Note:
Due to the FlymeOS for Mi 6 is based on Android 7.1 adaptation, you must ensure that the underlying Android OS is 7.1, for those who has been upgraded to 8.0 you need to downgrade to 7.1 before you can flash FlymeOS for Mi 6, Go to the Downloads for the required firmware.
Unlocked bootloader is required then boot into TWRP Recovery.
Back up important data, to avoid data loss caused by unknown problems during flashing.
TWRP Tutorial:
Put FlymeOS ROM Package into the phone root directory, do not decompress.
Shutdown, and then press Volume + power button to enter Recovery mode.
Click "Clear", then slide to confirm the factory reset (I do not recommend the so-called four clear .... do not know who teaches you)
Back to the home page, click "Install" To flash into the system, sliding confirmation to start flashing.
Restart the phone (if you need ROOT then follow step 4, select SuperSU card flash into the system and then restart).
2-3 minutes for the first boot, please be patient . If long time (more than 10 minutes) doesn't boot, restart to the Recovery formatted data partition, Method: Recovery click Clear - Format Data partition, enter yes to confirm, after completed, return to the Recovery home page, click restart - After entering the Recovery again, connect the computer, copy the Flyme ROM package to the phone, and then follow Step 4 of the tutorial, select the Flyme package, flash and then restart the phone. Note: formatted data partition will be built-in storage of all files cleared, so if you want to do this operation, be sure to do a good job in data backup.
Precautions:
If your phone has Root, will only check to the full package update, update will not lose data, will only lose root privileges, please rest assured upgrade!
Do not modify the system files, if you have to change the system files, the OTA upgrade may result in failure, this case can only brush the entire package to upgrade!

Looks more like a miui theme than a ROM. Just a bit more deep.
Because if he is using miui as base then there are only so many things he can actually change.
I wonder you will find the system launcher APK name also miui system in this rom zip. I haven't downloaded so can't check.

Pretty sure it's just that Flyme looks almost the same as miui.

What are the known bugs?

Well there is a major "bug" or maybe it's rather a feature ...it's mostly in CHINESE!!!!!
And it can't find my location. And no Google service or apps..you need to download them by yourself.
I like this flyme os very much, it's sad that it's not translated fully. Overall everything is very very good. Fingerprint very fast and correct. Camera is original miui camera. The OS looks and feels very stable and good. Hope to find some way to get rid of all the Chinese apps and translate all this to English.

Flyme is the official rom of Meizu,and Meizu is a Chinese company.Those apps are usually not translate to English.

WiFi Tethering is broken.
USB Tethering seems to be so slow, frequently disconnect.
Video Playback from web pages makes the browsers close.

The rom is good but the multitasking like things are bugged. What I mean is when I open my vpn app (psiphon) it runs nicely but when I open it from the recents it restarts and stops vpn service.. Then when in recents you can't get out of it easily by pressing the home button that annoys me much

When I tried to root by flashing SuperSU the rom did not boot. You can try to root it too. If you find any working method please do share it. You could try flashing SuperSU too if you like and then post if the ROM booted or not.

Works well for me, I can transfer any files to the internal memory and sd.
Have you tried to turn on debug USB?
In this rom missing some functions, you can not choose the type of connection, missing the performance menu and you can not change the toggle.
We hope that you can add in the next build

Yes, i turned on usb debug. But problem still going. I changed usb connection type. Maked PTP, for now working. Thank you for your interest.

only thing I found till now, is that vibrator intensity is not working. not a big deal, but i just thought i'd mention.

Hello , I want to say that yesterday installirah this rum and am satisfied until the day I realized that I do not work mobile data or speaking 3d. I tried it with wifi no problem but just being included even wrote that no connection is included but is not. Can you help thanks in advance

Please try manually configuring your mobile data. That might do the trick. what do you mean by speaking 3d?

Update: Battery drains a bit. Overnight ( 7-8 hours) I lost 11% battery.
Also once, when unlocking the phone, it became sluggishly slow(as if both cores were running at some 100 MHz). Drawing the pattern and unlocking took some 40 seconds, and everything on my homescreen was gone and wallpaper was black. And it was lagging incredibly.
So I flashed Bauner's Kernel, coz it has the freeze/reboot issue solved. But after flashing it,the phone did not boot at all.
What might the problem be? Back to RR 5.4.7 right now.

Did it boot for you? some user report that they have bootloop.

i managed to install this rom, very beautiful rom, but gallry app is forced closing every time i open gallery. Is someone else also facing this issue ?

