of calling out or getting calls, their answer to take the phone back.

I have my phone , it's an Galaxy Note8... was unlock already because i can use with my at&t sim card even the logo when booting on was tmobile logo...
Well here the thing: i can make phone call and texting, using with wifi is ok, but it can't use with cellular data, even i turned cellular data mode was on already! Last night i went to Settings, and do the Factory reset. After that my imei was null / no imei... So i did try restarting on and off the phone couple times luckily the imei was appeared again - but with another imei not match the imei before !?!?
It's long story makes you guys get bored right? But i just want to ask is there anyway to flash this Model to an USA region ROM? because i search google says SM-N9500 is from China ... How to flash my phone to another ROM region and avoid of losing imei again plus can using on cellular data. ( mine was not root because i don't know how to ) ... Below is my phone informations..

I believe you need to get att to provision your non att mobile phone for it to be allowed to use LTE on their network.

All I can say is read here and you will learn. As long as the CPU/SoC is the same you can cross-flash. I am reading more and more saying as long as its ARM based doesnt matter, but safer than sorry. Please Note BE CAREFUL (AYOR aka- BRICKing, WARRANT VOIDING, ETC), its a little advanced for beginners.
My experience has been with Galaxy S3 and Note4 & Edge variant.
ALWAYS WHEN CROSS-FLASHING, REMOVE THE MODEM FILES AND BOOT-LOADER FILES. You will have to lurk about xda to identify these files. On older Galaxy Devices could tell you from memory what the boot-loader names are. Samsung in Increasing KNOX Security has added so many partitions its not even funny, its scary!
PS: I cannot and will not help with this project.

Could you do a adb system pull of your N9500SQU1AQC9 device. Im trying to port n920p with the note8 firmware. Nothing else will will port to the SM-N920P but the N9500. Im currently using the teleteam 5.2 s8/with n8 features. I want to go full note 8.

Hello everyone and happy new year, my Samsung s21 ultra unlocked phone on Verizon wireless is still running the BUK7 firmware ,not sure why it won't update, anyone else having the same issue, help would be greatly appreciated
Update hasn't rolled out fully to everyone yet after they halted it. Stop making new threads, just be patient...
I'm on US unlocked with a Mint Moble sim and I got the update after BUK7 which was the BUKF. It was a small <300 MB update, but still with November patch.
If you don't have the update yet, you can download it from sammobile or samfw
But we should bet getting one soon with the December security update. Seems like the SM-G998U1 model with all other CSCs are getting them since yesterday. The unlocked model has the XAA CSC and for that the last update was December 8th to BUKF

Has anyone gotten the update for the US unlocked version?
This is very strange. I have minor bugs and i was hoping the December patch would solve but it seems the lapse has already begun for this device.
Strangely enough locked versions have received December patch ( Only verizon i think)
If anyone can shed some light... please do and does it make sense flashing verizon firmware on this device.

I got the BUKK OTA update this morning on my unlocked S21 Ultra here in the USA on the Visible network.
It does have the December 2021 security update and I believe it was around 300 mb in size. I can't tell you what it fixed, since the 120 Hz bug was fixed in a previous update, and that was the only real bug that bothered me.
Just got the January update here in Germany. Lots of stuff updated...
I just got BUKK on my s21 ultra unlocked in the US, I use t-mobile as my carrier. Hopefully the January update comes out with some more fixes soon.
I just flashed my Sprint SM-G998U to a U1 and got the update last night

I have a Galaxy Note 9 that was originally an AT&T Phone in USA. I purchased it unlocked in Canada and I use it on Fido Network. The Baseband version is N960USQU1CSAA. It is running One UI 1.0 and Android 9. Is there any way to root this phone? Do I have to use same baseband version?
