Brother will u please hellp me to everything frrom start...from unlocking bootloader to flash this rom. I am using realme 5 pro indian version

How is the aosp-rom camera quality compared to stock ColorOS? Can we use all quad lens on this rom with aosp camera?

I have noticed a bug with WiFi not being able to auto reconnect to a saved network. Only way is to manual connect. I notice this same bug with lineage os as well. Any recommendations for a working ROM? I have little time left to replace color os,as this phone is a gift. Im really hoping there is a fix, as if there is none im just gonna settle
with color os.

Is VOOC charging supported on this rom?

Anyone facing the same issue?
Is there a fix?

Any way to make transparent the notifications + navigation buttons? Really miss that from other roms.
Also, miss the whole 'move phone to face detect unlock' feature - have to push button or tap screen. Miss that also.
Other than that, it's a perfect rom, very happy with it. Any help in fixing the above I would really appreciate

Still searching for a fix to the first one. I found an app 'status' by James Fenn (or something) that makes it a little better, but not full transparency.

Also, I appear to be having issues with Magsik, root, and this phone in general. No matter what I do, eventually after a few reboot my phone get stuck on booting into bootloader, can't load the system at all. Anyone else experienced this? I've had to flash this device every 2 days and erase everything because of this, and I suspect it's because of twrp and magsik. Anyone got any experience with this? I'l currently reinstalling and will leave magsik alone - not more root for me.

Here are my steps on Realme Q (Realme 5 Pro also the same):
1. Update to newest ColorOS.
2. Unlock bootloader.
3. Boot into fastboot.
4. Flash newest TWRP via fastboot command then reboot into TWRP.
5. Flash ROM, GApps and reboot.
6. If your screen shows (boot/recovery) have been destroyed then you need to flash vbmeta from LOS thread via fastboot command.
If you still get error while flashing ROM, you should go back to ColorOS via ozip and do again my steps. (Newest TWRP has supported flashing ozip).

Due to the FlymeOS for Mi 6 is based on Android 7.1 adaptation, you must ensure that the underlying Android OS is 7.1, for those who has been upgraded to 8.0 you need to downgrade to 7.1 before you can flash FlymeOS for Mi 6, Go to the Downloads for the required firmware.
Unlocked bootloader is required then boot into TWRP Recovery.

TWRP Tutorial:
Put FlymeOS ROM Package into the phone root directory, do not decompress.

Looks more like a miui theme than a ROM. Just a bit more deep.
Because if he is using miui as base then there are only so many things he can actually change.
I wonder you will find the system launcher APK name also miui system in this rom zip. I haven't downloaded so can't check.

Pretty sure it's just that Flyme looks almost the same as miui.

Well there is a major "bug" or maybe it's rather a feature ...it's mostly in CHINESE!!!!!
And it can't find my location. And no Google service or apps..you need to download them by yourself.
I like this flyme os very much, it's sad that it's not translated fully. Overall everything is very very good. Fingerprint very fast and correct. Camera is original miui camera. The OS looks and feels very stable and good. Hope to find some way to get rid of all the Chinese apps and translate all this to English.

Flyme is the official rom of Meizu,and Meizu is a Chinese company.Those apps are usually not translate to English.

WiFi Tethering is broken.
USB Tethering seems to be so slow, frequently disconnect.
Video Playback from web pages makes the browsers close.

The rom is good but the multitasking like things are bugged. What I mean is when I open my vpn app (psiphon) it runs nicely but when I open it from the recents it restarts and stops vpn service.. Then when in recents you can't get out of it easily by pressing the home button that annoys me much

Bruh... Just let it go. Official means nothing to us end users. For devs official means they would've to dedicate themselves to that one ROM, become part of the official PE site and dev group and keep it updating even if they don't really want to. I think it means responsibility. So don't keep asking 'official when!?' for a dev is dedicated enough towards one ROM will take on official too. If not they won't.

