SIM cards are detected once I restored the TWRP backup file, but aren't detected on flashing lineage and resurrection ROMs.

That is the most context-less answer I've had in some time.... "unlock bootloader and erase modems firmware" written in commands.
Device is unlocked, that's why it has lineage...
Now why would erasing modem firmware solve the issue? Was I supposed to blindly erase firmware and do nothing more to solve the problem?
I actually solved the problem by flashing a 26s extracted firmware for my china region x520. I am using g it in Europe. I am not linking the firmeware for 2 reasons: 1. Firmware is closed source/leeco proprietary and 2. Posting might induce non-x520 users to flash and have the same issue I had because of flashing wrong firmware. Even here this firmware is not 100% ok as I had to change a build property for getting calls audio (fluence to none, I think thisbis the VoLTE issue). Anyway, if someonr here has issues, flash your original twrp backup (hope u had one, i accidentally deleted mine from my work pc due to space needs). Or else youre gonna have to find a stock ROM/firmware and bite the bullet for the 1.6GB download. AND IT HAS TO BE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC LE 2 MODEL (e. g. X520, x525 x527, x620... If it isn't you will likely not have SIMs/imeis or call settings will orevent u from having sound due to VoLTE support failure)

Maybe you should do some research about the given commands and what they are doing.
Sounds like you do not understand these commands?
Is there really any difference in the extracted firmware from version 26s to e.g. 21s?
Someone wrote there were no updates in modem firmware since 20s or 21s??

Ok sorry !
Were you replying to me @JamBax?
Anyway, I have no idea about the latest modem images already being in 21S. All I know is most people consider 19S as benchmark for telehpony and VoLTE, since 21S apparently has trouble with VoLTE. I don't doubt 21S is the last one available though, and there might never be a new one. Cheap hardware companies will usually have in-house devs for their custom AOSP, but mostly use manufacturer provided hardware-related stuff (such as modem firmware) or outsource it, so those reach support cycles faster. Granted, it doesn't need so much revisions and polish - the more contained features make it easier to reach its prime. The hardware simply won't improve with code up to a point.
I flashed 26S because it's what I could find in a package that was extracted from the entire so-called "firmware" around this XDA subforum (stock ROM aka manufacturer ROM aka EUI). Saved myself downloading 1.5+GB on a data-capped 3G I currently am using.
I'm likely not gonna try 21S/19s or any other endeavor in this x520 as all I wanted was to have the phone ready and usable as a birthday gift. The present subject will likely never use VoLTE in the life-span of this phone, since we don't have LTE on our village anyway and 2G is staying up for at least 4 more years. They are just happy they can now use Facebook much better than with their old 4.5'', 3y-old crappy Huawei (you know, before they could make half-decent chipsets, even now I still think they suck despite topping synthetic charts for CPU. From personal experience, I still can't trust the performance of any chinese chipset, be it Mediatek, Allwiner, Huawei or Xiaomi, and the only asian-designed thing I trust is, obviously, Exynos).
P.S: the phones were used today to make at least 10 calls successfully. I did not try dual SIM though, single SIMs only. Didn't switch any telephony settings either from the standard menu or the hidden test menu, so I take it the phone is doing 2G calls.
No issues on my side
I have installed Lineage OS 14.1 official, and I have no issues with sim card detection. The signal strength is weaker, but it gets detected at least
Hello everyone,
After I unlocked my device, I've tried most of the roms to find a daily driver. I installed and set them up then backed up all partitions with twrp for each rom so I won't have to reinstall apps, etc. Then I decided to go with xiaomi global rom, restored it using twrp.
But after that it couldn't connect to mobile network (No problem with wifi). I tried to fastboot flash stock China rom but it didn't fix that. A friend of mine suggested to restore qcn file using qpst but the problem is I didn't have any backup with that (I though twrp backup was for entire device, didn't know I needed that).
What do you guys think? Will restoring qcn with QPST will fix my device? If so can anyone share a backup for Mi 8 Pro China version. Or do you think is there another way to fix it?
Hoping you gurus will help me out, thanks in advance.
First off - Mods, I have the original box and sticker IMEIs if needed as proof.
I have been flashing between AOSP and Stock trying to fix a Microphone bug on my phone (see previous posts), when all of a sudden my phone will no longer connect to Network (IMEI unavailable error)
I went through every QCN backup + editing I could think of, even using my friends Mi 9 that we both bought from the same place in China as a QCN backup + my IMEI edits.
Everytime I edit the QCN and load it, the phone just boot loops immediately shutting down upon OS load. Using MiFlash back to stock didn't work, and I had to flash Evo X rom to get it to boot normally now, but I"m also missing WiFI MAC onto of my IMEIs.
I seriously have no idea what to do. I've tried every IMEI editing tool or Hex Editor in the book to put my original IMEIs back in to no avail. What am I doing wrong that cases it to restart loop when I push my updated QCN file?
Thanks in advance - Can provide whatever else you need.

