Hello
I'm a Canadian looking to buy an 8.9 from Negri Electronics, but I'm confused on pricing and models. Here's my confusion:
Samsung P7300 3G 16GB 3G/GSM Galaxy 8.9" Tab (Soft Black) $498.50
https://negrielectronics.com/samsung-p7300-3g-gsm-galaxy-8-9-tab-soft-black.html
Samsung GT-P7310MAYXAR Tablet 8.9 16GB Wifi Only (Metallic Gray) $495.50
https://negrielectronics.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-101-16gb-mg.html
Samsung SGH-i957 Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE (AT&T) (Unlocked) (Black) $579.50
https://negrielectronics.com/samsung-sgh-i957-galaxy-tab-8-9-lte-at-t-unlocked-black.html
What's confuses me the most is that the P7300 3G 16GB has been reduced from $594 down to $498, the same price as the wifi version ($495.50), but it has 3G/GSM. What gives? Why is the P7300 3G so cheap?
This section is for the 7" Tab, not the 8.9
Next time look closer, there is a specific section (and subsections within it) for the 8.9 version:

I'm looking to buy an S2 but I've become confused by all the Txxx numbers. If I'm looking for the 8" tablet what's the current model number? Is there a WiFi and an LTE variant?
Specifically, T710 vs T713. Every retail store I look at seems to sell the T710, but Amazon says the T713 is newer.
T713 is the newer model of the T710, with the snapdragon chipset. It hasn't been properly released yet, although it might be available in Germany. T715 is the LTE variant, and T719 is the newer snapdragon model of that.
So, first digit is size (7=8", 8=9.7"), 1 appears constant, last digit is 0 for WiFi Exonys, 5 for LTE Exonys, 3 for WiFi Snapdragon(new), 9 for LTE Snapdragon (new).
This was very helpful, thank you. Just picked my S2 up from Best Buy a couple of days ago and it is the T713. Was confused about it until I read this
Sent from my SM-T713 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Hi Everyone
My last tablet has gone tits up, an Asus Nexus 7 so I'm looking for a new one. I feel the galaxy S2 is a good upgrade.
Just after abit of advice, been reading that there is 2 processor variants. Does this apply to the UK version, if so what should I be on the lookout for?
Also I had my nexus 7 rooted, can't the galaxy S2 be rooted?
Thanks for you time and thank you in advance for your advice!
I believe that mostly Samsung chooses where to send their models and that determines what processor.
Most likely UK only has one.
While it isn't a Note, the S2 (8") is very nice.
The SM-T719 / SM-T713 are the 2016 versions with the SnapDragon SOC.
The SM-T715 / SM-T710 are the 2015 versions with the Exynos SOC.
I got my SM-T719 through Amazon Italy for a lot less money than Amazon UK or Amazon Germany.
It's worth checking out.
Hi,
is there a comparison of all the different Tab S2 models?
I do know that SM-T7xx means 4Ah battery, 8" screen, and SM-T8xx means ~6Ah and ~10"... but what other differences are there?
is there a table of specs somewhere?
Second digit is always 1 (0 in Tab S, 1 in Tab S2, future Tab S3 should be 2)
The third digit is
0: 2015 (Exynos 5433), Wifi only
3: 2016 (Snapdragon 652), Wifi only
5:2015 (Exynos 5433), 3G/4G Europe
7: like 5 but north America (I think)
9: 2016 (Snapdragon 652), 3G/4G Europe
So you get
T710
T713
T715
T717
T719
T810
T813
T815
T817
T819
Awesome, that is exactly what I was looking for... Do which processor is the better choice, exynos or snapdragon?
Cheers

Snapdragon 652 is better processor than Exynos 5433. Faster and newer and more power efficient
Mine is SM-T719Y and I bought it in Asia.
Do you know what does "Y" at the end mean?

That's what I read too. But it also said the older tablet had better graphics performance... Is that actually noticeable?

As I'm in Europe I'm not sure about the non European variants for the 4G/3G that have different bands in different continents. Perhaps the Y is related to that?

As I don't have the "old" Tab S2 I can't compare. But I could do benchmarks or instal games and check difference with online reviews of old model. Or with Exynos Note 4 reviews as 2015 Tab S2 has the same SoC (CPU & GPU) than Exynos version of Note 4. Just tell me which program are you interested in. I can't promise anything but when I have time I will try

There's also a, "Barnes & Noble," edition in the US but no one seems to know its model number. I presume its different as the firmware will have all of the B&N bloat.

I've installed 3Dmark benchmark and in Sling Shot ES 3.1 test my TabS2 SD652 get
877 points
while Exynos Tab S2
710
Galaxy Note 4 (same SoC than Exynos Tab 2) get 693
So in that test Qualcomm SD GPU is better.

Anyone got Antutu and Antutu 3D numbers for the T71x?

My nexus 10 scored 160 in the same test, so now I know what to expect.
Thanks!
A interesting web about GPU in ARM SoC is

Maybe this article will help.
http://wccftech.com/galaxy-note-4-snapdragon-vs-exynos/
I'm looking to get myself a Tab S2, but it's really confusing to see all those versions.
I know there's a WiFi-only model (which I'm looking for) and a LTE one.
I've seen mentions of following models:
T713 (supported by LineageOS, which I'm also looking for), WiFi only, so that would be the one for me to look for?
T710
T715
T715Y
T719
T719N
T710
Am I correct assuming that the T710/T715 (WiFi/LTE) versions are the previous-gen ones and T713/T719 ones are the current ones?

Your assumptions are pretty much correct 4rz0;73072978. The SoC is slightly better on the current gen, but the GPU is worse. If you ever want to use MHL, you need the first gen, Exynos version as the current gen SD652 doesn't support MHL whatsoever.
If you end up with an LTE version, (but intend to just use it as wifi,) you will need to put it in Airplane mode and turn on Wifi as the LTE card still searches for signal and drains the battery.
Good luck.
whay does the Y mean on t715y,,,,,whats difference t715....thanks