Hey there. Tested out the other PE version here on XDA, but that bootlooped after 2 weeks of usage (apparently a problem with most custom OSes). Does this fix the bootloop issue? Havoc OS recently pushed a patch that fixes said problem

I didn't mean to be rude. Just as to know why there are two threads for the same rom.
I'll be more than happy to have any roms having no bugs at all and be unofficial rather than having bugs and be official. Peace :good:

Nice! tho fingerprint hardware becomes unavailable at times, and TWRP can read the internal memory as it becomes encrypted

Yes you can!
1. Unlock bootloader.
2. Flash recovery over fastboot mode.
3. Download rom and copy it into sdcard (not internal memory).
4. Put your device into recovery mode.
5. Flash rom from sdcard
6. Format data (factory reset).
7. Come back fastboot mode and flash vbmeta.img
8. Reboot system.
So that's, you didn't need to root your mobile.

Yes, that's right. I think this rom is the best from custom roms.

How does user update OTA with this Custom ROM if the new version is available? Must flash again and cannot do it through the phone directly?

Thanks for your detailed guide! One last request tho where can I find a compatible vbmeta.img that I can flash to avoid recovery destroyed error.

There is this double tap to wake bug in this rom. No matter how your toggle is selected to in the settings, the Tap to Wake feature is always on. This is leading to battery drain too.
Another, can the wifi fix be incorporated? The wifi will not reconnect after switching it off, even though I have activated the option of wifi scanning and set the location to on. It still wouldn't reconnect automatically. You always have to manually turn the wifi on.

my questions to those testers who have tested the current official version(PixelExperience_RMX1971-10.0-20200227-0250-OFFICIAL.zip)
1) anyone tried gcam with all 4 back cameras (including macro and wide cameras) work in this rom ?
2) which version of gcam is stable for this rom?
3) is auto call recording feature available?

So far the rom is so stable, but the ram management is bad, I barely can't open 4 apps together and they load many of the times.

I'm unable to install nikgapps core in recovery. copying over zip to internal storage but getting update process ended with error: 1, error installing zip file. Installation failed! Looks like storage space is full. Anybody know a workaround?

NikGapps core is working fine. Please wipe all your partitions before installing cos and after this you can flash nikgapps core. Also make sure you are using my recovery

Oh I forgot to add the twrp download link. I will do this when I'm back at my pc.

I was NOT using your recovery, did not see it until backing out to parent directory in download link. So i used latest twrp. Just went through whole setup again and working fine now. Maybe make a second link to twrp folder for idiots like me Thanks for your help!

CipherOS is based on LineageOS. So the camera is the same. Battery is almost the same but still very good

So far this ROM is AWESOME. Such an improvement in smoothness over stock. I was having so many visual glitches with the stock one.
Only 2 issues I have so far, are 1. Can't add another google account to device, opens up google account page to add and then crashes (could be with the nikgapps though). I also didn't get prompted to restore from google account on device start (though i'm assuming this is by design?). And then 2. Biometric is a bit slower than stock. Otherwise it's perfect. Thanks again.

Thanks! Yes the first issue is a NikGapps one. The second is not an issue. You can try to learn a fingerprint without moving you finger to much or recalibrate it. For me it is very fast

DOWNLOADDownload the first GSI image from release tab, then unpack it from .xz archiveto obtain the .img that we need.
INSTALL1. Have TWRP set up.2.In TWRP go to WIPE > Format Data > (type '' yes '') then enter.(2.5). If you don't have MicroSD, reboot to recovery and use ADB to move the image to Internal Storage.3.Copy/Move the .img file to MicroSD4.Install .img as SYSTEM.5. Install latest Magisk.6. Reboot7.Install Magisk APKDONE!