Compared to the stock customized rom, how do the battery life and photo quality are like?
Stock rom has a lot of features but it is battery consumption for most rom. Can this rom be the daily driver?

Hello there. I have flashed the ROM and it is smooth & fluid like. Battery life is ok so far. Have not got around to a full testing usage. Thus, I have a couple questions for anyone that can answer. 1st question; What is the difference between the official link & the international version? 2nd question; Sorry if I missed something or just don't understand what I have read so far. But how in the world do you flash the kernel? I am having a hard time trying to do so. & 3rd question; My Gmail app will not open & just force close. My Google services & sometimes the Play Store will force close as well. Any help will be appreciated!

So, I don't think Zen UI needs any introduction. Our device shipped with stock AOSP instead of regular Zen UI, as per users demand. However, that left users, who wanted to use Zen UI on this device, sad. But not anymore, since now we have an option to use Zen UI semi-GSI on this device, that too very easily (thanks to TWRP backup created by Vanzell Diamond). For more info, check out screenshots given below.

Prerequisites:
1. The bootloader must be unlocked;
2. TWRP 3.2.3, or any other compatible recovery must be installed;
3. It is recommended that you should be on Android Oreo stock/custom ROM first. If on pie, however, don't worry and follow the steps normally. See FAQs for more info.
Installation Procedure:
1. Download Zen UI 5 TWRP Backup Files (Copy of file in case you're facing quota exceeded error: Click Here).
2. Extract Zen UI 5 X00TD update.zip to TWRP backup folder (inside serial number folder).
Example: emulated/0/TWRP/BACKUP/[SERIAL No]
3. Reboot to TWRP 3.2.3.
4. Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache, Vendor.
5. Select Restore option in TWRP and search for recently extracted files inside BACKUP/[SERIAL No] folder.
6. Restore the backup and reboot back to TWRP (to fix system).
7. Flash Magisk (very important).

Major bugs are written in OP. And yes, it can very well be used as a daily driver, unless you really care about playing audio via bluetooth.

I tried with oxygen os for max pro M1, but faced an issue with Google Play services. I couldn't add another Google account. Play services froze.
Is there any such issue in this ROM too?

Yes, graphics intensive games work fine on this rom.

Well, as it happens, you don't necessarily have to be on oreo first. You can follow the steps even if you're on pie.
However, if you get stuck on "Verify pattern" screen (aka FRP lock), follow this video (until the reset part). I'll update OP real quick.

1. I tried. Even though safety net check is shown as successful in Magisk, Google Pay doesn't work. Magisk Hide Props Config module doesn't work either. However, I think with a little bit of researching it might work.

Brother will u please hellp me to everything frrom start...from unlocking bootloader to flash this rom. I am using realme 5 pro indian version

How is the aosp-rom camera quality compared to stock ColorOS? Can we use all quad lens on this rom with aosp camera?

I have noticed a bug with WiFi not being able to auto reconnect to a saved network. Only way is to manual connect. I notice this same bug with lineage os as well. Any recommendations for a working ROM? I have little time left to replace color os,as this phone is a gift. Im really hoping there is a fix, as if there is none im just gonna settle
with color os.

Is VOOC charging supported on this rom?

Any way to make transparent the notifications + navigation buttons? Really miss that from other roms.
Also, miss the whole 'move phone to face detect unlock' feature - have to push button or tap screen. Miss that also.
Other than that, it's a perfect rom, very happy with it. Any help in fixing the above I would really appreciate

Still searching for a fix to the first one. I found an app 'status' by James Fenn (or something) that makes it a little better, but not full transparency.

Also, I appear to be having issues with Magsik, root, and this phone in general. No matter what I do, eventually after a few reboot my phone get stuck on booting into bootloader, can't load the system at all. Anyone else experienced this? I've had to flash this device every 2 days and erase everything because of this, and I suspect it's because of twrp and magsik. Here are my steps on Realme Q (Realme 5 Pro also the same):
1. Update to newest ColorOS.
2. Unlock bootloader.
3. Boot into fastboot.
4. Flash newest TWRP via fastboot command then reboot into TWRP.
5. Flash ROM, GApps and reboot.
6. If your screen shows (boot/recovery) have been destroyed then you need to flash vbmeta from LOS thread via fastboot command.
If you still get error while flashing ROM, you should go back to ColorOS via ozip and do again my steps. (Newest TWRP has supported flashing ozip).
