Hi, can't find info on this anywhere, can anyone please shed some light on my problem? I did a factory reset on my P10, bootloader is locked again which is great but FRP is showing as unlocked in bootloader. When I try to use Andriod Pay it wouldn't work and says bootloader is either unlocked, or I use custom ROM etc...but I'm full stock and bootloader is locked again, I think it's the FRP that causes this. How do I lock it please? Thanks for your help
Edit: I found out I'm on completely different firmware that to what I'm supposed to be(I think). I'm on VTR-L09C432B201 which seems to be Europe region and I'm in UK. Do you think this prevents pay from working?
What is your Enable OEM Unlock option status?
If it's enable, try to disable it, reboot and check FRP status.

It's still the same, it was enabled and I disabled it and no change. I'm just trying to get that android pay to work. Maybe I'll try to force OTA update to 8.0 and see if that does anything??

I recently updated my P10 VTR L29 C432 from nougat to Oreo B360 via oreoupgrade script method as posted in forum but after update my bootloader seems to be locked again i wanted to root my phone via installing TWRP but it's not allowed by fastboot
Any solution or any solution to unlock bootloader without losing data !? I have too much files and apps on phone that i won't lose
I still have the same problem, created an thread many weeks ago and still don't have an reply. Seems like the only way is to make an backup with that backup tool in the settings (advanced->save&restore) or an backup with hisuite...
There's no way to unlock the bootloader without factory reset.
You can only do a backup with HiSuite or Huawei cloud - but notice: you need to backup DCIM manually!
Just a question, because you said, that you updated your phone with my oreoupgrade script:
Did you follow my guide exactly or did you do anything after the update progress was finished?
I need this information, because if this happens to more people, I need to take a look on the progress.

That's odd. All devices I testeds stayed unlocked after update.
The update won't lock the bootloader by itself - normally.
You're sure, that you didn't lock it manually?
Is only the FRP Lock active? You can unlock this by enabling the OEM Unlock in Developer Settings in the settings app.

Okay, that's bad. I'm sorry for this.
You need to unlock it with fastboot command and do a factory reset.
But don't know why the update process locked your phone while other stay unlocked.

Thats wierd if it gave you the frp lock, you can just remove that lock by going into dev settings -> allow oem unlocking.
I wasn't able to use this option. Maybe it's because of the custom ROM because I still use one and I can't use the oem unlock option, tough my frp is unlocked. But watch out.

It should be enabled, what is your rom?
It happened on Elemental 1.1 by KingOfMezi first, now I use Morfus by Catuva, because of some bugs in Elemental before the today's fix. I was in Nougat, because I bricked my phone with that frp lock and the option was available. Now it's unavailable once again. I didn't check when I was on official EMUI 8, but it was probably available I think.

If you really want to get frp removed you can check out dc unlocker... or dc phoenix to flash the full stock rom
I don't need it for now, I just said it like by the way, just watch out for frp lock and careful if you get it, especially if using custom ROM.

If you have unlocked bootloader oem option in developer is grey and inactive. So if u screw something with magisk and deacrivate oem it means frp goes locked its very hard to activate oem and get frp unlocked again especially on Emui 8. In this case u must use DC unlocker, it means credits, or
You can use frp unlock.zip to flash via Twrp in order to enable oem and frp.
Zip file you can find on

Or you can just get a custom rom installed that will be able to enable frp unlock and then just go back to emui 8

Flash stock firmware with latest Odin in download mode. That should get you back up and running. OEM toggle switch should re-appear within 7 days (unless the date change trick works for you). The OEM unlock thread has more background, and there is a sticky thread here for the date workaround.
I have flashed all again and its working. Weird for me is about thso OEM issue - ive never had one xd even after flash srock firmware i could switch oem unlock. Curious what's depends from

Usually that error happens when you are not on stock (rooted with twrp, etc.) and hit the OEM toggle...it sees you have modified your phone in an unauthorized way and puts you in 'jail'.
I toggled it by myself i didnt know that it should be always on...
OEM issue - what is the problem. I have heard that the problem os thatbon some phones therenis no such options .... curious why

Snapdragon bootloaders are locked so OEM unlock toggle isn't really relevant there. For Exynos there is a long thread here with lots of info. Essentially it can take 7 days to appear if you don't see it at first boot or if you end up in jail.
I dont know how ( i think i did it when i open oem lock [unlock]) but my FRP lock status is "FRP Unlock"
Can it cause to prevent me to install new roms on my phone and if yes, how can i lock back?
Thanks....

If you don't have Bootloader unlocked just go to Settings /System/ Developer options and switch off OEM Unlock (=FRP Unlock)
Btw, there is no need for panic because of unlocked FRP (and/or because of its warning while booting

You didn't state here but from your another post (you installed RR), you unlocked Bootloader and therefore obviously you had to unlock OEM/FRP
If you don't like unlocked FRP, then you first go back to stock Nougat, re-lock Bootloader and forget about rooting, installing custom ROMs, etc - for all that you must have unlocked Bootloader AND unlocked FRP
i need do UNLOCK FRP but on OREO i cant find setting UNLOCK OEM...
EDIT: sorry i read now "Chinese Brands dont have FRP." so i can install directly OPENKIRIN rom without FRP check . My bootloader is unlock

On the 'Chinese' Oreo there is no OEM unlock option in Developers Options, and OEM/FRP always stays unlocked - please consult HWOTA7 OP instructions.
OEM/FRP stays unlocked also if going to Open Kirin ROMs and back (if f
the required installation procedure is followed)
Check in Fastboot, maybe only your Bootloader is locked, and you just need to unlock Bootloader again in Fastboot

Ok, be careful to follow OpenKirin installation guide
Btw, there was a trick to re-enable hidden OEM Unlock option in Oreo, post in the HWOTA7 thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9...date-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849/post77296996
With root, open from eg MiXPlorer:
/hw_oem/prop/local.prop
find and uncomment the line (remove trailing character #):
ro.frp.pst=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/frp
Then reboot, open Settings/System/Developer options and find the belowed OEM Unlock option (see attachments)
Hi Guys
Need your assistance, its a complete mess here.
I found android 14 pre releases in developer options -> DSU Loader -> Installed GSM+ARM64. Thought it will install android 14 pre release (Saw in one of youtube video -
).
Post restart phone it went to system has been destoryed.
1. OEM unlock option was not checked (Bootloader locked)
2. Only booting in fastboot mode.
3. Flashing through EDL/ Flash Auth not working.
I can only think of unlocking bootloader may fix this issue but problem is bootloader is locked. Can't unlock it because oem unlock is not enabled under developer options.
Please help me bypass OEM unlock check so that I can unlock bootloader & probably flashing TWRP or Orange recovery will fix the problem
Thank you
This tutorial is for those who have the bootloader unlocked (see the video at 3 minutes 38, the padlock is open).
What did you want to do?
The phone is bricked, nothing to do with the locked bootloader, see a Xiaomi repair center.
Hi
I missed that it is for unlocked bootloader.
So if bootloader is locked, it should not update the partitions & if so it should roll back to original miui if it fails.
But instead it bricked my phone.
So if someone can help me unlock bootloader I can try flashing recovery & then rom.
Or suggest better option. service center people asked to replace motherboard.
hi!
If there is any way to fix it, unfortunately it is paid.

It is imperative to unlock the bootloader with a xiaomi account where unlocking is authorized and associated with your smartphone. Without it, not worth it...
So unlock the bootloader and apply one of those countless FAQs that you'll find on XDA or youtube.
For me, settled in an hour.
Good luck,