Hello! Did Verizon worked in stock? Did you tried switching SIM slots? I heard this is a common problem in AOSP so it may never work.

yes, Verizon works fine on stock. I have not tried on this particular ROM but every other rhyme created for the a71 neither slots work

Hello! I didn't understand your problem with AOD, if you refer that you cannot activate it, go to Settings >> PHH Setting > Samsung or Misc settings ( i cant remember ) scroll down then think AOD _ _ _ , then restart device and it should work, same to disable it or you can use the quick settings to deactivate it. The bugs of AOD is that you cannot use FOD in AOD screen and it isn't touch responsive. Related to camera app, no you cannot use stock camera on any AOSP regardless.

just flashed this rom, so far so good, everything worked out the box so far. ill repost if i find any bugs.

Everything working for me except i cant get the phone to show up on my pc when i plug it into usb, it's set to file transfer mode and works fine in twrp.

I'm I missing something: how do I possibly get rounded corners on apps when opening and switching? I've tried so many GSIs, and so far only lawnchair 12.1 has that feature as far as I know.

anyone manage to get file transfers working? i still have to boot into twrp to transfer files to and from my phone as the rom doesn't seem to work right when connected to my pc, i get the ding that it's detected but that's it

Hello, i'm a newbie to android modding and custom roms but i want to flash this as i hate OneUI but i have two major concerns
Will i be able to use Google or Samsung Wallet and banking apps (i know that installing custom roms break the know waranty bit?
If i somehow mess up the TWRP or the custom ROM install will i be able to unbrick it?

Spoiler: Using PE recovery
1. Recommended Samsung firmware version is A705FNXXU5DVK6, but it will work on slightly older versions too.Make sure that the bootloader is unlocked.--
2. Boot the phone into download mode. Flash Pixel Experience recovery through AP button in Odin.Download here. Note: TWRP will not work! It does not support new A13 roms with the latest changes.
Use PE recovery for the best experience, otherwise don't complain if your phone bootloops.

3. Boot into recovery (Vol+ and Power while USB is plugged into PC) Note: Samsung's OneUI wipes the custom recovery partition and possibly vbmeta while booting so try not to reboot into Android.

5. Flash the rom in "Apply update" menu. There are 2 ways to install:
On the phone: Copy the zip to a FAT32-formatted microSD card and install it in recovery.
With a PC: Use Minimal ADB on Windows. Open "cmd-here" and type

So far so good on the a70(sm-a705mn), I just made the installation without problems, thank you very much for continuing to create roms for the a70q, now only remains to test the pixel experience rom.

Working well on (SM-705GM). No issues except screen gets brighter while unlocking device. Easy and Quick installation. Excellent installation guide. Thanks for this rom.

Came from the crDroid A12 GSI. This is such a lovely ROM. Really impressed, working fine and fingerprint is better than the official Samsung ROM. Great stuff. The hardware on this phone is still great and Samsung ditching it at Android 11 seems like such a waste.

New update is out, fixing a battery drain issue and homescreen stutters.
Unfortunately, it requires a recovery update and a clean flash due to filesystem-related changes, so please back up your data (for example make a google backup) before updating!
Upgrade process is basically: reflash new recovery, wipe data, flash the .zip, like in install guide.
This shouldn't be an issue in the future builds, sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm actually impressed with how good the battery is compared to crDroid GSI. No issues on homescreen either (using Nova). Installed only a few days ago!

GSIs are pretty terrible from my experience, so I feel like actually porting the rom is worth the effort.

It's crazy how this rom is so smooth. Well done

The ROM is awesome.. very good work
The bugs are:
1- screen of FOD not working
2- vibration on answering and ending calls not working .. I am not sure if it was working on other ROM versions ..

Loving the ROM, works great.
Sorry to be nitpicky but could you fix the aliasing on the rounded corners. Think it's in a file called dimens.xml. Just needs a proper rounded corner value set I think. It'll also make the Google Assistant swipe animation follow the rounded corners.
I can't remember off the top of my head on how I fixed it for the A50 but I believe I removed the separate top and bottom values and replaced them with just rounded_corner_radius.

Oh, unfortunate. Android Auto support on custom roms has always been kind of hit-and-miss anyways, on many devices across many different roms. It's not that high of a priority for rom devs. Either way I can't test that since my stereo doesn't have AA