As i understand you have China version of Mi 9, saying: "MiFlash back to stock didn't work" you meаn you have flashed official xiaomi china FASTBOOT ROM and it did't work?
Then i afraid the problem is deeper then in the ROM. Because by flashing stock fastboot ROM you flash everything that possible to flash, ROM and all images, with all setting like it was from the store.

Correct. Reflashing China ROM in Fastboot does not fix the problem. It fixes the bootlooping but not the IMEI issue.
Is there anyone have video tutorial to repair imei without using any paid apps? I can't understand the procedures by only reading the steps. Pleasee help me fix my phone

How to Backup and Restore IMEI/NVRAM data on Mediatek Chipset Android Device
Alright, so you have an Android Device which has a Mediatek Chip inside. It looks like that you are not someone who uses their Android Device for basic
www.getdroidtips.com
The spflashtool option in the video was the simplest for my situation though.
I never went back to restore the imei from nvram. I just went back to the stock lancelot rom and the info was saved. When I went to the rom the imei was there in the about section phone status.
If I used miflash i chose the clean all option. Remember not to lock it.
And if I used sp flash tool i used firmware update or download mode. NOT Format ALL. I think that is why my imei may have been deleted at first.
If you manage to put that recovery there is an option there to restore from NVRAM

Yes you should be able to use miflash in fastboot if your bootloader is already unlocked. I don't know what version of miui is best. I just went back to the stock rom and then updated. If you mean you can't talk on 13.0.2.0, and you got the camellia (Redmi note 10 5g china/india) it's a glitch on Global MIUI 13 and camellia version. Probably an issue w/ google's permissions update, it's glitching with unintended models running Miui 13 + Google Services.
You have to wait until (if) Xiaomi updates the Camellia model to miui 13.
Oddly enough, GSIs seem to be exempt of this issue.
Any update on this issue ?
Thanks

Dont flash the Chinese rom if you have the camellian. Only the camellia.
On camellian, it will probably brick it. I have tried it, it went to recovery instead. I havent wiped data but you could try, but chances that wont boot normally.
If you have the camellia, its good to go.
I have the same problem with my redmi note 10 5 G, miui 13.0.2

camellia or camellian?
I suggest trying Android 11, Android 12 has an unstable 5G network signal.

In fact, I have brushed the rom of several countries, but still brushed back to the original CN region Android 11 latest stable package as the base package, and then brushed into linegaeos GSI
The main thing is signal stability

"it's clear" reminded me of platform tools. Sorry if you actually dont know how to do the procedure, anyways, download adb here > https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
Boot your phone into fastboot mode, then, open the folder of platform-tools (should not be compressed or i winrar, extract all the files to a folder), in the search bar of the folder type in "cmd" and now type:
fastboot getvar product
then it should either appear camellia or camellian

Try searching up online and on youtube you will get alot of results.
If we could support TWRP we could flash Magisk GApps easily but Im not sure if any of the TWRP builds we got on the forum even work for flashing if a/b devices dont support recoveries.
